Position: Drilling Supervisor/ Company man

Job type: 14/14 rotation

Location: North Dakota

Petroplan is currently working with a large E&P business who require an additional Drilling Supervisor for their operations in North Dakota.

In this position, you will provide technical assistance and management for all the simultaneous operations on the pad. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Working with the operations staff to collect and maintain required EHS data
  • Ensure drill-string inspection schedules are followed and maintain log of footage between inspections or repairs. Ensure have the ability to segregate and track rental string to insure alternate open hole vs cased hole exposure.
  • Providing support to the investigation of Company violations of a regulatory nature, including field investigations

You must have at least 15 years of experience, including 8 years' of recent experience working as a Drilling Supervisor/Company on an unconventional project.

Position: Completion Engineer

Location: Midland

Petroplan is currently working with a private E&P business who are in the process of increasing their engineering team in their Midland base. Due to this continued growth, a need has arisen within the Engineering team to add a highly experienced Completion Engineer to their Permian operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming unconventional projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the Engineering Manager and act as the focal point for completions engineering activity. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Preparing operational plans for planned wells and liaising with other departments when required
  • Travel to the field is required as and when needed
  • Deal with third party vendors with a strong focus on cost and performance

You must have at least 10 years of experience, including 6 years' experience in oil and gas operations working as a Completion Engineer. Experience working in the Permian is preferred and must hold at least a Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.

Senior Drilling Supervisir

Title: Senior Drilling Supervisor
Location: West Africa
Day rate: $1700 to $1800 per day

We are currently working with an international E&P business. A need has arisen within the business to add an experienced Senior Drilling Supervisor.
The Senior Drilling Supervisor (SDSV) will be the senior rig site representative onsite, the vast majority of the rig site work is conducted by third party personnel. The SDSV must be adept at managing and driving performance through the contractor personnel.

Some Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

Onshore:
* Assist with preparation of the Drilling Program with the objective of performance enhancement particularly maximizing top-hole dual activity performance.
Offshore:
* Lead and priorities daily on-site activities to ensure operations are carried out as per the governing programme, safely, efficiently and without harm to people or the environment.
Communication & Reporting:
* Manage and coordinate weekly HSE meeting/call. To include as a minimum: Review of incidents, reports, findings; Review of current rig safety initiatives; Tracking against contractor & company HSE plans; Campaign Action Register (CAR) review; Environmental / Waste Management; Safety Leadership Recognition.

Person Specification:

Education/ Qualifications:
* Demonstrated mastery of Well Control Operations including current accredited certificate of sub-sea well control competency (IWCF).
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
* Good written and oral command of the English Language.
* Tropical BOSIET & HUET certification.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* 20 years oil field, drilling operations experience.
* At least 10 years deepwater experience including recent West Africa drillship projects.
* Minimum of 8 years in DSV role with an operator & 5 years as SDSV.
* Recent experience with DP3, dual activity 6th gen. drillship operations.
* Positive attitude and high energy individual, self-motivated to deliver top quartile performance (operational & HSE).
* Team player who has a can-do attitude.
* Strong aptitude for problem solving.
* Proven experience leading operational rig teams offshore, preferably in remote international locations.
* Organised, disciplined, energetic and structured worker with well-developed interpersonal skills
