Process Control Engineer

Primary Purpose:
The Process Control Engineer is responsible for providing engineering expertise in order to maximize the plant production, efficiency, safety and reliability. Provide timely and pro-active process control services related to the LNG complex, including control and safeguarding performance, monitoring and testing and process optimizations.
This position is located in Hackberry, Louisiana. Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) is required.
Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Front line panel operator problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Coordinate/facilitate process control and safeguarding studies as required for minor capital projects and plant changes (MOCs).
  • Promote and drive changes that contribute to increased plant reliability, efficiency and increased production
  • Support implementation and maintenance of higher technologies in the plant; such as advanced process control, compressor controls, operator training simulator, operational data system
  • Leads and/or participates in incident investigations as a subject matter expert. Uses RCA type investigative tools to determine real causes of incidents. Defines effective actions in order to prevent recurrence.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Experience:

  • Minimum of ten years plant engineering experience in LNG terminal and/or petrochemical/gas; Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred.
  • Broad experience with DCS controls, safeguarding systems, PLCs.
  • High level of HSSE knowledge.

  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders that ranges from 4 ft to 200 ft.
  • Must be able to lift equipment needed to perform work.
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment such as safety harness, respirator and other protective equipment as needed to perform job.
  • Must be willing to be on call, work overtime as required and handle emergency response responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project Site Execution
  • Establish meeting cadence per project phase (Construction, Completions, Commissioning)
  • Progressively review turnover materials on behalf of C&C and/or Operations
  • Review walkdown packages prepared by Construction
  • Liaise with Contractor(s) to become acquainted with any additional CMS systems that are in use on the Project
  • Deliver post rollout CMS training to site based users
  • Act as site based CMS administrator
  • Manage ad-hoc checksheet/exhibit allocation or removal
  • Monitor and adjust preservation tasks as required
  • Manage tasks for field execution and assist Leads with work allocation (check-out/check-in)
  • Review and approve newly submitted punches in CMS (including categorization)
  • User account management (including requests to C&C central for additional users, if in excess of forecasted license quantity)
  • Upload Project Schedule data to the CMS and export progress data for upload to the schedule
  • Produce daily reports and provide data exports for weekly and monthly stewardship
  • Maintain database content to ensure that all engineering/scope changes are captured
  • Import third party data as required (eg. progress data from contractor, construction redlines, etc.)
  • Monitor any API data connections (eg. Document Management System-eB)
  • Facilitate the tablet management program
  • Facilitate the HCCC program
  • Start-up support Phase
  • Provide CMS support to RFO Start-Up/Operations team as required
  • Work with Data Management Stewardship Coordinator to facilitate data migration



QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Trade / Engineering degree or equivalent experience in Project Turnover, Quality Assurance and Construction and Commissioning
  • Proficient understanding of front end database use and back end structure and development
  • Minimum 6 Years of direct relevant experience in Project Completions and Turnover
  • Must have minimum 3 years of CMS experience
  • Fully conversant with relevant engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of project execution, engineering, construction, completions & commissioning practices
  • Exposure to major oil companies practices, processes, and expectations with respect to systems completion, preservation, C&C, and start-up operations

Commercial Scheduler (LNG)

