| Description: | based in Calgary, Our client a major Oil and Gas operator requires a Senior Commercial Specialist for a Mega Oilsands project.
Some responsibilities include:
- Lead bid evaluations, performing commercial bid analysis
- Develop and negotiate contracts, focusing on appropriate risk allocation, acceptable terms and conditions and correct schedule utilization
- Manage all project specific commercial matters including contract strategies, pre-qualifications, bid evaluations and negotiations, commercial contract administration, and variations and claims management
- Mitigate project risk through pro-active management and negotiation of contractual disputes, appropriately utilizing variations, contract amendments and new contracts
Qualifications
- A university degree in Engineering, Law, or Business Administration is required
- 10-15 years' commercial experience in global major and mega projects
- Proven experience as an owner/operators representative in managing contractual relationships with large EPC contracts/contractors related to oil sands mega projects
