Global Key Accounts & Business Support Coordinator - Houston

Petroplan USA is hiring a Business Support Coordinator to work in our Houston office. This role will provide administrative, research and business support to the VP Global Key Accounts as well as providing business support to the Houston office. The key purpose of this role is to support the VP Global Key Accounts with planning and driving the growth of Petroplan's global key client accounts.

The role will include:

  • Work with the VP Global Key Accounts to write the annual strategy presentation and plans for following year
  • Assisting with bids and tender information in a timely manner
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance management of all global key accounts
  • Writing ad hoc presentations on key client accounts for delivery at Board meetings (by the VP)
  • Preparing reports for each Executive & Business Review meeting
  • Arrange and oversee improvements, repairs, and maintenance of both the Houston and Denver office facilities
  • Main point of contact for office IT issues and needs
  • Administrative support to Regional Manager USA and Commercial Manager if required

You will have the following key skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite knowledge (Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong Content writing, presentation writing skills, research skills
  • Project Management and Data Analysis skills
  • Numerate and first class attention to detail, both in writing and numerically
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have excellent data manipulation and analytical skills; being able to work with large amounts of data and provide meaningful conclusions from analysis of data.

The Opportunity

Our Senior Recruitment Consultant/Account Manager (Newfoundland and Labrador) will develop our existing client relationships and will create an initial client base from which to generate vacancies and placements in accordance with the budget set. The individual will be responsible for the overall growth, development and profitability of the region along with maximising Petroplan's profile and brand across Eastern Canada.

You will do this by developing existing and new relationships to leverage recruitment opportunities for Petroplan, and also delivering on the roles that are released by finding the best candidates.

Petroplan are looking for a HR Administrator to join a very busy HR team based in Guildford. The position will report into the Global HR Manager and will provide administrative support for our UK and other international offices. This is a perfect role for someone who wants to start a career in HR, there will be exposure to a variety of HR processes which this person can being very involved in.
You will have responsibility for:

  • Producing all standard correspondence for employees
  • Ensuring the HR system is up to date and accurate at all times
  • Recording staff sickness
  • Assisting with on-boarding and off-boarding of employees
  • Supporting the HR Manager in organising training courses
  • Drafting company-wide communication documents
  • Manage the HR email account
  • Responding to reference requests for past employees.

Key attributes - you will:

  • have some experience in an administrative role
  • have an excellent eye for detail, good proof reading skills and presentation and overall high work standards
  • have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise effectively

To maintain, manage and grow several of Petroplan's existing key client relationships/accounts, develop existing and additional relationships to leverage GP growth through recruitment opportunities and other possible customer solutions which respond to customer needs; seek and suggest possible customer solutions, ensuring authorisation where necessary, to further grow the client relationship, whilst serving as the interface between Petroplan business units, and the client. Obtain an in depth understanding of the client's people/resource strategy, their resource requirements, plan how to meet these demands in accordance with client deadlines and generate increased business activity and gross profit as a result.


  • Experienced Account Manager with proven experience of sales delivery in a results-focused environment, within the oil and gas sector
  • Have strong experience in recruitment (minimum 5 years), with a proven track record in billing and delivery against KPIs
  • Be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the financial drivers of a business to enable delivery of improvement in gross profit against each client
  • A strong background in client development including an in-depth understanding of how to build relationships with clients.
  • Be able to demonstrate good experience in developing and maintaining client and candidate relationships, including with passive candidates
  • Have a committed, keen and hardworking attitude; be able to organise yourself and deliver results
