Role: Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

Location: Downtown Houston

Direct Hire, onsite role

This is unique and challenging role that would suit a senior level, ambitious person who enjoys being hands on.

This is an IT team that is developing from scratch. My client are identifying talent, tools and processes for a successful future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggest improvements
  • Create business architecture models to reflect the organization's strategies and goals and create and implement business visions and goals
  • Evaluate systems engineering, talent recruiting, and accounting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities
  • Suggest ideas to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
  • Organize training to improve employees' knowledge and skills for future organizational growth
  • Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
  • Create methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control
  • Determine and implement build versus buy strategies



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Experience in system architecture
  • Experience in modeling and graphic representations
  • Demonstrated technical analytical and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Financial Planning Analyst - Oil & Gas

Petroplan is actively recruiting for a Financial Planning Analyst on behalf of an international Exploration and Production Company in the Houston, TX area. It is pivotal in this role that you have a strong understanding and prior track record working for Exploration and Production companies focused on either international or domestic operations.

In this position, the successful incumbent will manage the near and long term forecasting and scheduling process and serve as a key liaison between accounting, treasury and operations. This position will also ensure project costs are tracked and forecast.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Generate schedules for numerous projects across company assets
  • Must be able to understand the ongoing obligations outlined in contractual agreements in order to ensure partners are notified properly in advance of funding requests
  • Build business functions for annual and multi-year plans
  • Guide and direct key people within the accounting organization to ensure the proper allocation of receivables and general understanding of how to bill appropriate parties for turnkey projects
  • Actively work with accounting, treasury and land to track and forecast project related payments
  • Build and maintain models that allow portfolio management and prioritization of activities
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders and pursue follow up actions and solutions
  • Assist Management team with weekly and monthly project updates and forecasts
  • Assist with budget and annual planning process
  • Act as liaison with Accounting, Asset Management, Finance, and Production groups to standardize data used for internal reporting.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • MBA or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, business, or related discipline required
  • 5 years in the Oil and Gas industry, specifiaclly withing the E&P sector
  • Strong communication skills within all levels of the organization, which include verbal, written and nonverbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Strong understanding of oil and gas terminology for all E&P operations including production, accounting, drilling, completions, P&A, field development, etc.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint required

Petroplan is exclusively recruiting for an Executive Administrative Assistant to support the CEO of a Houston based company within the oil and gas industry.


In this role, the Executive administrative assistant will provide support to the Chief Executive officer as well as other members of the executive team. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain balance among multiple priorities. This position will require the individual to be able to work under pressure at times and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for the Executive Leadership managing an extremely active calendar of appointments
  • Composing and preparing confidential correspondence
  • Prepare for meetings or lunches by scheduling conference rooms, and helping put together presentations
  • Help compose expense reports for the department
  • Pull various data points from systems
  • Escort visitors and guests to meetings and act as a host for the company
  • Help all departments in researching various transactions and supply backup documentation
  • Booking travel for individuals and teams as needed
  • Assist as backup for other administrative personnel during vacations, sick days, short term leave, etc. if requested
  • Assist with answering incoming calls and taking messages
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail; assist with any outgoing mail or packages
  • Provide assistance to the Treasury and Business Development/Land departments as requested
  • Ability to help with routing accounting tasks such as, bank maintenance, bank errors, and organizing other bank related matters.
  • As needed, assist financial accounting in monthly reconciliations
  • When needed, assist with scanning and indexing documents, making copies and filing


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry
  • Strong communication skills within all levels of the organization, which include verbal, written and nonverbal communication
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Must have the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
