Role: Operations Start-Up Lead
Location: South East - UK
Type: PAYE Contract - Initially 12 months
Other: Candidate must have right to work in the UK without need of sponsorship

Role Outline
Acts as the first point of contact for engineering issues arising at site, and carries out immediate triage and decision-making to resolve issues (Comment: seeks advice and resources from the Operations Support (OS) and Engineering teams for issues outside own technical expertise).
Increases the site understanding of asset vulnerabilities and engineering/process safety issues by maintaining a visible presence at site and provision of training, coaching, and mentoring. Supports the risk management process, including development and implementation of risk action plans and monitoring/communication of barrier health. Provides engineering input into SOP improvement and reviews site risk assessments (Comment: relevant activities include ORAs, HITRA level 2, Abnormal operations, critical SOP assessments, SOP redlining, non-conformant isolations, Leaks and Seeps, alarm
The operations Start-Up lead represents Field Operation interests to ensure commissioning and start-up are progressed in an integrated and timely manner. During appraise and select he/she provides input into the commissioning and start up strategy. During define he/she will play an active role in commissioning, start up planning and process systemization. During execute the Operations Start Up Lead will participate in planning for design freeze, facilitate early planning and the handover to field Operations. In addition he/she will manage and execute the handover and start up of the new facility. The operations Start Up Lead is co-located with Field Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performed lessons learned research for Project IM plan and provide the information to the Project development Manager; - By Risk Management Lead to provide inputs for Opex/lifting cost targets and Operations org structure;
- Integrating initial commissioning and startup strategy into design philosophies/strategies. Provide Field Operations requirements to SOR;
- By project lead to provide to evaluate application of IM standard in project concepts;
- To provide commissioning and startup impacts of option to the Project manager (Provide concerns on all options);
- By E&C Ops Lead on input to the Project Lead for the PEP:SimOps;
- Create the Start-up Plan
- Prepare PMAC for execute stage;
- Provide input to define DSP;
- To Provide Project Manager with input into the plan, identify gatekeepers,
- To provide the Project manager with the start-up plan;
- To identify field Operations resources to meet the staffing plan and provide to the Project manager;
- To provide project manager with input on developing the Pre-operation plan;
- Ensure the O&M, commissioning, and Start-up Philosophies/strategies are in alignment with previously established guidelines;
- To provide Field Operations input to the Project Manager as needed to execute VIPs;
- To Provide Project Manager with input on permit related operational commitments;
- To provide Project Manager with equipment and capital spares as well as commissioning spares requirements.
Key Criteria
Relevant/significant experience in either an internal or external engineering role, or similar. Any Engineering discipline. Experience on an operating site Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering, with sound knowledge of the relevant industry codes, standards and regulations and the ability to initiate guidance on the appropriate designs and systems to prevent, control and mitigate risks. Sound stakeholder management experience.

Instrument & Control Engineer

Petroplan are assisting a major client of ours in their search for an Instrument & Control Engineer on a contract basis to provide technical guidance and authority on all matters pertaining to I&C processes, one would provide expertise to other teams by performing and reviewing complex, or non-routine I&C calculations and analyses, to MoCs and to brownfield projects & modifications and finally, provide expertise in hazard identification and risk assessment.

Key Criteria:

Substantial experience and technical understanding of engineering, maintenance and operation of instrumentation and control equipment in oil & gas processing facilities. Knowledge of governing codes, industry standards and local regulations relevant to instrumentation and control engineering, and proven ability in practical application of engineering standards and practices for instrumentation and control equipment.

Location: Sunbury (open to remote working)

Rate: Dependent on experience
