Development Engineer - Automotive Production Company - Berkshire, UK

Our client, an Automotive Production Company, are currently looking to hire an experienced Development Engineer to join an expanding team. The company deals with fuels and lubricants technology centres around the world.

 

Responsibilities:

  • To develop new fuels for various engines, including prototype/pre-production engines, to improve fuel economy
  • Develop and share expertise to help with the continuous improvement within the Development Team
  • Design and implement new test programs

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Mechatronics or related technical discipline
  • Preferred experience on diesel engines
  • Calibration / validation engineering
  • Experience of fuel or lubricant development, automotive engineering development and product research and technology
  • A Valid UK Work Permit or Passport

Our client is a leading, US headquartered, oil and gas equipment manufacturer who is looking to expand their engineering team by bringing on an experienced Product Engineer.

Product Engineer Job Description:

  • Key responsibilities for this position would include: the overall designing, drafting and 3D modeling of products.
  • Performing tolerance analysis and the ability to create and revise parts/drawings.
  • Leading the material analysis process through specialized material and lab test knowledge.

Product Engineer Job Requirements:

  • Must have no more than 3 years' of experience in design or metallurgy
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Must have at least a Bachelors' Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Downhole Mechanical Technician

I am currently recruiting for multiple roles within a large Oil and Gas Organization located in the Houston, TX area. This company is looking for a well versed Electrical-Mechanical Technician with experience working on downhole tools, equipment, and technologies. The following outlines some of the core duties and responsibilities of this role.

  • Perform maintenance and repair of downhole tools, which could include MWD, LWD and various other tools
  • Other duties would include calibration and inspection of these tools and testing of various components
  • This individual would need to have a strong mechanical & electrical aptitude with preferred experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble downhole tools
  • Perform QA/QC work as necessary
  • Ability to run a forklift and an overhead crane
  • Able to stand for long periods of time and work long shift, with potentials for weekends.
  • Various other task as directed

Reliability Engineer

Overview;

  • Petroplan are seeking an experienced Maintenance / Reliability Engineer for a major petro-chem facility located in Louisiana, US.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the client operations are compliant with company and regulatory inspection requirements. Engineer is also responsible for establishing and support activities/programs aimed at ensuring the client achieves availability targets.
  • This position will establish and coordinate the reliability centered maintenance and risk based inspection management systems.
  • This position will act as the technical steward for all primary and ancillary facility processes, equipment (fixed and rotating) and metallurgy.
  • This position will provide leadership and discipline expertise to less experienced engineering, maintenance, and operations staff.


Desired Skills / Qualifications:

  • Graduate with a BS in Engineering (Mechanical Discipline preferred) required.
  • 6 years in the petrochemical industry of which at least 2 years of experience in a similar position of responsibility. Expertise in an operating LNG Liquefaction or similar (cryogenic) facilities.
  • Gas turbines experience required.
  • Application experience of reliability management systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, analyze and resolve problems independent of vendors and superiors and have knowledge in theory, design, process control, instrumentation, safeguarding systems, vibration and noise control.
  • Possesses good oral and written communication skills. Able to work with a culturally diverse group of technical individuals whose skills cover the range required to engineer, operate and maintain the LNG receiving terminal.
  • Basic computer skills including project management, database, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing skills, and Computer Aided Design (AutoCAD).
  • Possesses good planning and organization shills and meets work deadlines.
