This is your opportunity to join the Oil and Gas industry. Our clients are currently looking to bring on individuals with strong mechanical or electrical aptitude for Technician positions in the Santa Clarita area. Backgrounds working in the Oil and Gas industry are a plus, but our clients are open to experience within the telecommunication, electronics, and heavy equipment industry or related industries as well. Prior military experience in a similar role is a huge plus.

Roles will vary in pay, and shifts, but all will be based on a minimum of 40 hours, with most positions offering overtime hours. Typical duties could be the following:

  • Load, do pre-trip inspection and transport cable spool from shop to the field site location
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on tools
  • Loading materials
  • Forklift, pallet jack, and/or overhead crane operation
  • Utilizing various hand tools
  • Standing for multiple hours
  • Maintain mechanical performance of truck used in transportation to and from the field
  • Prepare paperwork to include DOT requirements: IFTA reports; billible and non billible hours and mileag
  • Handling materials that weigh 40 lbs
  • Exposed to heat, cold, rain, etc.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least one year of experience working in a similar environment
  • Able to stand for multiple hours
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Able to work weekends (either schedule shift or on call)
  • Must have clean MVR and DOT background

Our client, a leading Oil & Gas owner/operator organization is looking to add two Production Operators to their team for a 6 month contract.

This position will be based just outside of Carlsbad New Mexico, involving 12 hour days with a 7 on, 7 off rotation.

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for well operations, gas lifted wells, ESP's, three phase separation, gas compression, control board operation, pipeline operation, minor maintenance of valve, pumps and rotating equipment and assisting the other operators and craft personnel in their duties.
* Prepare for and perform maintenance, taking readings, doing rounds, issuing work permits, following procedures, initiating work requests, writing procedures, and interfacing with support groups.
* Proactively monitor well and equipment performance, take appropriate action to maximize production.
* Work with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.).
* Interfaces with Engineering for data gathering requests.
* Track test compression data.
* Conducts fluid levels with echo meter.

Key Requirements

Petroplan is seeking a Mechanical Lead to maintain the mechanical equipment (static and rotating) of a commercial gas-to-liquids plant to the required standards, ensuring that predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance of production and infrastructure systems and equipment is performed in an efficient and safe manner.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead the mechanical contract resources to schedule, plan and execute all site maintenance in coordination with Operations and in compliance with JuniperSP HSE procedures, relevant safety and environmental, legal and ethical rules.
  • Direct activities of maintenance in support of plant operations.
  • Develop relationships with local contractors and specialists to support the maintenance of the plant.
  • Ensure a cost-effective repair of process equipment, valves, actuators, motors and pumps with in-house or local resources.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports on maintenance performance as required by Maintenance Manager.
  • Maintain records and reports, including Process Safety Management (PSM) records.
  • Create maintenance procedures to include predictive, preventive, scheduled and corrective maintenance.
  • Train staff to promptly respond to plant breakdowns and to quickly diagnose faults and commence repair in conjunction with Operations.
  • Able to perform task wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: respirators, protective clothing, face mask, goggles, boots etc.
  • Perform those tests and measurements necessary to determine asset integrity and asset
  • Performs corrective and preventive maintenance activities. Theses activates include but not limited to solving operational, maintenance, and reliability problems, troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and/or replacements of equipment
  • Maintains both regulatory and non-regulatory maintenance records. Performs work reports/updates via our CMMS database
  • Interfaces with supervisor, operations, and engineering, or other departments as needed to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective maintenance and facility operation. This is accomplished via feedback on work performed
  • Provides support for work planning and scheduling
  • Other duties assigned.


Requirements:

  • Minimum five-ten years' experience in maintenance field in a gas, chemical or petrochemical environment.
  • Knowledge/skill in respect to CMMS tools and their development and application
  • Must be prepared to work the extended hours as necessary and to participate in a call-in process.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead a team of third-party technicians.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical integrity requirements outlined in process safety management standards.
  • A proven track record of successful day to day maintenance as well as shutdown/turnaround
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

About the role:

Our client is a major global oil and gas operator, they are seeking a CMMS Engineer to lead maintenance improvement studies across the UK Fuels Storage Terminals. This is to establish cost effective maintenance solutions that deliver compliance, technical assurance and reliability whilst maximising plant availability. Along with to develop and utilise the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) functionality in order to optimise the efficiency and effectiveness of planned maintenance activities at the Terminals.

Education:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or qualifications, demonstrated experience and training to an equivalent level.
  • Chartered/Incorporated Engineer, or working towards chartered or incorporated status, with a recognised professional body.
  • IT Skills Certification particularly in MS Applications.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Trained and experienced with Control of Work and Permit to Work systems, confined space entry and working at height.