Primary Purpose:
The Commercial Scheduler will work closely with the Commercial, Operations, Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure the effective scheduling of feed gas supply, LNG vessels, as well as the operational management of LNG and heavy hydrocarbon inventory accounts (both at the physical and customer account levels). The Commercial Scheduler will also ensure that the value and risk with respect to the Liquefaction & Regasification Tolling Agreements (LRTAs) between the Operator and each of its Customers is properly managed - in particular, this means ensuring that all Commercial activities are performed in alignment with the overall Company initiatives, and that all Customer rights under the LRTA are met in a non-discriminatory, rigorous, and comprehensive way while ensuring the rights of the Operator are protected and enforced. Furthermore, the Commercial Scheduler will continuously monitor the overall operating environment (i.e. terminal operations, LNG production and loading schedule, maintenance schedule, feed gas supply schedule, etc.) for potential issues, anticipate and analyze prospective solutions to issues as they arise, recommend corrective actions, and orchestrate the implementation of solutions. The Commercial Scheduler will serve as a key liaison between The Operator and its Customers. In this role, the incumbent will be required to make decisions regarding the scheduling of feed gas supply and LNG loadings.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Maintain working knowledge of the project agreements (i.e. the project tolling agreements, joint venture agreements, natural gas supply and transportation agreements) and the obligations contained therein.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with The Operator 's Customers and upstream pipelines. Facilitate effective communication of relevant information both informally and formally through proper channels.
  • Develop Annual Programs, Ninety Day Schedules, and feed gas supply plans for the fulfillment of The Operator 's obligations under the LRTA.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance daily production plans. Timely communicate daily feed gas supply requirements and any intraday changes thereof to the Customers. Confirm Customer feed gas nominations with the upstream interconnecting pipelines.
  • Coordinate with the Customers and terminal Operations the scheduling and loading of LNG vessels.
  • Perform monthly and daily energy balances.
  • Work across all functions within The Operator to develop and refine processes, procedures and plans to support commercial operations. Continually analyze established procedures, and recommend refinements to improve efficiency and fill gaps.
  • Ensure the integrity of all reports and records pertaining to Customer inventories, feed gas, heavy hydrocarbons and LNG movements.
  • Ensure that all commercial operations are conducted in a non-discriminatory manner and that The Operator maintains high standards of customer service and responsiveness.
  • Work closely with IT and Operations to enhance the information systems and interfaces that will be used to fulfill The Operator 's obligations under the LRTA.
  • Ensure that the Commercial Operations Management System (COMS) is regularly maintained, and all information therein is accurate and complete. Use the system to develop LNG production and loading plans.
  • Engage with Operations, pipeline operators and Customers to resolve transient upsets that may arise from time to time.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory and Treasury monthly reporting and invoice requirements, and ensure the accuracy of such reports and invoices.
  • Develop and maintain effective network of industry contacts to cultivate market knowledge.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in accounting, finance, engineering or physical sciences), or additional relevant work experience.

Experience:

  • At least five (5) years of successful work experience in a commercial, analytical or technical role, or some combination thereof, in the LNG or natural gas pipeline industry.

Required Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities:

  • High degree of independent judgment and ability to make timely decisions, without the benefit of perfect information and supervisory guidance.
  • Understanding of the key success factors of natural gas liquefaction, LNG regasification or natural gas pipeline operations.
  • Proven ability to interface with multiple disciplines, both within and external to the Company.
  • Ability to maintain the highest standard of integrity at all times and embrace The Operator 's culture standards (safety, integrity, teamwork, transparency, learning, caring, results)

  • A well-developed understanding of LNG terminal and pipeline operations.
  • Proven experience scheduling LNG cargo loadings (or unloading), planning feed gas supply (or regasified LNG sendout), managing inventory storage levels and vessel schedules.
  • Proven experience scheduling pipeline transportation capacity, and managing capacity release / asset management agreements.
  • Operative experience with Tieto's Energy Components transportation module (aka EC Transport)

  • Contributing to the setup, revision and maintenance of all division order information in SAP/PRA which includes understanding and manipulating unit tracts, bearer groups, and all other related system required data in SAP/PRA.
  • Responding to phone calls, emails and correspondence from mineral owners and working interest partners regarding title issues, inquiries and account questions.
  • Adhering to internal document management process to ensure correspondence, instruments, records, and all other data are filed, imaged and indexed appropriately for retrieval and analysis.

Field Operator

The operator is responsible for safe and reliable operation of wells and other field facilities

