District Manager

Our Operations group is looking for a District Manager to support our national retail and commercial/cardlock business in Southern Ontario/ (GTA). This role is a fantastic opportunity to further develop and grow your experience in oil and gas.

The District Manager is the primary link between the Retailer and our organization. He or she is responsible for the fuel volume, ancillary sales, and overall profitability of a group of retail and commercial sites in a defined geographic area. Typically, a District Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of roughly 30 sites.

The successful candidate will manage the execution of corporate operational standards, marketing plans, and programs, as well as customer service and Health, Safety and Environment standards. The position is responsible for operations across our retail and commercial network, within a defined geographical region. It is expected that the successful candidate with spends a minimum of 70% of their time in the field.

Key responsibilities may include:
* Developing and managing the retailer relationship * Recruiting and retaining high-quality retailers.
* Effectively communicating our corporate business model, operating practices, training support, marketing plans and programs, and standards programs.
* Managing the on-site execution of operating standards, including on-site observation, reviewing third-party reports, and helping to develop action plans for improvement.
* Regularly analyzing site financial and volumetric reports and counseling on finding operational efficiencies to improve business performance.
* Limiting our environmental liability by monitoring fuel inventory control procedures/records and reviewing/advising on required infrastructure improvements.
* Managing approved retail fuel price strategies and tactics; actively observing market price movements and recommending market-specific price strategies and tactics.
* Responding to customer concerns as needed

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
* A minimum of five years' experience in the retail gasoline/ convenience industry or retail industry; multi-unit management would be considered an asset.
* A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Economics, Marketing or equivalent * Proven business, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to analyze financial and volumetric data * Self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure and meet or exceed deadlines with minimal supervision * Demonstrated ability to creatively identify, develop and qualify business opportunities * Above average presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) in English. French is an asset * Attention to detail, superior organizational skills combined with the ability to multi-task * Demonstrated initiative, enthusiasm, dedication, and success in previous endeavors.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintenance Plan management

  • Organization of MEM Maintenance Model
  • Demonstrates a functional knowledge of SAP with the ability to develop job plans, task lists, order materials, generate purchase orders and maintain BOM's
  • Ensures that Job Packages contain Safe Work Practices and documentation.

  • Adhere to all Policies, Practices and Procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • Highly proficient with SAP PM Module
  • Prometheus experience, preferred
  • Red Seal 5 years Maintenance Planning / Scheduling.
  • Would be considered an asset if candidate had Mobile Maintenance experience and or SAP PM Master Data experience
  • A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

Must be a highly motivated individual that will participate in project planning, execution and ongoing construction and commissioning technical support. This position is a field-based contract role, 8 on 6 off rotation based in Christina Lake, AB.
Air transportation to and from site will be provided via centralized travels hubs out of Edmonton and Calgary AB.

Responsibilities:
Contractor & Project management
Participate in project execution planning activities

Strong written English skills with emphasis on clearly describing technical items
Ability to read construction drawings, including P&IDs, isometrics and discipline-specific documents

Qualifications:
Engineering technician diploma in any discipline or degree
3-5 years construction and commissioning project tech experience
Experience in Oil, Gas and Mining design and engineering an asset

Construction Supervisor

Petroplan have recently partnered with a Canadian Oil & Gas company whose operations include oil sands projects along with established natural gas and oil production. The organization are looking for a Construction Supervisor to join the team in Lloydminster.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

* You are the owners representative as the prime contractor.
* You are responsible to enforce and maintain safety expectations.
* Ensure proper documentation is in place prior to starting the project.
* Ensure appropriate handover of all documentation if a project is transferred to another CSR.
* Ensure the Job Books are kept up to date throughout the project and returned complete in a timely fashion (two weeks). Ensure contractors are completing proper documentation to supplement the Job Book.
* You are responsible to plan the sequence of construction of events and ensure the selected contractors are scheduled on site.
* Always ensure the use of approved contractors. If it hasn't been identified within the project discuss with your Superintendent.
* Ensure all contractors are working efficiently while meeting safety and quality expectations.
* Site working hours are 10 hour days unless otherwise determined per project. On days off or travel home days you must review with the Construction Superintendent the time required on site for that day.