Essential Experience:

  • Significant and demonstrable experience with CMMS ideally in Frontline, Maximo or SAP PM

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure compliance to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and company Values.
  • Ensure that all activities in area of control are in compliance with HSE standards, shift team is up to date in HSE and comply with the same.
  • Represent Plant Operations in Task risk and other risk assessments and reviews.
  • Initiate incident report in case of occurrence and support in investigation as required.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct Operations Safety meetings, Desktop Emergency scenarios and Emergency Exercises.
  • Take role of On scene Commander in response to Plant emergencies.
  • Manage and oversee operational behavioural systems such as Overrides & Inhibits, Isolations, Operational Risk Assessments, Locked Open and Closed valves.
  • Plan and carryout Emergency Shut Down and Emergency Depressurization function tests as per schedule.
  • Control plant operations, process within established safe operating envelopes
  • Enforce Plant operation within safe envelopes, monitor operations, alarms, and analyse upsets and trips. Report process excursions, upsets and trips with operating details. Ensure approval is in place before any deviations to standard operations.
  • Ensure gas re-injection, supply and gas quality are meet.
  • Conduct first line troubleshooting in case of plants upsets, trips. Escalates issues
  • Optimize operation of different machines to minimize fuel & electricity consumption and improve operating efficiency.
  • Coordinate with GCS control room for daily nominations, LNG cargo schedule and plans for appropriate balance of gas supply and demand.
  • Manage and control chemical inventory for Plant and Laboratory as per operation modes envisaged.
  • Coordinate with control room for condensate batch transfer.
  • Control work in process and control area ensuring all work are safe and in accordance with CLIENT standards.Control release of equipment, plant sections for maintenance work. Represent operations in planning meetings.
  • Review / approve ORACLE notifications prioritizing and work planning based impact to plant operations.
  • Review/approve process related method statements and participate in Risk Assessments.
  • Coordinate & execute the day-to-day operations and maintenance activities in Plant & Field.
  • Enforce strict compliance to Operational procedures, Method statements, Job safety analysis, Risk assessments etc. in controlling and executing maintenance activities.
  • Control work through the Permit to Work system so that all work activities are carried out in a safe manner. Manage simultaneous operations.
  • Document, audit and reporting functions.
  • Prepare various Operations reports including Daily Operations and Production reports, Weekly Gas availability, Monthly PSM reports, Monthly Emission report, Lab analysis report etc.
  • Assist with drafting, review and update of operations procedures and manuals, start-up/shut-down procedures, Isolation plans & procedures.

  • Conduct Plant Safety walkthrough, Permit to Work audits to ensure compliance to procedures.
  • Assist with drafting, review and update of Operational Procedures, manuals and Start-up & Commissioning of new facilities or modifications.
  • Ensure proper hand-over of information between shifts.

  • Manage the shift team through
  1. Motivate shift team, set objectives, monitor and appraise, coach, counsel team members.
  2. Assess competencies, identify gaps and plan development of team members.

  4. Lead Shift groups to ensure compliance to Procedures and maintaining a high HSE standard.

Manage Field & Plant operations and liaise with GCS Shift Supervisor for the required changes in operation modes (import/export).

Perform special tasks as assigned by Field Superintendent.

Knowledge, skills Experience and Job Related Competencies

Educational Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of Gas Plant experience with 3 years in a supervisory role.
Bachelor of Science / Bachelors of Technology or Bachelors of Degree of preferably in Chemical Engineering or equivalent relevant technical qualifications.
Experience Profile
Comprehensive understanding of gas plant design, controls, maintenance and operations.
Experience with distributed control systems, gas processing and gas turbine and compressor operations.

Competencies / Skills / Others
Strong verbal and written English skills, including the ability to draft concise operating instruction and procedures.
Computer literate-Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong leadership and supervisory skills .

OPERATIONS MANAGER

South Houston Area

Our client is a Houston manufacturer of laboratory equipment, test and measurement products who are looking to hire an Operations Manager for their South Houston location. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for development and growth with an International company.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategy discussions for new product development and provide input to support successful commercial launches.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment, collaborate and interfacing with other business functions.
  • Create and maintain a Continuous Improvement environment by implementing Lean Manufacturing Methodologies.
  • Weekly 5S goals and activity.
  • Assist Engineering, Finance, Shipping and Procurement for improve on time delivery (OTD).

Operations Manager Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree Engineering, Operations, or a related technical field.
  • 5 years of related experience, including large teams and volume production.
  • 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a must.
