In this role, you will be responsible for the administrative and organizational management of the office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative, accounting, project and executive support related tasks. The candidate will be very well organized and flexible, and will enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a small office of diverse people and projects. The candidate must be able to function effectively in a variety of roles within a dynamic environment under minimum supervision.

Candidate ideally will have a undergraduate degree in business administration and/or have demonstrated experience in a similar role. Ideal candidates will also have 7 years of experience as an office manager, or similar role.

The British-American Business Council (BABC) is the largest transatlantic business network, with 22 Chapters and over 2,000 member companies based in major business centers throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Its membership includes many of the world's largest multinationals, as well as hundreds of middle market and smaller companies.

The BABC is a not-for-profit membership organization. Members participate in the BABC to obtain access to a broader transatlantic business network; gain access to business development, networking and marketing opportunities and to gain valuable business insights and intelligence. The BABC also actively engages with government on a broad range of policy issues to ensure that members views and interests are raised.

The BABC Houston Chapter are currently looking to hire an Executive Director. In this high profile and challenging role you will report to the Board and will be responsible for:

  • Leading the overall strategic direction and operation of BABC Houston.
  • Developing strategic programs, events and activities for member companies.
  • Expanding current membership by creating new opportunities and new sponsorship partnerships with individuals, businesses and community organizations.
  • Represent BABC Houston at a range of high-profile functions, seminars, trade shows and events.
  • Develop, maintain and support a strong Board of Directors.
  • Preparation and organization of board meetings; committee meetings; member events and respond in a timely and proactive manner to all ad-hoc membership requests.
  • Build business; financial and IT management systems and procedures and maintain official records to ensure compliance with federal, state, local and BABC regulations



Suitable Candidates for the Executive Director role will have excellent interpersonal skills and a broad range of business, finance & technology skills. The role has no direct reports but is well supported by the Board, Members and Volunteers so it requires you to be capable of operating both strategically and in a hands on manner. You must have a passion for developing US & UK business relationships and for enhancing our members experience and engagement.

Salary package commensurate with experience & home based role.

Petroplan is seeking a Management and Professional Trainer to join the Leadership Development Division (LDD) of the Management and Professional Development Department (M&PDD) for a major Oil and Gas Company in Houston, TX- to work overseas in Saudi Arabia.

The Management and Professional Trainer's primary role is to serve as a facilitator to managers, supervisors, and professional employees in the area of leadership, management, and supervisory training with primary responsibility for conducting higher level management training courses and other training experiences. This includes most aspects of the Human Resource Development function, such as needs assessment, research, design of training sources, instruction, piloting, and evaluation.


Minimum Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in a human resource discipline. A master's degree is preferred.
  • 6-10 years of experience in the delivery of training programs focused on leadership, management, and professional development. You will have experience in preparing a classroom learning environment and conducting training for 5 to 100 participants.
  • You will also have proven experience as a workshop facilitator delivering leadership, management, and supervisory knowledge and skills. You will be able to prepare a training classroom environment as well as conduct and evaluate courses.
  • You must have a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships at different levels within the organization and expert ability to effectively manage a classroom environment during training.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Present structured content in a way that inspires participants toward greatness.
  • Conduct leadership, management, and supervisory courses and learning content.
  • Successfully complete and maintain certifications.
  • Continually gain up-to-date knowledge on leadership, management, and supervisory soft skills.
  • Collaborate with other learning professionals in the development of new course material.
  • Review curricula and make recommendations on utilizing state-of-the-art training aids and techniques, including computer-based and interactive training systems.
  • Assist in other divisional activities either directly or indirectly related to divisional training.
  • Under the direction of the supervisor, conduct classroom training and assist in field training activities.
  • Be an effective team member who consistently practices proven characteristics of effective teaming.