* You are required to report all incidents and serious near misses/hazard ID's to the Construction Superintendent immediately and then follow up with the incident report in a timely fashion. Consult the CSR Expectations memo for notification requirements per incident type.
* Ensure work authorization permit is in place prior to commencement of work and is signed off at the end of the day or contractor phones when leaving site, and record on the permit.
* You are required to submit your Man-Hours on the Daily Report.
* You are required to do worker observation/LSR verification as defined and email them to Construction Data Entry, the Superintendent and the Construction Safety Rep.
* It is important to understand when you are accepting the controlling authority of a site or when the site is staying within Operations' control and you are acting on their behalf.
* Ensure all contractors receiving a permit have Check Point Permit Holder Training.
* Review Contractor Task Hazard Assessments and sign them.
* Perform THA Assessment as defined.
* Ensure to discuss LSR's that pertain to tasks.
* Ensuring fitness-for-task is considered when authorizing work and that individuals are empowered to speak up if they have concerns (fitness-for-task includes physical ability, physical limitations, mental state, emotional state, fatigue, morale, motivation, stress, high workload, time pressure, poor communication, vague guidance, overconfidence, first time performing task, distraction, first day back following days off, end of work shift, phobias, etc.).


SCOPE/QUALITY ASSURANCE/QUALITY CONTROL
* Follow scope of work and do not deviate without approval from Project Lead or Construction Superintendent. Manage the construction spend to the PO limit as well as approved construction change orders.
* Carry out a P&ID check throughout the job to ensure work is completed as per P&ID. Utilize Request for Information (RFI) with RFI Log.
* You will follow the land line lists and ensure that the landowner conditions are met, and discussions are documented.
* Obtain vendor quotations from contractors at the request of Project Leads or EPCs.
* You are required to ensure all contractors and disciplines utilize ITPs.
* Review the ITP and place hold points, percentage of witness and review steps on the ITP. You are required to work with the contractor to keep the ITP up to date.
* Follow commissioning and Turnover to Operations activities as discussed at the project kick-off meeting. Categorize, resolve and track deficiencies in a timely manner.
* Complete sign off with operations and contractor when job is complete.
* You are required to gather up QA/QC binders and documentation including signed NDE reports, fill them out and turn them in together in a timely manner. You are responsible to review the QA/QC turnover binders and ensure all applicable documentation is included.
* Ensure all NDE technicians have the appropriate certifications for the task.
* You are responsible to issue NCRs and ensure contractors issue NCRs for their specific scope. NCRs need to be logged.
* Ensure contractors are completing all as built and red line drawings and including in the job book.
* You will be required to witness pressure tests and make sure the documents are filled out properly.
* You will ensure welders are prequalified by the contractor and ensure that they are using approved welding procedures that have been accepted.
* You will ensure that the proper material is being installed as per line lists and specifications and is logged. Review and spec. deviations.
* When sending contractors to pick up materials for you, ensure a packing slip is generated and the contractor has received all noted materials.
* Follow the HOG material transfer process and cc the project lead when material transfers are submitted.
* At the end of a job, complete the Project Completion Cleanup Report (spring clean-up or other work) and provide to the project lead and EPC. Submit a copy of the cleanup report in job binder and email to HOG Spring Cleanup. This helps to plan the clean-up work and to forecast final costs.

SAFETY
* You are required to keep all your safety certifications valid and current.
* Ensure that all Safety Rules and Regulations are followed. Always default to the most stringent policies and the Life Saving Rules.
* The ERP must be created, reviewed and distributed to all personnel. Make sure they follow the roles and responsibilities of the ERP.
* Complete ERP Exercises as defined.
* Ensure the Site Sign In is being utilized and the Contractor Orientation is complete.
* Ensure that all workers understand it is their responsibility to Refuse Unsafe Work.
* Ensure contractor's safety tickets are available for the applicable work task and site.
* Ensure you receive a site-specific orientation and hazard assessment from operations and that you communicate this to the contractors. This needs to be documented.
* Ensure all contractors receive the construction and site-specific orientation.
* Make sure daily tailgate meetings take place as scheduled with everyone in attendance. Record minutes and/or items discussed.
* You are required to follow LOTO Policy
* Ensure permits and site-specific hazard assessments are filled out properly.

