Petroplan is in search for a Document Control Coordinator in Medicine Hat for a turnaround project.

This will be a 3-4 month contract.

LOA will be provided, you will be expected to organize your own travel and accommodation.

Overview:

To coordinate turnaround team documentation and drawings, ensuring all engineering records are correctly managed within the document management system. Acts as the 'gatekeeper' in ensuring document control processes are followed, document control deliverables meet quality standards and associated client processes for final project records are properly administered.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with the turnaround team to identify the requirements for the controlling of documents for the development of all turnaround work pacakages.
  • Work with the turnaround team to identify the requirements for turnover packages from contractors executing the work.
  • Build a database to track all expected turnover packages.
  • Support the review of all packages received.
  • Set up filing system for turnover packages and file as received.

Experience required:

  • Knowledge of data management systems and document control processes
  • Experience in a similar role is an asset - familiarity with technical/engineering related documents (specification sheets, AutoCAD drawings), workflows (change request and approval process) and concepts (component tags, engineering record numbers, hard and soft revisions)
  • Software Skills - proficient in using various project information management tools such as Adobe Acrobat Professional, File Transfer Protocol (FTP site), Windows 7, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage several competing priorities at once

The OSBL Superintendent will be responsible for OSBL construction coordination and execution.
The OSBL Superintendent will coordinate the OSBL coordinators and supervise the Contractors' daily work include planning, organizing, directing, and controlling methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, work schedule and documentations.
Primary Functions:
* Responsible for Safety guidance and enforcement of site rules and regulations. 25%

* Ensures OSBL coordinators bring RFI's to closure, and contractors work complies with project requirements, specifications and / or drawings. 15%

* Monitor and follow Refinery Emergency Response Plan. 5%
* Provide input and monitor the construction schedule, including identifying potential problems and impacts to the schedule. 5%

Required Experience/Certifications:
* Appropriate Trade designation / certification (Carpenter / Ironworker / Concrete etc.)
* Journeyman designation as a minimum
* A minimum of 25 years of experience on large capital projects
* Proven track record of success as an effective leader and construction professional
* Strong technical competency at the planning, execution, and completion levels
* Proven practical knowledge of current project and construction management tools and practices (e.g. cost management systems, scheduling, estimating, risk tools, constructability, etc.)
* An understanding of the competitive environment and ideally bring an extensive personal network of contacts in the EPC, Oil and Gas and related large-scale process industries while understanding the issues and challenges is required

Principal Responsibilities

  • Use industrial lift trucks, pallet jacks, handling tools, motorised equipment, such as forklifts, to move manufactured goods and materials to and from storage areas, warehouse rack and delivery vehicles.
  • Picking, filling, packing and shipping orders. Apply labels to containers, load filling machines, stack and palletize products
  • Track orders and document work, pack shipping containers and boxes, pull ordered materials from appropriate bins, receive and sequence pulling orders d. Assist/support in stock checks and other day to day routine tasks in the warehouse.
  • Carry out warehouse material receipt and issuance within company Plant (spares, consumables, chemical etc.) and maintain records.
  • Check that material received is in compliance with the requirements and report nonconformance on a timely basis. g. Report all non-conformances to indicate losses or damage of material in the warehouse.
  • Label all materials delivered to company warehouse to ensure storage in proper locations.
  • Follow procedures for preservation of all materials stored in company warehouse and yard.
  • Adhere to procedures for proper documentation for the receipt and issuance of stock.
  • Handle hazardous materials with safety procedures in mind.
  • Operate forklift in safe way and/or supervise forklift operation with another Operator.
  • Check that all dispatch off site materials is well packed before transported to the required destination.


Qualification

  • Diploma in relative discipline or its equivalent.
  • Alternatively, a trade test witnessed by company discipline Engineer.
  • Experience more than 4 years' experience in mechanical maintenance with 2 years in similar role
