Description: Roles and Responsibilities:

The duties of this position are:

The primary processes that are managed by the Supply and Trading team are: Supply Planning and Biofuels Compliance. Each of these processes have unique risks that the Supply Operations Advisor will address.
Supply Planning
* Site Run Outs - Creating lift letters and ensuring the supply is available for the Logistics team to access from our suppliers mitigates the reputational and financial risks of sites being out of fuel.
* Reporting on Performance - Intelligently reporting on the Supply Planning process allows senior members of the team to adapt the supply plan to optimize revenues. This mitigates financial risk of non-optimized (more expensive) supply to sites and non-optimized fuel from our suppliers.
Biofuels Compliance
* Regulatory Penalties - Each province (and soon Federal) have their own biofuels compliance regulations and requirements. The risk of not meeting these regulations is both a financial and reputation risk. These risks are mitigated through this role of improved visibility into the regulatory and trading processes as the performance of our regulatory compliance is tracked and regularly reported.
The proper mitigation of these risks will save the company approximately $500,000 annually.

Are you a supply chain management (SCM) professional with strong technical knowledge and experience in SCM procurement who has a focus on continuous improvement? In this role, you will provide procurement support to a site-based business unit project (BUP) team. Job description for Sr Engineer, Materials engineering role

Responsibilities:

* Develop and update company specifications and practices related to steel pipe and components, welding, and non-destructive examination to ensure compliance with current industry standards and regulations
* Develop and maintain company welding procedures to ensure compliance with CSA Z662, ASME IX, and best practices.
* Review and approve third-party welding procedures for compliance with CSA Z662 and ASME IX.
* Support field welding operations through welding procedure selection, troubleshooting, and in-service welding assessments including weld modeling.
* Support procurement processes by reviewing material test reports and technical exception requests from vendors to ensure compliance with codes, standards and best practices.
* Provide materials and welding engineering and non-destructive examination support to pipeline and equipment integrity programs, capital and projects of all sizes, and company initiatives in business development and operational excellence.
* Support the assessment of new materials and products of interest to the company.
* Coordinate failure analysis testing when needed

Qualifications/Required:

* Accredited University degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering, or equivalent
* Working knowledge of metallic materials, welding engineering, NDE, and quality assurance.
* Six or more years materials and welding engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
* Must have P.Eng. designation in Ontario or within Canadian jurisdiction.
* Demonstrated strong technical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
* Demonstrated strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* Demonstrated strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. An ability to build and maintain a good working relationship with the client groups is critical to this role.
* Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Valid Ontario Class G driver's license.

Desired/preferred:

* Experience conducting root cause analysis, forensic metallurgical failure analysis, and material testing.
* Experience providing materials and welding support to major capital projects.
* Experience providing operations support in oil and gas production, pipelines, or refining.
* Familiar with the fundamentals of Quality Assurance from both a procurement and construction standpoint.

Reporting to the Procurement Service Centre - Team Lead, the position incumbent will provide purchase requisition, purchase order life cycle management and supplier support for company Business Units. This role can support multiple business units.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create purchase requisitions from defined requirements in support of Business Unit activities as required. Monitor approval of requisitions and complete requisition changes as required. Complete trouble shooting and problem resolution as required.
2. Create and approve purchase orders in a fast paced environment with a high level of accuracy.
3. Manage purchase order lifecycle which includes monitoring, investigation and timely resolution of purchase order, receiving and invoicing queries and discrepancies. .
4. Work collaboratively with all Supply Chain Management Teams and Business Unit customers.
5. Manage large volumes of purchase order confirmations, follow-up requests for confirmations and escalation to Supply Chain Management team members responsible for further follow-up to meet business requirements.
6. Identify problems and suggest opportunities for improvement to Team Lead.
