Prospective candidates will be providing support to a team of engineers, geologists and geophysicists along with another project team. Some duties include the following preparing PowerPoint presentations, booking meetings, creating organization charts, personnel onboarding assistance and creating and filing meeting minutes.

  • Reliability Engineering, maintenance engineering experience in O&G industry is desired.
  • Proficient in building complex and interactive user-centered tools and dashboards using GE APM and PowerBI. Knowledge and skills with other commercially available analytic tools is a plus (e.g. Tableau).
  • Knowledge and experience with standards, procedures & business process development is a plus.

Education and Experience

This is an upcoming contract role that we are currently sourcing candidates for. It is an open-ended contract position that is based in the Fort Saskatchewan area.
Duties

  • Manage an upcoming turnaround project at a major industrial facility
  • Engage in early phase planning and organization for the turnaround with a focus on schedule and budget adherence
  • Incorporate HSE and Quality practices into early stage planning
  • Provide direction to multi-discipline team with focus on schedule, cost, HSE, quality and oversight of contractors
  • Ensure team is following established policies and procedures; If need be revise and implement current procedures
  • Draft and communicate regular progress reports based on established KPIs and metrics
  • Make sure that all deliverables, milestones and contractor commitments are clearly understood by all stakeholders
  • Effectively manage the team via excellent leadership skills


Qualifications

  • 15 to 20 years experience in operations, maintenance, engineering in a site based environment
  • Post-secondary education and training in either a technical degree program, college diploma or trade combined with experience mentioned above
  • Experience or training in formal project management techniques
  • Have worked on site in a complex process facility such as refining, upgrading, gas plants and/or petrochemical facility
  • Experience on large turnaround projects
  • Previous experience on large capital spend projects with complex deliverables, multiple stakeholders and large delivery teams
  • Generalist knowledge of HSE, Quality, Commissioning, Operations, contracts administration and project controls
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel specifically and the MS Office Suite generally
  • Experience using an advance ERP system
  • Leadership experience with accountability for driving team deliverables, performance management, hiring/terminations

Job Overview

From a data migration perspective, support the ERAM (Enterprise Reliability Asset Management) upgrade project delivering an upgrade of GE APM v3.6 (Meridium) to APM v4.5.

Key Accountabilities

  • Migration of data from legacy ESD (Equipment Strategy Datasheets) to a current template for loading into GE APM (Meridium)
  • Remediate, translate, prepare static equipment strategies to standardized template for application loading
  • Collaborate extensively with business leads to understand the objectives and supporting data
  • Provide data cleansing, quality, and validation efforts
  • Transform data into usable load sheets for vendor data mapping and migration efforts
  • Develop test conditions and validate expected results to ensure business objectives are met
  • Facilitate and ensure operational acceptance of data quality
  • Support migration of data activities through the environment lifecycle (sbx, dev, ut, prd)



Roles and Qualifications

  • 5 years of designing and implementing data engineering, ingestion and curation practices
  • 3 years project experience in O&G, mining, or aircraft manufacturing industry experience
  • Reliability engineering, maintenance engineering experience in O&G industry is desired
  • Knowledge about working on Microsoft SQL management studio
  • GE APM previous experience on any module
  • Advanced MS Excel skill level
