| Description: | Opportunity to join a leading Oil & Gas Operator based in Dublin, Ireland. Required to provide Petro physical expertise to the Exploration and P&D Groups by processing, analysing and interpreting geological data acquired in wells, in order to perform formation evaluation tasks with respect to wells in which Client has an interest.
Responsibilities: - To process and interpret electric log data collected by the logging contractor, in cooperation with the Exploration team and under the direction of his/her supervisor. - To carry out quantitative evaluation of hydrocarbon zones, to determine Petro physical parameters (porosity, water saturation and salinity, pay thickness). - To carry out computerised analysis (C.P.I.) of log data, in cooperation with the Exploration team and under the direction of his/her supervisor. - To carry out Well Test interpretations for the Exploration Department. - To monitor technically the work performed by logging and core analysis contractor in relation with operated wells. - To monitor partners' operations with respect to Log Acquisition, Core Analysis and Petro physical Interpretation.
The job holder will ideally have: Degree: Masters or PhD Major: Geophysics / Physics / Mathematics / Engineering The ideal person will have at least 8+ years experience of working for an operator, consultancy or service company in the oil and gas sector.
