Compensation and Benefits Specialist

  • The Compensation and Benefits Specialist is responsible for generating Compensation related reports, new recruitment salary benchmarks, contractor day rate calculations and End of Service settlements.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate HR related data in Oracle and assisting with the monthly payroll for both Employees and Contractors.


Key Result Areas

  • Responsible for generating all Compensation and Benefits reports for the HR department and Department Managers. These reports include, but are not limited to: Sick Leave, Vacation Reports, Allowance Reports, Monthly Business Reports (MBR), Demographic Reports, Overtime Reports, Long Service Reports, Quarterly Management Reports and Corporate Governance Reports.
  • Responsible for the data entry of timely and accurate Compensation and Benefits data in Oracle and various HR systems. Ensure all elements comply with company policy.
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Organisational Structure and Position Hierarchy in the HR system.
  • Prepare new recruitment Compensation benchmarks (both Employees and Day Rate Contractors) in line with market data and the Company strategy.
  • Prepare End of Service Benefit calculations and statements. Coordinate with Finance and other concerned departments. Ensure final settlement payments are made to employee after recovery of outstanding loans and required exit formalities. Transfer payments to the banks in the case of Salary Transfer Letters. Coordinate with Finance and the HR Executive Assistant to ensure a seamless process in line with company policy.
  • Assist with the processing of the monthly payroll for both Staff employees and Contractors accurately and in line with company policies and procedures, including loading of reimbursements and deductions to employee salaries. As well as generate payroll reports.
  • Oversee the timely entry of absences into Oracle to support payroll processing. Ensure absences entered into Oracle comply to company policy. Ensure the required supporting documents are received and filed appropriately.
  • Manage the enrolment and cancellation of employees and dependents medical and life insurance coverage and actively participate in the annual



Qualifications
Human Resources Degree or relevant work experience.
5 years plus HR or Compensation and benefit experience.
Working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably Oracle.

Workday Specialist

Petroplan are looking to recruit and excellent Workday Specialist to work for a major Oil and Gas client in the South East of England.

This will be a long term contract to start ASAP.

Ideally you will be a Project Manager with HR systems knowledge who has worked on a global HR system implementation.

Candidates should have experience with implementing a HR system to multiple countries.

  • Responsible for gathering data and information regarding in-country processes, procedures and FAQs
  • Support and drive as required transition related activities for the countries
  • Provide support on transition activities during the Service Rehearsal testing
  • Work with the countries and HR Services to determine readiness for handover to HR Services
  • Responsible for guiding countries through implementation, Go-Live and post Go-Live until the transition to HR Services is complete
  • Managing countries acceptance and handover after implementation and sustainability
  • Support completion of run book for handover of each country
  • Provide checklists and acceptance criteria for handover
  • Progress tracking on transition and handover
  • Escalate cluster RAID items to Workstream Lead
  • To execute the transition plan and contribute to the successful execution of the global Workday Services Programme implementation.

  • Country Engagement
  • Transition Plan Delivery
  • RAID item escalation
  • Experience of implementing Workday across an organisation with a good knowledge of the Workday suite of products - other HRIS experience will be considered
  • Experience and knowledge of project management methodology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong English writing skills
  • Experience of interacting with stakeholders at all levels; ability to understand the audience and tailor the level of interaction accordingly
  • Experience of dealing with multiple countries and cultures
  • Experience of HR systems
  • Knowledge of HR systems and processes within a large, complex, multi-national organisation

Sr. Compensation Analyst

Petroplan is currently recruiting on behalf of a well known Oil & Gas company in the Houston area in need of a Senior Compensation Analyst to join their team. This is a direct hire position and competitive compensation. Prospective candidates will be responsible for assisting with the development and implementation of compensation programs for the organization. Along with conducting market analysis to research trends and compensation initiatives in the energy sector and provide recommendations/solutions as well as administrator systems that support these programs.
Job Duties:

  • Participant in both formal and informal compensation surveys, and analyze data from survey sources to determine competitiveness both internally and externally
  • Research and assess market prevalence and trends regarding variable pay program designs and targets
  • Demonstrate understanding of the requirements/data elements to create reports which streamline and support compensation programs
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for internal controls.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance, HR or related Degree)
  • 5-7 years of previous experience as compensation analyst
  • Knowledge of Long Term Incentives
  • Knowledge of different HR Databases (Cognos, HRIS etc.)
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel and familiar using MS Access.
