PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist Senior Management in its administration of existing business and commercial activities associated with the production of hydrocarbons in South East Asia (Malay and Vietnam) Ensure compliance with commercial agreements of our UGSA, support resolution of disputed matters arising from existing commercial agreements, including negotiation and drafting of amendments. Develop in conjunction with Operations and Finance groups a production monitoring system which will support end of year UGSA annual gas statement billings.

Participate in co-operative efforts to update and streamline gas transportation operations. Support new business development initiatives and gas expansion opportunities in SE Asia. To that end conduct as required market assessment and analysis of gas supply/ demand fundamentals in Peninsular Malaysia and overseas to help support future commercialization of projects.

Manage customer relationships with respect to daily gas flows, gas scheduling and balancing; promote customer awareness to help manage Buyer, Joint Venture and other stake holder expectations. Assist Senior Management in the execution and administration of TML's crude oil marketing arrangements. As Commercial Specialist you will have a detailed working knowledge of gas management operations, contractual terms and nomination process'. You will maintain an awareness of the energy markets, keeping abreast of oil and gas policies and pricing. Develop appropriate analytical tools and process' to aid marketing decisions Assist Calgary Marketing in the preparation of the company's annual Forecast of the Economic Environment (FEE), including forecast pricing reviews.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • The jobholder ideally must have an honors degree in Business Studies from a University or institution recognized by the Malaysian Government or min. 5 years' experience of gas supply operations and/ or oil contracts supply and trading operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years in oil and gas business. Experience of Malaysian oil & gas operations, planning & budgeting, upstream contract administration is essential, including contract key elements such as take or pay, reserve and throughput nominations, gas balancing.
  • Familiarity and understanding of international oil and gas Production Sharing Contracts, Joint Venture Agreements, including a good understanding of supply-demand dynamics of the Malaysian gas business would be of an advantage.
  • Has a basic exposure to key elements of an oil marketing arrangement such as nominations and lifting procedures.
  • Understand basic economics with familiarity on terms such as discounted cash flow, present value and internal rate of return.
  • Proficient computer skills with modern day PC application packages (MS Office). Good communication skills, including oral and written reporting. Understand typical gas contracts, PSC and day to day gas management process. Self-starter with initiative and willingness to take on new duties and develop the companies S.E Asia business

Your primary role will be to support Unconventional Resources in all contractual issues. You will ensure contractor compliance with terms and conditions of contracts; prepare, review and monitor contract actions in SAP; work in coordination with Contracting and Law Departments when necessary and participate in the process of agreements' amendments, claims.

Minimum Requirements

  • As the successful candidate you will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration or equivalent level of education. Advanced degree is desirable. A procurement certification is desirable.
  • You will have a minimum of seven years' experience in the oil and gas industry, including at least two years in Contracts/Subcontract Management or Cost Estimation.
  • You must have an in-depth knowledge of contract terms and conditions for contractor compliance.
  • You will have experience working in a matrix environment and on cross-functional teams.
  • A knowledge in SAP or equivalent system is a must.
  • You will have extensive Major Capital Project Contracting Development and Management experience with higher level degree.
  • You will also have a thorough understanding of unconventional resource operations, technologies, related services, supply and product logistics, business drivers, cost drivers, and contract procurement.

Duties & Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

  • Ensure Unconventional Resource requirements are incorporated during the development of category strategies and plans by the Category Managers.
  • Work with different entities to procure Long Form Agreements and/or Amendments for oilfield services and drilling rigs.
  • Work with different entities to procure Short and/or Mid Form Agreements for oilfield services.
  • Work with others members of the Unconventional Resource Teams, others Divisions and Departments, to prepare financial studies that establish technical and financial for contract service and evaluation of alternatives.

Supply Chain Category Manager
We are seeking a Supply Chain Category Manager with experience of either Drilling Fluids, Rigs &/or Artificial List or Drilling & Completions to join our UR Supply Chain function.

Your primary role will be to implement the category management methodologies to support the UR operation. Through this role, you will play a central part in the development of category/sub-category demand forecasts, supply market analyses, and category management strategies. You will be responsible for implementing these strategies to maximize the total life cycle value obtained from the categories. In addition, you will lead supplier relationship management activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of demand forecasts and identify implications of such forecasts.
  • In coordination with the conventional Materials Supply category management organization you will develop category management strategies for drilling and completions categories and sub-categories, considering both the internal UR requirements and supply market conditions, to maximize the total life cycle value delivered to UR business users. You will develop category workbooks and procurement strategies to be implemented over the next ten years and present these strategies to key stakeholders and management. You will also ensure that category strategies comply with legal requirements and company policies, value assurance frameworks and business principles.
  • Prioritize strategic sourcing activities for the categories/sub-categories, and lead the execution of these activities (implementing the category strategies), including supply market engagement, preparation of RFP/RFX, evaluation of responses, negotiations, and development of strategic agreements.
  • Develop segmented supplier relationship engagement models for suppliers, monitor supplier/category performance, and engage with suppliers to improve performance.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with major contractors and suppliers at top management level, leveraging such relationships with relevant markets to provide current and insightful market intelligence.
  • Coordinate with UR business users, technical proponents, and other UR Supply Chain functions (such as tactical procurement and materials management) to ensure that the maximum value is obtained from the categories.
  • Coordinate with category managers in the conventional Materials Supply organization, to ensure alignment of category strategies at the corporate level and a unified approach to market for strategic categories while utilizing your extensive knowledge and experience to ensure that UR implements a cost-efficient and effective category management function.


