Job Overview - LET Structural Field Engineer/Technician
Reporting to the LET Construction Lead, you will be responsible for oversight of the installation of structural hull stiffening and miscellaneous tertiary steel during the dry dock phase

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support for the refining process through effective utilization of laboratory instrumentation and measurement systems. You will also provide administrative and technical support for all laboratory analysis, instrumentation and personnel.

  • Assess and apply innovation in developing technological solutions to further advance improvements in measurement systems, capture efficiencies
  • Ensure laboratory instrumentation and measurements are aligned with all applicable SPC/SQC processes, daily lab quality audits, and monthly/annual laboratory clean fuels re-certifications
  • Advise laboratory personnel of priorities in day to day activities
  • Schedule personnel to ensure adequate staffing is available to support safe, reliable laboratory operations
  • Manage decisions regarding personnel issues to ensure that the rules of the collective bargaining agreement are being followed
  • Collaborate with engineering, production planning and other refinery operations personnel in troubleshooting and optimization of plant production and quickly resolve quality assurance issues
  • Work with appropriate laboratory staff to develop and update testing protocols, providing technical support where necessary
  • Install and commission new analytical instrumentation - train affected personnel, generate/support related procedures, develop related reliability programs and SPC processes based on criticality/risk
  • Repair and uptime of advanced laboratory electronics and instrumentation
  • Ensure that laboratory database (LIMs) meets customer needs; SQC requirements are met, specifications are updated, testing schedules are accurate, resources are adequate, and interfaces such as OSI PI are functional
  • Provide technical assistance to operations for specialized activities


Qualification/Experience Requirements:

  • Two or more years of experience in refining or a related field
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Electrical Engineering
  • The ability to anticipate potential problems and check for out-of-the-ordinary conditions, as well as having a strong sense of accountability

Petroplan is recruiting on behalf of a well know and major Oil Field Service company in need of a Laborer (Lead) and will report directly into the General Foreman. This opportunity will be contract, rotational and located in Corpus Christi area.
Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets instructions and procedure
  • Moves materials and equipment to work locations
  • Sets up work locations
  • Participates in routine and turnaround plant maintenance projects and activities
  • Prepares construction sites, pours and spreads concrete, sets forms, and/or finishes surfaces


Requirements:

  • Great communication skills
  • Follow all HSE requirements including wearing PPE
  • Valid drivers license

The candidate would have complex problem solving skills. Also, the candidate would have a passion for learning and be comfortable learning individually with online resources or in a team environment."


Key Accountabilities

* Actively participates on projects, working with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to complete product development tasks.
* Collaborates with all teammates on design and development tasks.
* Contributes to the team by analyzing, developing, testing, documenting, and maintaining high quality software solutions as required.
* Responsible for meeting project milestones and for completing user stories in sprints as stated in the definitions of done.
* Follows established standards and guidelines for deliverables.
* Learns, follows, applies, and adapts agile software development techniques, methodologies, and processes.
* Responsible for contributing, receiving, and acting upon constructive feedback for continuous process, product, and self-improvement.
* Provides technical knowledge to enhance overall product performance, usability, aesthetics, and consistent pattern compliance.
* Conducts code reviews and perform component, visual, functional, and automated testing.
* Works with Technical Support to reproduce and resolve customer issues as required.
Required and Preferred Skills and Experience

* Experienced level, typically 5-7 years of experience.
* Requires a strong understanding of discipline.
* Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations.
* Makes decisions within broad parameters.
* Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.
