Petroplan is actively recruiting for well-known Oil & Gas company looking to add an experienced Topside Cost Control professional. Prospective candidates must have prior experience working on major topside projects. This position will be located in Houston, TX and is a 1 year contract on a day rate with possibility of extension. The standard working hours are 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on costs at various levels within the Topsides sub-area including by CTR, Engineering Work Package, Construction Work Package, and Contract.
  • Interface with Vendors and Scope Manager to ensure processes are followed for effective cost control.
  • Manage the Topsides Cost Control Dashboard; Aid in the development of a Cost Control System.
  • Develop Monthly Cost Reports for Senior Management that include Cost /Commitment/Cash status against Control Budget along with associate Forecast Curves.

Our client, a large Oil & Gas Organization is looking to add a Senior Project Engineer for a 1 year independent contract with the high possibility of long term extension for the right individual. Candidates have to be St John's Newfoundland locals.

As a senior team member, the Senior Project Engineer - Marine will provide oversight to multiple marine scopes to ensure the standards, processes and procedures established for the project are being followed. Working closely with the project services team, you will ensure change management process is followed in a timely manner. At points you may act as single point of contact on the organization's behalf for assigned scopes and you will continuously explores opportunities to improve safety and operational efficiency of marine activities for the project.

Some international travel may be required (to Europe or Texas) once every month or two to support the project; travel will be reimbursed as required.

Turnaround Track Lead

Responsibilities

  • Review and approve track for all TAR events
  • Engage with Superintendent/Supervisors/Cost Planners/Cost Engineers to gain alignment with Track Approvals
  • Engage with Contractor Timekeepers to drive timely and accurate allocation of time
  • Engage with Procurement to support proper acceptance of time per contract language
  • Run and maintain detailed track reporting outputs such as Unallocated Time, Full Data Extracts, TCAD Updates, and an overall Track Health Report
  • Support any needed data requests
  • Support additional cost control activities as needed such as Cost Reporting and Estimate Development


Experience and Job Requirements

  • 3 years of experience in refining, petrochemical, or utility plant work
  • Proficient in Track demonstrating 3 years of thorough experience in the program
  • Experience in SAP PM module
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office products