REPORTING
* Complete daily reports summarizing activities and costs. Daily reports are to be emailed to the Project Lead, Constructions Superintendent, EPC, HOG Daily Construction, and whoever else requires them as discussed in the kickoff meeting. Record all areas of concern, late delivery items, etc. on the daily report.
* Tickets to be signed and returned to the vendor in a timely manner. You are required to fill out the Cost Summary Report or submit tickets to HOG Data Entry for Salesforce entry daily.
* It is required to attach pictures along with daily reports to show events or work on projects.
* You are required to manage a Change Order Log, a Request for Information Log (RFI), and a Non-Conformance Report Log (NCR). Ensure all personnel on site are aware of this expectation.

Required Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
* Formal certification (diploma) in Instrumentation and/or Electrical Technology, Journey person status required
* Experience with an offshore oil and gas environment. Minimum 2-5 years' experience
* Experience planning work activities within a computerized maintenance software system
* Experience working with P&IDs, Isometrics, and Control Drawings
* Experience with Hazardous Area Environments, Equipment Certifications and common installation practices
* Familiarization with industrial process instrumentation, fire and gas detection equipment, metering systems, safety instrumented systems, hazardous locations and control valves.
* Familiarization with electrical safety, power generation/distribution, small power equipment, heat trace and electric motors.
* Experience with MS Office and SAP would be an asset
* Strong working knowledge of mining/oil & gas / industrial process systems and equipment (e.g. electrical distribution, protection and control, plant process instrumentation and control, pumps and motors, analyzers and alarms, pressure vessels, tanks, piping, package boilers, steam/power co-generation.)

The Project Controls Coordinator (PCC) is responsible for development and implementation of project controls planning, integration of cost and schedule functions as well as quality control oversight of all project controls deliverables for Engineering and Construction capital projects.

Assigned to projects of more than $100 MM/year with multiyear duration with an extreme level of complexity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, in another technical discipline or industry PCC specific related experience with a minimum of twelve years of experience.
  • Professional Engineers Registration (P.E.) and/or Project Management Professional credential (PMP) is preferred;
  • Desired Qualifications Ability to be effective within a matrix organizational structure;

  • During emergency operations you must have the ability to follow direction and execute tactics.
  • Independently provide initial response including size up and conduct immediate mitigation tactics.
  • High level of knowledge and ability to interpret relevant response, medical and operational guidelines, protocols, and policy & procedures.


Duties

  • Reporting to the Emergency Coordinator, you willperform basic duties relating to fire, medical, rescue and hazmat according to standard practices and procedures.
  • Responds to all downgrading incidents as a member of a team under the supervision of Senior Emergency Response Officer (SERO) and/or Emergency Coordinator (EC).
  • Performs assigned tasks as required to support the Emergency Action Plan.
  • Provides medical assessment and treatment within the boundaries of their PCP protocols
  • Supports the Training Group and Treatment Room Group as requested and assigned.



Working conditions

  • The physical working conditions are primarily hands on, task oriented
  • The ERO is regularly exposed to extreme changes in climate during regular daily duties in plant areas. During emergency operations extreme demands are placed on the ERO's physical abilities as well as exposure to extremely hazardous environments including toxic atmospheres, extreme heat, confined spaces, and heights.
  • During emergency operations the mental exertion required is significant due to the extreme pressure to get things done quickly due to the concern for life safety.

The business is looking for a Document Control Analyst with Technical Writing skills to join their team in Lloydminster.
In this position you will be responsible for the development and revision of procedures for thermal/cold operations and maintenance. In addition to document creation and control responsibilities there will be a 25% allocation to cost control activities for field execution teams.


Core responsibilities:
*Revise and develop required procedures in consultation with Class Management team members and Operations/Maintenance personnel to ensure quality and suitability.
*Collaborate with Training and Competency Assurance Deployment team to Monitor, review and communicate procedure creation and revisions to the required stakeholders.
*Monitor and report procedural change revision history, frequency, and requests to determine effectiveness of procedural change management.
*Facilitate a procedure review project focusing on: procedure count reduction and elimination, transforming low risk procedures into reference information and checklists.
*Support class management team with project cost control tracking, invoice attesting, and other administrative duties as required.
*Support future document repository migration when required

Job role

Under direct supervision, the ideal candidate will perform maintenance on down-hole tools and other equipment used in the applications for down-hole tools.

Areas of specialization may include: mechanical aptitude, assembly and disassembly, inspection and maintenance of surface equipment and/or down-hole tools.

Key skills

Forklift, crane experience preferred

Requires a high school diploma, or equivalent. Associates degree and some relevant experience preferred.
