Applications Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client's Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Our client's plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are looking for an innovative Enterprise Applications Architect to develop and implement systems architecture that will meet business needs. The Architect's responsibilities include gathering requirements and functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and integrate information systems to meet the company's needs
• Assess the systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it
• Resolve technical problems as they arise
• Provide supervision and guidance to development teams
• Continually research current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed
• Inform various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented
• Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or commensurate work experience
• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design
• Previous project management experience is advantageous
• In-depth understanding of coding languages (Java, JavaScript)
• Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
