  • Troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble and perform visual inspection of electro-mechanical assemblies and analyzer equipment
  • Instrument metal tubing cutting, bending, and fitting in a system
  • System assembly and testing - electrical continuity and leak tests
  • Provide excellent customer service


Elec/Mech Technician Qualifications

  • 3 years of electrical and mechanical experience
  • Ability to read engineered drawings
  • Solid understanding of instrumentation principals

Mechanical Team Lead

Petroplan is seeking a Mechanical Lead to maintain the mechanical equipment (static and rotating) of a commercial gas-to-liquids plant to the required standards, ensuring that predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance of production and infrastructure systems and equipment is performed in an efficient and safe manner.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical contract resources to schedule, plan and execute all site maintenance in coordination with Operations and in compliance with JuniperSP HSE procedures, relevant safety and environmental, legal and ethical rules.
  • Direct activities of maintenance in support of plant operations.
  • Develop relationships with local contractors and specialists to support the maintenance of the plant.
  • Ensure a cost-effective repair of process equipment, valves, actuators, motors and pumps with in-house or local resources.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on maintenance performance as required by Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain records and reports, including Process Safety Management (PSM) records.
  • Create maintenance procedures to include predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance.
  • Train staff to promptly respond to plant breakdowns and to quickly diagnose faults and commence repair in conjunction with Operations.
  • Able to perform task wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: respirators, protective clothing, face mask, goggles, boots etc.
  • Perform those tests and measurements necessary to determine asset integrity and asset
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Theses activates include but not limited to solving operational, maintenance, and reliability problems, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and/or replacements of equipment
  • Maintains both regulatory and non-regulatory maintenance records. Performs work reports/updates via our CMMS database
  • Interfaces with supervisor, operations, and engineering, or other departments as needed to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance and facility operation. This is accomplished via feedback on work performed
  • Provides support for work planning and scheduling
  • Other duties assigned.


Requirements:

  • Minimum five-ten years' experience in maintenance field in a gas, chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Knowledge/skill in respect to CMMS tools and their development and application
  • Must be prepared to work the extended hours as necessary and to participate in a call-in process.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a team of third-party technicians.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical integrity requirements outlined in process safety management standards.
  • A proven track record of successful day to day maintenance as well as shutdown/turnaround
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

This position is a year long contract and will be located in Kenedy, TX. Prospective candidates will be responsible for maintenance and repair of measurement station, and associated equipment including and not limited to EFM (Electronic Flow Meters), meter tubes, composite samplers, radio communications, PD meters, Coriolis meters, and auxiliary pressure transmitters. Also, candidates will be responsible for scheduling and maintaining various types of measurements equipment.

Our client, a leading Midstream Oil & Gas organization is looking to add a Reliability Engineer to their team. This is a 1 year independent contract based in downtown Edmonton.

Within the Liquid Pipelines Unit, this individual will:

  • Identify and support the implementation of predictive technology, evaluate data. Develop equipment maintenance plans.
  • Develop preventive maintenance procedures to provide effective and efficient solutions to improve reliability.
  • Participate in regulatory preventive maintenance system audits as deemed necessary by management.
  • Participate in the project management and engineering processes to ensure reliability concerns are addressed and supported.
  • Lead root cause failure analysis effort to determine failure modes.
  • Inspect new installations and equipment at vendor sites to identify and remedy possible reliability issues


Key Requirements

  • 2 - 4 years of reliability focused engineering experience within the Oil & Gas Industry
  • P.ENG or eligibility for certification
  • Post secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field of study
  • MS Office Proficiency
  • SAP knowledge & exposure is an asset

Construction Manager 28/28 Rotation


Reporting to the Project Delivery Manager the primary responsibility of the Construction Manager will be to ensure timely, safe and cost-effective execution of Capital Facilities and OPEX Projects for the Business Unit.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the field based construction team.
  • Work closely with and provide leadership and direction to the field based construction teams and associated contractors on site as required.
  • Provide construction focal point for the interface with operations, maintenance, HSE, SR's and all other departments' onsite.
  • Work closely with operations and production to manage OPEX project scopes of work from concept to completion as required.
  • Work closely with the project manager(s) to ensure construction plans are in place and are aligned with the overall execution plan,
  • Ensure adequate resources are in place to support the overall project plan and monitor this with project services and contractors on a weekly basis.
  • Attend operability and constructability reviews as required.
  • Promote and drive the involvement of construction in areas of technical design, schedule, preliminary execution planning, and cost estimating.
  • Provide process and management support to the construction teams as required.
  • Ensure delivery of project work scopes in accordance with the project execution plan.
  • Development and management of the contractual documentation required to facilitate construction works onsite through existing contractors or service providers be this through work orders, site instructions, contract change requests or purchase orders.
  • Drive consistency across the various operating centers with respect to project execution plans, project execution protocols and ensure consistency with respect to construction and engineering standards.
  • Provide facilities construction updates to the senior management team on a weekly basis.
  • Evaluation of sub-contractor capabilities and assisting as applicable in the evaluation of contractor proposals and bids.