  • Ensure that all activities in area of control comply with Health Safety and Environment (HSE) standards
  • Participate actively and provide inputs to Operations Safety meetings, Desktop Emergency scenarios, Emergency Exercises.
  • Comply with control of work procedures to exercise control of bypass, Hazardous Energy Lockout-Tagout and Permit to Work
  • Perform Emergency functions by taking actions to avoid escalation of emergency events
  • Actively participate in company safety program
  • Coordinate and perform as instructed by control room and shift supervisor day to day operations e.g. well opening and closing, well conversion, choke changes, emergency operations.
  • Attend daily shift hand over meetings; give/ receive verbal and written handover.
  • Make 2 full rounds of all wells per shift, inspecting all equipment, log operating parameter; report and action deviations if any. Highlight any encroachments or security concerns.
  • Complete 2 patrolling rounds of field each shift covering wells, flow lines and inner road route. Check and record oily water separator level in day shift and inform supervisor when it is ready to pump out.
  • Reports and sand accumulation and get it cleaned so that access to all wells are clear and well pads are tidy. Direct contractor for shovel and manpower on wells/ areas needing attention. Record contractor work/ timesheets.
  • Ensure the field vehicles/ hydraulic pump truck is maintained properly and any issues addressed to maintenance. Check vehicles start of shift and report.
  • Update field changes and choke change reports.
  • Complete log sheets and maintain a daily log of all events occurring in the field.
  • Conduct first line troubleshooting in case of upsets/ trips and address the issues.
  • Prepare well and flow line for maintenance work as per procedure. This includes preparation, isolation, N2 purging, gas testing to ensure free of Hydrocarb gas and liquids.
  • Reinstate well/ flow line on completion of maintenance, ensuring it is tested satisfactorily prior to hand back to operations and pre-startup safety review is carried out.
    Maintain good housekeeping at well pad area.
  • Ensure control of work is strictly complied to operation procedures, Permit to Work, Method statements, Job safety analysis, Risk assessments etc. during maintenance activities.
  • Identify simultaneous operations and control work.
  • Initiate work request as require and coordinate maintenance activities in field.
  • Are Authority for field, ensure site readiness before issues of permits, ensure all control safe in place and carry out pre job safety meetings.
  • Regularly monitor maintenance and intervention work going on in the field and ensure compliance
  • Support new project works for tie-in activities, construction, commissioning, punch list generation etc.
  • Coordinate with well intervention team for well integrity checks, Data gathering, Risk base Inspection (RBI) team for flow line inspections and supervise contractors for this work.
  • Ensure safe operation of vacuum truck for pumping waste oil from oily water separator.
  • Perform special task as assigned by Shift Supervisor and Field Superintendent
  • Work closely with operators and senior operators daily, Plant Superintendent, Gas Control Station Supply Lead, GCS Systems Supervisors, LNG Terminal, Senior Pipeline Engineer and their staff, maintenance technicians and supervisors, Onshore supervisors of operations.



Skills/ Qualifications

  • High school graduate with technical qualification in oil and gas operations
  • Minimum 15 years in oil gas field experience.
  • Sound knowledge of well intervention activities and workovers
  • Sound knowledge of oilfield equipment, wells, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and control equipment in well operations.

Reliability Engineering Section Manager

Section Manager, Reliability Engineering, as a key member of Maintenance Division, is sharing the responsibility to ensure safe and reliable operation of the entire refinery. He/ She directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the provision of maintenance services which are assigned to Reliability Engineering Section as well as involves in the approval process for plant modifications and capital expenditures as required to improve operation efficiency.

1. Review and realign, if necessary, the Reliability Engineering Section organization chart and resources (budget, manpower, equipment) in connection with whole Maintenance Division in order to have effective coordination & implementation of maintenance programs & activities;

2. Review and/ or revise policies, standards/ procedures to achieve high performance

3. Guide, direct and motivate subordinates including the setting of performance standards and assessing training needs in association with the Human Resources Department and Training Department

4. Provide an efficient integrated auditing system aimed at ensuring adherence to company policy, as well as to continuously identify possible system and performance improvements.

5. Assist to set Division objectives, policies and strategic procedures and programs.

6. Assist to direct and manage the turnaround activities including planning, implementation.

7. Manage the quality and qualifications of outsourcing services, consultants and contractors which are under the direct management of Reliability Section disciplines.

8. Manage plant modifications and capital expenditures as required to improve operation efficiency.

9. Manage the section budget and has oversight over the budget control process

10. Other reasonable responsibilities assigned by Division Manager

Position: Facilities Engineer

Petroplan is currently working with a Publicly Traded E&P business who are currently in the process of increasing their head count. Due to this, a need has arisen within the operations team to add an experienced Facilities Engineer to assist with the ongoing and upcoming projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the Head of Operations and function as the lead for facilities engineering. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Liaises with geo-scientists/reservoir engineers/asset team members to develop details / objectives for projects
  • Develops project plans, budgets and schedules to manage capital projects
  • Performs economic evaluation; develops and reviews cost estimates / project economics; prepares AFEs
  • Prepares technical specifications, evaluates bids, and prepares integrated plan; specifies parameters for critical stages
  • Oversees all facilities modifications and provides on-site leadership during critical operations

You must have at least 8 years of experience, including 3 years' experience in oil and gas operations working as a facilities Engineer.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.