Minimum Requirements

  • As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field and a Masters would be desirable.
  • You will have a minimum of 10 years of progressive field-based experience in the oil and gas industry with deep and extensive knowledge of either drilling fluids category management and commodities or drilling and completions category management and commodities.
  • You will have experience working within unconventional resources and possess sound knowledge hydraulic fracking and understanding of Drilling Fluids, coring, mud logging, etc.
  • You will also have knowledge of JD Edwards and SAP systems.

Role Overview

The Cost Analyst (CA) is accountable for providing cost control, analysis and management for the plant Shutdown at the Surmont SAGD facility. The position reports functionally to the Project Services Manager and is assigned to work within the Shutdown Management Team (SMT) at site. All duties will be performed in accordance with COP HSE policies and SPIRIT values.

The CA will utilize his/her expert knowledge of cost control functions related to the monitoring, tracking and forecasting Shutdown costs and budgets. The functions include analyzing and verifying the various contractors' cost reports against actual LEMS and baseline budgets, cash flows, manpower plans, histograms, and various quantity and progress curves. The CA will provide reporting to SMT of committed, incurred, invoiced and forecast cost evaluations.

This position interacts and coordinates between multiple stakeholders, including but not limited to Operations, Maintenance, Asset Integrity, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Contracts Administration, Procurement, Expediting, Transportation, and Logistics.

The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in using SAP for cost management and must have a proven track record of working on all phases of large scale, complex Oil & Gas facility shutdowns.

Responsibilities
? Monitor, update, control and forecast committed, incurred and invoiced costs. ? Track actual costs in SAP. ? Update and submit daily incurred cost reports. ? Prepare reconciliations, weekly and monthly reports, trends, forecast at completion estimates, variance analysis, manpower profiles, cash flows and project completion reports. ? Review and evaluate contractors' estimates and change requests and participate in change management and risk management reviews. ? Review contractor progress reports, manpower plans, and installed quantities/completed activities to ensure alignment with incurred and forecast cost analysis. ? Assist the Shutdown team in forecasting spend for accrual purposes. ? Validate and release all invoices related to site activities in a timely and efficient manner. ? Assist Finance in the creation and processing of journal entries.
? Work closely with cost estimating, planning/scheduling, risk management and functional leaders to develop integrated cost reports. ? Provide cost input to Shutdown benchmarking and provide related metrics such as rates of progress and manpower densities. ? Maintain document trail to facilitate internal audits of internal control systems. ? Prepare cost management sections of Shutdown documents and support the cost analysis of contractor bids. ? Support the Shutdown close-out process, as required. ? Other duties as required and directed by the Project Services Manager and the Shutdown Managers/Supervisors.

Mandatory Qualifications
? Degree or Technical Certificate, or equivalent work experience. ? Strong hands-on experience with Owner/Operator accounting practices and principles. ? Minimum 7 years oil and gas industry experience in a Cost Control/Cost analyst role. ? Minimum 5 years of site-based cost management experience. ? Minimum 3 years of site-based Shutdown cost management experience. ? Proficient in the use of SAP and MS Office suite. ? Legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

Additional Information ? This role is camp-based at the Surmont Oilsands site. ? The work schedule will be 14 days on - 12 hours per day / 14 days off. ? The work schedule could be adjusted to 16 days on - 12 hours per day / 12 days off during the Shutdown execution. ? Due to the criticality of the Shutdown execution, other shift plans might be implemented to ensure proper support is provided.

Prepares for and performs maintenance, taking readings, doing rounds, issuing work permits, following procedures, initiating work requests, writing procedures, and interfacing with support groups. Proactively monitors well and equipment performance, take appropriate action to maximize production. Works with support groups to optimize chemical pump rates based on production data (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.). Interfaces with Engineering for data gathering requests. Track test compression data. Conducts fluid levels with echo meter. Typically requires 3-5 years of experience. Intermediate level. Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support. General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department. Performs routine tasks. Able to solve problems and make basic decisions.
