Instrument and Control Construction Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Instrument & Control Construction Engineer to work with a leading operator. The construction engineer will be responsible for the overall delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) installation/construction across the topsides platform.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent personal HSSE leadership and HSE behaviours. Lead, by example, with regards to company's HSE policy.
  • Fulfil the role of focal-point for I&C installation/construction, providing ongoing construction input to Engineering disciplines, during design for both Greenfield and Brownfield scopes of work.
  • Actively participate in construction-related decisions; collaborate with PCM to provide a discipline perspective to schedules, design deliverables, materials purchases, materials delivery configuration and sequence (ie: through canal-network), as well as development of any required subcontracts.
  • Interface with Design and Fabrication Contractors to ensure constructability input is being actively considered and implemented for I&C equipment and related packages.
  • Input to Build-It-Clean programs, including all associated construction preservation procedures for I&C equipment.
  • Provide all necessary technical input to Construction Execution Plan, Mechanical Completion Plan, Construction Work Package Plan (CWPP) and Construction Site Surveillance Plan.
  • Support the development and implementation of project modernisation and transformation solutions across the construction discipline.
  • Anticipate and identify adverse trends/events throughout the construction cycle and work with the relevant parties to avoid them or achieve timely resolution.

  • A high-level of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Significant experience of I&C installation/construction, including knowledge of associated codes and practices.
  • Experience of effectively interfacing and working together with Design / Construction Contractors and Operations entities.

Work Environment

Customer Service Representative

SUMMARY
Provides assistance in the Customer Service Department which includes providing customer service duties to all accounts and administering customer complaints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes and processes customer orders from receipt to delivery and inputs data into SAP. Communicate with the planners and sales personnel on product availability, shipment date.
  • Coordinate all standard and emergency truck shipments to meet customer needs.
  • Communicates daily by telephone and/or email with customers regarding placing orders and supplying information relative to their orders.
  • Acts as liaison between sales and customers to ensure availability of product and validates plant production volume schedules.
  • Coordinates and reviews customer credit status with credit analyst to prevent shipments to customers who are credit risks.
  • Processes all documentation required for each shipment.
  • Responsible for Regional and territory accounts. Monitor's the railcar movements, timely shipments and creates a weekly status report for key accounts.
  • Work with sales and management on complaint resolution upon receipt from plant.
  • Work with the Traffic department on delayed and lost railcars. Communicate issues to sales personnel for resolution.
  • Go over forecasted orders against actual orders and obtain approval for any order not forecasted before entering.
  • Perform the primary thinking encompassed by this job description.
  • Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
  • Fully supports Company goals of continuous improvement and operational excellence at strategic and tactical levels including reviewing area of responsibility for improvement opportunities to initiate projects or communicate ideas to management as well as active participation on project teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must be computer literate and be able to operate multiple office machines. SAP experience preferred. Strong communications skills are required. Must be detailed oriented. Must be able to work in a pressured environment with rigid deadlines, and be willing to work overtime when required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
B.S. Degree preferred, with up to 3 years of customer service and/or marketing experience. Degree requirement may be waived with acceptable level of progressive experience in customer service and/or marketing.

Drilling Engineer

Position: Drilling Engineer

Location: Houston

Petroplan is currently working with an expansion focused E&P business who are in the process of increasing their engineering team in their Houston base. Due to this continued growth, a need has arisen within the business to add a highly experienced Drilling Engineer to their Permian operations division to assist with the ongoing and upcoming unconventional projects.

In this position, you will report directly into the Drilling Engineering Manager and act as the focal point for drilling engineering activity. You will be involved with ensuring that all activities are planned, scheduled and executed to achieve the agreed requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Key challenges will include:

  • Preparing operational plans for planned wells and liaising with other departments when required
  • Responsible for drilling optimization, identifying best practises and running lessons learned when required
  • Travel to the field is required as and when needed
  • Deal with third party vendors with a strong focus on cost and performance

You must have at least 10 years of experience, including 6 years' experience in oil and gas operations working as a Drilling Engineer. Experience working in the Permian is preferred and must hold at least a Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline.

Suitable candidates will be a driven, autonomous, self-motivated safety professional who is passionate and hungry to succeed.