  • Ensure quality assurance system is covered in work execution.
  • Develop or validate construction estimates for new implementation work scopes
  • Work closely with Project Service's to accurately monitor, validate and report construction progress (physical).
  • Provide technical support to operations during the construction and commissioning phases to assist with the technical handover of the facilities and related equipment.
  • Understand the authority and approvals levels delegated within the project (both technical and financial) and ensuring awareness within the field based team.
  • Understand the construction cost estimates (budget) and contracts signed for the project.
  • Validate all work orders prior to AFE owner approval.
  • Approve field construction cost estimates prior to AFE approval.
  • Attend Construction management progress and planning meetings
  • Demonstrate commitment to excellent HSE performance in all aspects of the work.



This position requires superior leadership, communication, organizational and management skills to lead and direct others to achieve project goals.

  • The successful candidate holds professional accreditation with a registered Engineering association
  • Formal project management training would be considered an asset
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction teams and construction projects
  • Demonstrated experience managing Brownfield Projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum 10 years oil and gas experience
  • Broad experience with sweet and sour gas/oil processing facilities and pipelines
  • Proficient with MS Office and project management software
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work with individuals from different nationalities


Potential candidates interested in the Construction Managers position MUST meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and experience
  • Experience working in Africa (preferable)
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Relevant work experience in Oil and Gas Upstream Industry

The Project Engineer - Piping is responsible for the day to day management, coordination/facilitation and follow up of delegated modifications/projects

Responsibilities

  • Management of projects through the phase's initiation, study, engineering, procurement up to hand over of installation packages to Construction Department. Further: be contact person during installation/construction period (changes/clarifications/ variations etc), commissioning, as-build and close out.
  • Ensure the work is done in accordance with HSE and the Joint Venture procedural and technical requirements
  • Coordinate with Planning and Cost Control to ensure that an integrated cost and scheduling system is implemented, reviewed and followed up for every project.
  • Ensure that all approvals for expenditure have been obtained.
  • Ensure variations are processed and approved according to procedures
  • Assist in development of annual capital budget
  • Initiate and prepare proposals for modifications/projects
  • Monitor monthly performance and project budget.
  • Ensure that appropriate project assurance steps are conducted throughout the project life cycle.
  • Ensure that technical integrity/quality is achieved in accordance with JV targets.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement of project execution process
  • For assigned projects, be the single contact vs the Engineering & Procurement (E&P) Contractor's project engineer and the Construction Team
  • Facilitate communication between E & P contractor, Construction Team and Operations (OPS) technical resources
  • Ensure that the Change Process (MOC) is being followed,
  • Prepare and present projects to the budget owner and/or the OPS Management.
  • Anticipate problems before they become critical.
  • Approve vendor invoices in accordance with Procurement guidelines and authorization.
  • Manage Project Information through Document Control and MOC Procedures.
  • Ensure all engineering (document reviews, bid summaries, queries etc) is issued to the appropriate groups and authorities for comments and approval in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that projects are appropriately closed-out
  • Project engineer reports to the Engineering Team Leader

Education:

Engineering degree in Piping or Mechanical discipline

Experience:

  • The post-holder shall be degree qualified in engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a discipline engineer in the gas / oil industry
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in project engineering and execution
  • A track record in HSE Leadership, commitment and delivery is essential
  • English speaking, knowledge of French would be an advantage.
  • Team player committed to building good working relationships.

Skills:

  • Leadership and commitment to excellence in HSE performance
  • Working Knowledge of the standards, design, construction, operation and maintenance for the systems and equipment used in the industry.
  • Project and operations planning principles and systems

My client is a global manufacturer and servicer of analytical instrumentation and equipment that are utilized in a wide variety of industries including, but not limited to petrochemical, refinery, environmental, food & beverage, and pharmaceutical. They are currently looking to bring on board a well-versed Field Service Engineer with experience in this space. I have listed the following responsibilities and requirements for this role. Job Description:

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, both in-house, as well as in the field
