Asset Information Management Coordinator

Our client, a large oil & gas organization is looking to add an Asset Information Management Coordinator to their team for a 5 - 6 month independent contract. Based in Calgary, Monday to Friday. 40 hours a week.

Position Summary


The AIM Coordinator will be responsible to provide asset information management services to the Operations and Maintenance Teams, Cross Functional teams and Management of change Teams throughout the life cycle of asset information with in the engineering data management systems (EDMS) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Point of contact for all AIM coordination support for designated area within the Projects team.
  • Point of contact with the stakeholders including CFT, Reliability, Major Project Group using good interpersonal, written and verbal communication
  • Prioritize and manage multiple assignments while meeting requirements of to be defined Service Level Agreements
  • Subject matter expert or super user of the of EDMS
  • Coordinates AIM action items to ensure completion as pertains to your scope.
  • Ensuring all vendor documentation for a purchase order has been received, all seed files for content that is no longer applicable is cancelled and Reliability signs off for the completion of the PO (from a documentation standpoint)
  • Performs visual audits as well as interpreting EDMS Audits on data to identify quality and completeness. Ensure that the current vendor process meets the organization's standards and all requirements are being met
  • Consulted as required to provide feedback /continuous improvement on applications and systems that influence effective management of asset information.
  • Consulted as required on the development of work instructions or QRG's for the department
  • Provide input and support as needed for corporate initiatives
  • Coordinate work with team lead to support any Major Project/MOC/EP/Turnover team for any efforts as required for turnover of engineering deliverables including Non Engineering Records (NER) into the EDMS per AIM Standards.
  • Assist in preparing AIM Key Performance Indicator's (KPI) or stewardship. Reporting on the progress of closed and outstanding PO's
  • Responsible to perform AIM activities to close out projects as per the defined work instructions
  • Coordinating document submissions between external contractors and vendors
  • Request /approve all Controlled Engineering Records in Livelink (CERLL) workflows related to drawings & revisions
  • Responsible to ensure all required documents are tag cross referenced per the organization's standards
  • Distribute documentation to applicable recipients per AIM processes
  • Upload Controlled Engineering Records (CER) & NER to the correct project/MOC
  • Process technical change management documents (Request For Information, Field Change Notices, Document Correction Notices, Field Change Requests) following change management procedures
  • Responsible to perform AIM activities to reconcile CERs in applicable projects in EDMS


Key Qualifications:

  • Previous Oil & Gas Industry experience
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant AIM exposure & experience
  • Technical Diploma/Certification is an asset
  • Previous SAP experience is highly desirable
  • Previous LiveLink experience is highly desirable

Project Controls Analyst

Our client who is a leading Oil and Gas company are currently looking for a Project Controls Analyst on 3 month Independent Contract basis in Ft McMurray. This position requires candidates to live and work in Fort McMurray, no Fly in Fly out or Camp provided.
Reporting to the team lead of project controls, you will support project execution by providing transactional financial support through the project life cycle.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the project work breakdown structures, and the project network and activities in SAP
  • Build purchase requests with required backup, vendor quotes, and in alignment with supply chain management standards
  • Enter forecast into SAP by assigned deadline
  • Prepare and submit month end journal entries to align with finance standards and timelines
  • Prepare, consolidate and analyze individual project or program reports for all partners
  • Be knowledgeable of and adhere to all finance policies, ensuring that spending is in line with capital and/or expense guidelines
  • Drive the closure of purchase orders, the financial close, the asset listing for Finance, and the SAP closure for the project
  • Provide detailed reporting on funding progress, trending and forecasting

Experience

  • Five or more years of experience managing project financials, including month end, quarter end, and year-end reporting, and stewardship
  • Experience with project set up and effective use of the Project system in SAP
  • Degree or diploma in financial accounting or related technical or business function
  • American Association of Cost Engineering (AACE) certification or completed courses towards certification is preferred
  • Intermediate MS Office and SAP skills, specifically SAP Project system

Essential Abilities

Process Engineer

We are looking for a Process Engineer with strong experience in CHP (Combined Heat and Power) onshore in Africa. The project will be to help provide gas to multiple clients in need of power. This will be working with the clients to provide small bespoke solutions, complete front end work and seeing the projects through. Clients are 1.5MW (MAX) plants so it will be running multiple concurrent small projects.

Required experience:

  • Utilities experience essential (power, water waste, chemical)
  • Strong CHP (Combined Heatand Power) needed
  • Gas project experience preferred but not essential
  • Africa experience advantageous
  • Good client facing experience

Terms:

  • Day rate (TBC)
  • Ideally residential, potentially can be rotational for the right candidate
  • Onshore based in Africa (office based with site trips)
  • Long term contract role
