Senior Tendering Specialist

Preparation of pre-qualifications and tenders in accordance with the Business Management System which includes the following:

  • Preliminary review of enquiry or invitation to tender document. Preparation of Decisions to Tender and advise clients of bid/no bid decision
  • Schedule briefing sessions with tender pursuit team and identify responsibilities and key dates. Collaborate with the tender pursuit team throughout the tender process within budget and in time for necessary approvals to be obtained
  • Prepare accurate and economic tender estimate in prescribed format and produce Business Risk Assessment if required
  • Set tender strategy with input from both regional and functional leads
  • Review documents from a commercial perspective and prepare commercial qualifications as required
  • Preparation of internal tender authorisation papers, presentations and documents
  • Coordinate clarification responses during bid evaluation process. Prepare and attend any bid clarification meetings.
  • Review final contract document in conjunction with contracts team and liaise with the client to implement any required amendments to achieve the best commercial position
  • Maintain appropriate records and data during the tender process to ensure a proper and efficient handover to project teams
  • Provide support and guidance to the Tendering / Associate Tendering Engineers and Tendering Administrators
  • Receive functional guidance, direction and advice from the Tendering Manager(s)


Skills:
Candidates should have proven experience in a tender/proposals role with a sound knowledge of how to review and commercially qualify contracts
Candidate must be commercially competent and have a proven ability to commercialise an offering

Lead Planning & Scheduling Specialist


Petroplan is currently recruiting an Lead Planning & Scheduling Specialist to join a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels.
The Lead Planning & Scheduling Specialist will be a subject matter expert (SME) and will provide guidance and support in all planning and scheduling aspects of capital spend. This role will report directly to Senior Leadership, supporting all company segments and business units. This role will collaborate with estimating and cost control resources across the company.?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures projects establish credible schedules appropriate for best practices based on scope, complexity, project development and execution, and would include critical path evaluations, base-lining, float and contingency analysis, resources loading, productivity, progress tracking, deviations and corrective actions, evaluation of schedule basis completeness, and connectivity to contractor or turnaround (TA) plans or schedules
  • Collaborate with and guiding other planning and scheduling resources across the company on policies, procedure, and workflow
  • Aids segments and individual project teams by supporting: securing the right resource(s) for scheduling/planning efforts; mentoring, coaching and training those less experienced or knowledgeable project professionals; interface with leadership when appropriate for insight on issues, concerns, or instill confidence on planning/scheduling efforts; auditing schedules or plans in such a manner to influence or direct credibility, control, and success
  • Identify planning/scheduling metrics, and implement roll out of metrics for reporting across all segments, in a systemic manner, helping and not overwhelming those responsible for reporting, and ensuring training with understanding
  • Lead and facilitate interactive planning sessions (IPS) across company at various stages of project development and execution to ensure alignment and success; this accountability could be leading and facilitating or ensuring a 3rd party is providing this support
  • Champion conducting lessons learned and continuous improvement sessions for planning and scheduling
  • Demonstrated experience with contractor planning and scheduling as well as owner's needs for planning and scheduling, and knowledge for merging these together for success of the project

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance or Accounting or related areas
  • Seven or more years of planning/scheduling project control experience with a strong background in planning (TA, project, and FEL and FEED efforts including decision making and risk management), schedule development, schedule monitoring, progressing and tracking, reporting
  • Project size experience, small and large efforts of planning and scheduling, <$5M to $100M
  • Project complexity, highly complex (with a simplicity in approach)
  • Project type, experience with planning and scheduling for infrastructure projects (buildings, power upgrades, etc.), refining or similar production improvement related project (debottleneck or expansion), enterprise wide migration projects (SAP enhancements, accounting migrations to new systems, and similar)
  • Demonstrated experience with contractor planning and scheduling as well as owner's needs for planning and scheduling, and knowledge for merging these together for success of the project
  • Experience with contractor scheduling to include best practices, and proven ability in recommending improvements when needed for project success
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and complete multiple tasks, collaborating with diverse teams
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Proficient, and able to train and coach others in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Projects project management application
  • Excellent communication skills, in both oral and written forms, with all levels of the organization including Executive Management, vendors and contractors
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and train others around planning and scheduling efforts

  • Collaborate with accounting and project directors to establish and document improved work breakdown hierarchy allowing functionality across all segments and alignment with asset allocation needs and project cost structures

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related areas

Required Skills:

We are looking for an experience Maintenance Specialist to support improvements in the Mobile Equipment area for both of our Mine sites. In this exciting opportunity you will be the central point of contact and will collaborate with operations and site's maintenance execution, planning, scheduling teams to identify opportunities to improve procedures and overall maintenance execution tasks in support of Mobile Equipment Availability targets.
You will use your expertise to:
