Position: Owner Relations /Lease Analyst/Division Order Analyst

Job type: Contract, 12 months, Mond- Fri

Location: Houston

Petroplan is currently working with an expansion focused E&P business who are in the process of increasing their operations team in their Houston base and due to this continued growth, a need has arisen within the business to add an experienced Owner Relations analyst to their operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming unconventional projects.

In this position, you will be involved analysing and validating ownership, property and production information related to the core business processes. This includes review of all leases and related contracts captured in Quorum Land System. Key challenges will include:

  • Contributing to the setup, revision and maintenance of all division order information in SAP/PRA which includes understanding and manipulating unit tracts, bearer groups, and all other related system required data in SAP/PRA.
  • Responding to phone calls, emails and correspondence from mineral owners and working interest partners regarding title issues, inquiries and account questions.
  • Adhering to internal document management process to ensure correspondence, instruments, records, and all other data are filed, imaged and indexed appropriately for retrieval and analysis.
  • Contribute to and support lean practices in all aspects of the role as the company moves toward a distinctive lean culture.

You must have at least 5 years of experience, including experience in oil and gas operations, ideally within land operations. Experience working with PRA/SAP is preferred and preferably a Bachelor's degree.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.

Accountabilities

  • Management and co-ordination of proposal activities
  • High level of understanding of current client project requirements

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all administration duties related to filing/development/issue of proposals to client.
  • Prepare proposal inclusive all costs and related methodologies for submission to client and carry out internal documentation reviews.
  • Assist in administration of the initial stages of project prior to full formal handover of project to operations personnel.
  • Follow up on all technical / commercial / legal clarifications as required as part of the tender process.

Skills / Competencies / Behaviours

  • Capability to work on multiple projects at any given time and ability to handle pressure in terms of committing too and meeting deadlines
  • Capability to interface with all levels of company, clients and third party organisations

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience working with and generating proposals, oil and gas experience preferred

Lead Contracts Engineer

Job Purpose

To provide high level of understanding of legal and technical issues in order to resolve disputes and resolve complex commercial issues.
Responsible for high value commercial activities including the tendering procedures, change management, contract preparation, negotiation of terms and conditions and provide practical commercial solutions to any claims or disputes. Advise user departments in relation to contract process management to ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with the company contracting guidelines. Lead the Contract Commitment Team (CCT) in the preparation of sourcing strategy, tender board memos and post contract performance reviews throughout the contracts active lifecycle.

Job Requirements

  • Drilling contracts experience essential
  • Relevant Bachelor's degree required; Law Degree preferred.
  • Ideally with a post-graduate qualification in Contract Management or in a complementary area.
  • 10 years' contracts experience in oil and gas operations or similar industries.
  • Extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of tenders/contracts of small/medium/large scale projects with complexity and diversity.
  • Working experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably Oracle.
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of contract and legal terms.
  • Demonstrate a high level of commercial and technical knowledge.
  • Proficient in contractual correspondence, contract verbatim and report writing.
  • Good knowledge of contract law; knowledge of oil and gas contract terms and conditions a plus.
  • Firm negotiator and Customer service oriented.
  • Self-directed and highly motivated.
  • Ability to prioritise amongst various demands and working well under pressure.
  • Ability and willingness to effectively coach and develop less experienced team members.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written English communication skills.

Inspection Services Coordinator
Main Purpose of Role
* Processing of new applications and providing guidance to new and existing clients, ensuring compliance of internal policies, rules and local legislation.
* Ensure all processes are followed at all times as per Global Internal Guidelines whilst maintaining customer focus and a positive image of the client

Key Accountabilities
* Consolidate information provided by clients and understand fully inspection requirements
* Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts
* Makes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
* Work with management to predict and trends and tracking of client account metrics
* Coordinate projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
* Identifies opportunities to grow business with existing clients
* Collaborates with sales team to reach prospective clients
* Service multiple clients concurrently, often meeting deadlines
* Keep records of client transactions
* Timeliness and attention to detail of all requests from the client (Intercompany or direct) relating to supporting documentation.

* Full understanding of global inspection processes and procedures and solid understanding of all Country Instructions.
* Detection of training needs within New/Current Applications team to be addressed with Supervisor
* Performing any other appropriate functions assigned by the Inspection Services management.
* Ensure full compliance with the Company's Code of Integrity & Professional Conduct, and act in accordance with client Policies, and ensure others do so.
