Hydrovac Operator

Summary:
Participate as a crew member in Hydrovac operations. This position will operate a company vehicle on a daily basis between the district and work site to service clients of the company. This position will also operate designated equipment as assigned by the Service Supervisor.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies
  • Ability to verbally communicate and understand details and directions
  • Responsible for the safe operation of assigned equipment on all locations while under the supervision of the Service Supervisor or other crew members
  • Perform all Pre-job and Post-job maintenance duties and reports, as instructed by the Service Supervisor or other crew members
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment and the cleanliness of the equipment
  • Complete all Pre/Post trip reports for all equipment, under the supervision of the Service Supervisor or other crew members
  • Properly maintain Driver DOT Logs
  • Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable health, safety and environmental procedures and regulations
  • Maintain satisfactory driving record
  • Perform duties according to documented Standard Operating Practices and comply with all requirements and work place instructions
  • Perform various other duties assigned by the Service Supervisor

Competency Requirements:

  • Experience in Hydrovac operations is preferred but not required as a condition of employment
  • Valid Class A, able to acquire HAZMAT and Tanker Endorsements
  • Reading comprehension and writing skills
  • The ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Must have an active telephone and the ability to be on 24 hour call


Physical Job Demands:

  • Ability to work flexible work schedule, including long and/or irregular hours and nights and weekends
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when applicable
  • Required to travel to job sites for a week or more at a time in a designated area
  • Must have efficient eye-hand coordination. Must have good depth perception, peripheral vision, ability to see and differentiate colors, and a minimum of average hearing
  • This job will require occasional bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and reaching
  • Must be able to perform physical labor involving frequent lifting (up to 75lbs.), carrying, bending, and shoveling
  • Job may include stand/walk 6 - 8 hrs., sitting 6 - 8 hrs., driving 1 - 4 hours
  • Work environment with chemicals, fumes/gasses, noxious odors, heights, noise, radiation, and exposure to weather conditions such as cold, rain/dampness, heat/humidity, and wind
  • Repetitive motions of simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, finger dexterity, foot movement

Instrument Planner

Petroplan is currently seeking Instrument Planners for ongoing contract positions with one of our clients with petrochemical operations in Port Arthur, Texas. The Instrument Planner will report to the Instrument Maintenance Team Leader to facilitate all instrumentation work process activities related to ongoing maintenance and commissioning activities.
Duties:

  • Liases with Maintenance, Engineering, and Commissioning Team Leads to coordinate I&E work requests
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with other members of the I&E department to ensure I&E jobs are closed
  • Ensures that correct parts/equipment are requisitioned in order for activities to be completed
  • Plays a key role in scheduling and planning ongoing/routine maintenance activities
  • Assists with planning/scheduling for major maintenance, commissioning, and potential turnaround activities


Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of experience as a Planner/Scheduler in the E&I field required
  • Chemical Industry experience required
  • Commissioning of a petrochemical facility preferred
  • Working knowledge of SAP (equipment ordering/stock monitoring etc.)

Mechanical Team Lead

Petroplan is seeking a Mechanical Lead to maintain the mechanical equipment (static and rotating) of a commercial gas-to-liquids plant to the required standards, ensuring that predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance of production and infrastructure systems and equipment is performed in an efficient and safe manner.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical contract resources to schedule, plan and execute all site maintenance in coordination with Operations and in compliance with JuniperSP HSE procedures, relevant safety and environmental, legal and ethical rules.
  • Direct activities of maintenance in support of plant operations.
  • Develop relationships with local contractors and specialists to support the maintenance of the plant.
  • Ensure a cost-effective repair of process equipment, valves, actuators, motors and pumps with in-house or local resources.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on maintenance performance as required by Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain records and reports, including Process Safety Management (PSM) records.
  • Create maintenance procedures to include predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance.
  • Train staff to promptly respond to plant breakdowns and to quickly diagnose faults and commence repair in conjunction with Operations.
  • Able to perform task wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: respirators, protective clothing, face mask, goggles, boots etc.
  • Perform those tests and measurements necessary to determine asset integrity and asset
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Theses activates include but not limited to solving operational, maintenance, and reliability problems, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and/or replacements of equipment
  • Maintains both regulatory and non-regulatory maintenance records. Performs work reports/updates via our CMMS database
  • Interfaces with supervisor, operations, and engineering, or other departments as needed to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance and facility operation. This is accomplished via feedback on work performed
  • Provides support for work planning and scheduling
  • Other duties assigned.


Requirements:

  • Minimum five-ten years' experience in maintenance field in a gas, chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Knowledge/skill in respect to CMMS tools and their development and application
  • Must be prepared to work the extended hours as necessary and to participate in a call-in process.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a team of third-party technicians.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical integrity requirements outlined in process safety management standards.
  • A proven track record of successful day to day maintenance as well as shutdown/turnaround
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

  • Experience in development well planning and execution (including high angle /horizontal wells).
  • Experience in Waterflood expected, EOR would be a plus
  • Experience in reserves calculation and general reservoir Engineering reporting.
  • Some operational experience (production, well testing, stimulation etc)
  • Middle East experience would be considered a plus but not essential.

Experience and skills

Detail knowledge of International, state and local regulations pertaining to Port Operations, logistics and fully familiar with International maritime conventions such as SOLAS, MARPOL, STCW etc. Detail knowledge of the management of large skills port cargo operations including port rules, regulations, policies and procedures pertaining to operations and activities. Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of work in a port operations area.
