Home based role with travel for a large, global engineering company.

  • Sales and market development.
  • Establishing a new business area.
  • Growing life science business unit.

  • Strategically build and expand relationships with domestic USA biopharmaceutical industry R&D and manufacturing customers. Leverage personal industry contacts for lead generation and sales opportunities.
  • Drive sales initiatives for lab-scale bioreactor and manufacturing process control technologies
  • Work cooperatively with North American engineering and sales partners on forecasts, price quotations, negotiations, planning, demonstrations, installations, delivery logistics, customer support, etc.
  • Participate / accompany partner field staff to support sales, technical service, custom projects or other activities
  • Develop and execute sales strategy, plan, targets and budget for bioprocess market sales achievement. Provide leadership and motivation to partner companies to drive sales revenue to meet or exceed plans
  • Meet or exceed sales plans and other market development initiatives
  • Performs other duties as required, including sales forecasting.

Strategic, analytical, planning and communication skills, including an ability to work well with the all departments including CEO, Board Members, and Department Leaders. Build transformative projects within organizations and implement improved financial reporting, Forecasting / Controls for both domestic and global organizations . Supervise the operations of the accounting/finance department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives. Mentoring and development of personnel including Managing the accounting and finance team with a hands-on approach collaborative effort, both domestic and international teams. Experience with budgeting/forecasting with complex/dynamic financial models .Direct experience working with venture capital and private equity investors is required. Strong financial modeling, business plan development skills, and investor deck preparation experience are required. Applicable industry experience would include technology, manufacturing, and goods & services. Work with a variety of clients, providing critical senior financial management services with the ability to deliver those services at a hands-on approach. Ability to adapt to various client environments, and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization. Candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations are strongly preferred Qualifications 5 years of CFO experience having delivered change in a Private Equity and/or Venture Capital backed environment. Exhibits highest ethical standards. Ability to effectively work as productive leader of cross-functional teams . Comfortable and confident providing risk-based guidance in an everchanging environment. Organized/multi-tasker/attentive to details; Able to maintain high volume, high quality workflow, even in peak periods. Able to manage multiple client relationships. Creative problem-solver substantively and with respect to work processes . Driven to deliver superior work product and results Self-starter with initiative and ability to identify process improvement opportunities. Strong and persuasive communication skills.
