HSE Management Systems coordinator
11 - £12 per annum

I am looking to recruit a HSE Management Systems coordinator to work in central London on a long term contract with the possibility of going permanent.

Purpose

  1. Support the Head of HSSE in the operational delivery of the HSSE agenda
  2. Provide support to all technical authorities as the technical writer for the HSSE Management System including the site based operational and maintenance systems.
  3. Reduce complexity and increase clarity of all IUK HSSE Management System guides and instructions.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

  1. Responsible for driving the implementation of an integrated HSSE Management System.
  2. Maintenance and continual development of the management system to meet the existing and future needs of the organisation.
  3. Maintain a register of all HSSE Management System documents (policies, explanations, procedures and guides)
  4. Plan, develop, write and edit operational procedures and manuals.
  5. Working with the IT personnel ensure quick and reliable access to the HSSE Management System procedures and content
  6. Writing ad-hoc reports, technical notes and correspondence, particularly for authority communication and edit or proofread others text as necessary.
  7. Creating and editing pictures, diagrams and other communication aid material.
  8. General technical support, including maintenance of files and records.
  9. Helping to prepare reports and letters to the regulator.
  10. Assist with presentation materials, databases, spreadsheets and other general support needs of staff
  11. Assist with special requests and/or projects
  12. Analyse documents to maintain continuity of style and content.
  13. Helping to update the HSSE Annual Report, attending review meetings and acting as secretary at these meetings. Collating the information and sharing with discipline managers.
  14. Managing the administration of the emergency response room in London and ensuring all documents are current and up to date. Working with the technical authority to ensure the emergency procedures have been revised and are current.
  15. Local Action Tracking System Administrator, inputting and tracking completion and closeout of actions and helping to expedite progress.
  16. Maintaining the Safety and Environmental Performance Data spreadsheets, ensuring all accidents, incidents, environmental data, safety input data and man-hours are accurate and up-to-date.
  17. Working with the HSSE Lead to summarise key lessons learned for the business after any incidents.

Our client, a Major owner/operator within the Petro-chem Industy, is seeking an experienced Environmental Filed Tech within Louisiana.
Suitable candidates will come from a environmental / regulatory background and ideally with commissioning experience of large scale refineries and petro-chem facilities.
Seeking candidates with at least 5 x years industry experience.
Role will be working closely with the client EPC and validating environmental policies / guidelines.
This is a contract opening located near Lake Charles, Louisiana.

HSE Advisor


Currently recruiting a HSE Advisor for a Drilling Company in Nigeria. This position would be on a local status, thus not available for expatriates.


Requirements

  • Reasonable understanding of Nigerian regulations in relation to the oil industry
  • Reasonable knowledge of all offshore license requirements
  • Fundamental knowledge of offshore drilling equipment and processes
  • Very Knowledgeable of risk assessment and management of change.
  • Fundamental knowledge of rig emergency / rescue equipment and processes
  • Reasonable knowledge of crisis management
  • Fundamental knowledge of environmental management
  • Fundamental knowledge of a general safety management system / Safety Case
  • Knowledgeable of IADC reporting and classification of injury / illness
  • Able to present and teach to a large audience
  • Nigerian national
  • Registered with Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria. ISPON
  • Proficient in written and oral English
  • Proficient in computer applications such as office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Hands-on, driven and capable to handle large volume of work
  • Display high work ethics and integrity at all times
  • Able to manage conflict and escalate as required



Ideal Qualifications

  • Nebosh International General Certificate or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or OSHA equivalent qualifications or combination thereof. (i.e. 9001, 14001. 18001)
  • Nebosh certificate or Diploma in Environmental Management
  • Nebosh International Technical certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety
  • Nebosh Fire Safety and Risk Assessment Certificate
  • Advanced Investigation Team Leader TapRoot® certification.
  • ISM Code Lead Internal Auditor
  • Emergency Medical Qualifications


Experience

  • Five years or more previous experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry in a similar position or as a safety professional employed on an offshore drilling rig.

HSE Manager


Currently have an opening for a HSE Manager with a large company in Sweden. This company is a world leader in high voltage products and manufacturing. Must be fluent in English and Swedish. This would be a residential position close to Stockholm with some travel internationally involved.


Ideal candidate with have 10 years in HSE Management and ideally have a strong electrical safety background.

Role

  • Communicate with all levels of management in order to achieve excellence in environment, health and safety and prevent against incidents / accidents.
  • Initiate and maintain quality input of an environment, health and safety management system which meets specification requirements (OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001).
  • Carry out safety audits, identify trends, review and analyze HSE deviations, investigate accidents and root causes, introduce and supervise corrective actions.
  • A thorough understanding of field HSE issues with the ability to quickly and proactively support managers in the implementation of appropriate corrective and preventative measures.
  • Capable of working and delivering in complex working environment and under pressure.
  • Excellent knowledge of HSE legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Electrical Safety is a definite asset.
  • Experience in similar position would be highly appreciated.
  • Willing to travel
