Original consultants are still working within the business today, managing client and contractor personnel, many of whom have moved with Petroplan throughout their careers.

History
Petroplan was founded in London in 1976 by industry experts John Reeder and Graham Pyle to supply project engineering professionals to UK Oil & Gas Operators. The Company soon became a leading supplier of quality, skilled professionals to UK North Sea Operations and steadily expanded through the 1980s prompting a move to larger premises in Guildford at the end of 1987.
The 1990s saw expansion into overseas territories, opening facilities to support client operations in the Republics of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation. In more recent years, Petroplan has invested heavily in consolidating their domestic and overseas support capability with the establishment of fully operational offices in Scotland (Aberdeen), Canada (Calgary), Algeria (Hassi Messaoud), the USA (Houston) and Qatar (Doha). These offices are complemented by a network of strategic partnerships and in-country representatives enabling Petroplan to support Contractors and Clients in over 30 worldwide locations.
