Description:Large oil and gas operator client seeking operations wellsite geologist for long term opportunity in Trinidad

Job Description
Supervision of work performed by "Formation Evaluation" contractors (Mud Logging Geologists, MWD/LWD Logging Engineers, Wireline Logging Engineers, Pore pressure detection/ wellbore stability and Coring Personnel). Safety aspects for the well and personnel associated with these formation evaluation operations.
Quality control of all formation evaluation results and logs prior to accepting the data or logs from those contractors & before sending them to oil company offices.

Requirements:
Minimum 1st degree in geology from accredited university.
Minimum 10 years experience total working as a wellsite geologist, at least 5 which on an offshore rig.
Experience includes shallow hazard risks and mitigations, high angle development wells, and geosteering / directional drilling knowledge.
Good working knowledge of pore pressure detection and real time wellbore instability.
Good working knowledge of operation and data quality from standard LWD tools (GR/RES/NEU/DENS) and standard wireline tools (MDT, GR/RES/NEU/DENS).
Good working knowledge of 'GEO for Windows' software by Geologix, to compile composite logs integrated with drilling events.
Good data management and information technology skills proficient in basic Windows toolkit including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Adobe.
Preferedl experience
Years of experience working in the Trinidad Columbus Basin, or on an offshore rig in a Tertiary Clastic geological environment.
