Petroplan is currenlty hiring for a Senior Machine Operator for a large oil and gas manufacturer here in Houston, TX

Job Duties:

  • Individual must be in good physical condition, have good communication skills both verbal and written, able to lift up to 50lbs, capable of operating mechanical equipment, (i.e. Forklift, overhead crane, hand tools, etc)
  • Under limited supervision, sets up, adjusts, and operates a variety of machine tools which may include numerical control/computerized numeric control lathes, mills, drills, computerized numerical control/numerical control and/or manual machines and other equipment.
  • May be required to read blueprints, utilize Esprit software, perform varying levels of shop mathematics associated with machining operations, and perform inspection procedures to verify work.
  • May use a wide range of measurement devices, procedures, and machining techniques, and program machines as required.
  • Capable of performing complex machining processes, which may include prototype products.

Job Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Valid Drivers License

CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist - Calgary
Immediate vacancies for experienced CNC programmers in a Calgary based downhole tool manufacturing company servicing the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate must be experienced in multi axis CNC operations.
This position is on a shift cycle with set hours a week, requirement for overtime is based on scale and timeline of individual projects. Permanent position based on completion of probationary period.
Job Description:

  • Requires machine programming, set up, clean down, and visual inspection of completed parts.
  • Ensuring all parts are manufactured according to design requirements
  • Service equipment as necessary to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Adherence to client tolerances must be met.
  • Adhere to deadlines of manufacturing work orders
  • Always maintain a safe and clean work area


Requirements:

  • At least 2 years experience programming CNC operation in Milling, Turning or both.
  • Experienced on CAD-CAM packages such as MasterCAM, EdgeCAM, etc.
  • Experience with multiple material types e.g. Carbon Steels, Brass, Aluminium, Inconel, and Stainless Steel.
  • Ability to read and understand basic drawings
  • Ability to verify dimensions of parts machined using basic measuring tools such as micrometers, callipers, bore gages and other precision measuring instruments
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

This position requires previous experience working within the Land department of an oil & gas operating company, performing a variety of duties within the division. Prospective candidates must have a working knowledge of oil & gas related functions and be well versed in industry terms/language.

Petroplan is currently working with an expansion focused independent E&P business who are in the process of adding to their operational activities. Due to this continued growth, a need has arisen within the business to add a highly experienced Production Superintendent to their San Antonio location to assist with the ongoing and upcoming unconventional projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the Production manager and be responsible for aspects of the production activity. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Supervising and coordinating with field personal during operations and analyse reports and capture lessons learned
  • Travel to the field is required as and when needed
  • Deal with third party vendors with a strong focus on cost and performance

You must have at least 10 years of experience, including 6 years' experience in oil and gas operations working within production and experience as a project lead is preferential.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.

Candidate profile am looking for:
- 15 to 20 years experience in Oil Refinery
- Experience and knowledge in at least 2 or3 of the following Process Plants: High Vacuum Distillation, Continuous Catalytic Reformer, Hydrocracker, Diesel Hydrodesulphurizer, Delayed Coker, Sulphur Recovery Unit & Amine Treating, Utilities.
- Preferably 10 years experience in Refinery Operations and 5 years in similar position
- Experience and knowledge of the Utilities and Off-sites
- Good track record of achievements in a similar position.
- Excellent Management Skills: Analytical / Planning / Organizing / Controlling
- Excellent interpersonal and man management skills: Leadership, Team Building and communication
Also very important will be his ability to set up a new organization & work processes, input into the staff recruitment, training, the procedures etc … direct, monitor and guide his team to the proper state of readiness

It is quite a big role and they are looking for someone with excellent technical knowledge and management experience.

In this position, you will report directly into the Head of Development and function as the lead for Production engineering. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Increasing production levels by replicating and testing new completions methods
  • Evaluate and plan Artificial lift methods primarily Gas lift & Plunger lift
  • Provide Engineering support and Well Surveillance

You must have at least 7 years of experience, including 3 years' experience in oil and gas operations working as a Production Engineer on Drilling projects.
