Our client, a leading Owner / Operator within the Oil & Gas industry, are currently looking for a HAZOP Facilitator to join them in Houston. This organization, have a multi billion dollar project currently in the works and are looking for a candidate from a major project background.
Experience

  • 15 years industry experience
  • Extensive proven experience in HAZOP/LOPA facilitation
  • Ideal candidate should have LNG experience but Cryogenic is required
  • Require an engineering degree qualified (process, mechanical) with PE preferable

Plant Engineer

Company Overview:

We are currently working with a US Based organization that provides refineries, gas processing and petrochemical plants a wide variety of catalyst services and products.

Position Summary:

The Plant Engineer primarily oversees the process within the Plant. The ideal candidate would be able to oversee, recommend, and implement new processes and utilization of operations and equipment. They will also be responsible for providing a wide array of engineering knowledge and skills for related projects, proposals, processes, etc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pre-approve and monitor jobs around the facility and make recommendations wherever need be
  • Works alongside various members of the team including, production manager, customer service, warehouse managers, sales, and other key personnel.
  • Maintain a visible daily presence to stay informed and assist in troubleshooting any issues that arise
  • Serves as the back-up for the Production Manager.
  • Must be leader in Plant Safety compliance and driving safe behavior within the operation.
  • Works very closely with Shift Supervisor's and Operators on a daily basis, and oversees the technical troubleshooting within the Plant.
  • Analyzes lab and production parameters and data to both resolve technical issues, and improve production.
  • Conducts well documented technical trials on the process and writes reports on these trials as needed.
  • Works closely with R&D team to develop new products and to improve existing products.
  • Perform support work and troubleshooting work in the pilot lab.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and planning sessions that involve Plant operations.
  • Works with accounting team to finalize monthly utility usage.
  • Be a key contributor on special projects and capital projects as assigned.
  • Involved in training process for newly hired Operators; will also train Shift Supervisors and A Operators on new technical processes and procedures as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; or equivalent combination of some education plus 2-3 years of experience.
  • 2-3 years operations experience; preferably in an Oil & Gas, Catalyst, or Chemical Manufacturing
  • Computer skills including but not limited to: Inventory Management System, Microsoft Suite, Outlook
  • Experience in ISO-9001 a plus.
  • Professional Engineer certification not required, but a plus.

Facilities Project Manager

The Facilities Projects Manager reports directly to the Vice President Engineering and will provide general Engineering, Procurement, Construction oversight and Operations support to the facility for all Capital Projects for both the Home Office and Site. The Facilities Projects Manager will also control schedule and Budget for all projects under his direction.
Strong knowledge of the design, operation and maintenance of equipment and systems within an LNG Plant is required. Understanding of all facets of LNG processing, storage and transportation, including health, safety, maintenance, operations, governmental regulations and associated codes and standards. In-depth knowledge of plant maintenance philosophies and design, operation and maintenance of equipment and systems within the LNG Plant. Knowledge of FERC, USCG, DOT and OSHA regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Position has responsibility for coordination of the Project technical activities, plans, cost controls and schedules. Has oversight of Contractor(s) engineering work and monitors work for compliance of applicable codes and specifications, accepted engineering practices and company requirements.
  • Responsibilities include oversight of Project general tasks and activities for engineering, procurement support and assistance, design, construction, project cost and schedule and handover to Operations.
  • The Facility Projects Manager is the lead technical representative for management of subcontractors and direct contractors for adherence to the project design and specification basis.
  • Provide company engineering design input to the subcontractors for adherence to LNG codes and other relevant standards.
  • Lead, supervise, and participate in a multi-discipline team of professionals that provide Company support, monitoring, reporting and project controls related to the project.
  • Participate in the oversight for development of engineering specifications and provide guidance and quality assurance in the procurement of materials, equipment and services to ensure conformity with sound engineering practice and cost effectiveness.
  • Provide supervision to the construction quality and adherence to specifications within a safe work environment of all the Contractors and subcontractors.
  • Assure adherence to approved designs, project specifications, schedule and budget that comply with safety and environmental regulations/procedures and other statutory requirements.
  • Keep management and Project Team informed of any technical, schedule or cost impacts to other project tasks & activities.


Education:

· A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required. A Professional Engineering License in good standing with the state of Texas or Louisiana is preferred.

Experience:

· Minimum of ten (10) years of LNG plant and/or natural gas process plant operations working experience within the oil and gas industry of which at least 4 years of experience in a similar position of responsibility and expertise in an operating LNG Liquefaction facility.

Essential Abilities


Experience of operating in a field based processing/production operations environment, with
good understanding of process safety hazards and the safety critical controls required to
manage process safety hazards.
Excellent understanding of HSE Management Systems and their application in an oil and gas
environment.
Proven track record of delivering exceptional HSE performance.
Demonstrable and visible HSE Leadership skills and experience of working with field based /
operational HSE teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work and coach across all
levels of the organisation and diverse cultures Ability to understand and analyse complex
information and report / present in simply and accurately.
Experience in Behavioural Based Safety Systems.
Strong verbal communication and written skills.

Minimum Qualifications


Potential candidates interested in the HSE Advisor position must meet the following requirements:
Fluent in written and spoken English. French desirable.
Relevant work experience in Drilling and Completions and Production Operations.
Previous Experience working in Africa (preferable)
University Technical degree preferred, Minimum NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
Proficient in MS Office Suite
