Engineering Analyst II

The company is further developing an Industry-leading Integrity Management Program which ensures our natural gas system assets are safe and reliable. The Integrity department is accountable for understanding the condition of our assets, confirming they are fit for continued use, or justifying replacement projects if they are nearing end of life.
This role resides in the Facilities Integrity Management Program (FIMP) team. Facilities Integrity focuses on sites that connect multiple pipelines or supply gas to customers and perform functions such as increasing or decreasing pressure, as well as measuring and conditioning natural gas. This team develops inspection plans for these sites then assesses the results of the inspections. Each of the unique assets in these sites must be assessed to confirm they are safe for continued service.
The specific role will have a focus on the creation of Integrity Plans for many critical facilities at our company. The creation of these Integrity Plans requires the collection and review of relevant records including design drawings and past condition monitoring activities, identification of integrity threats applicable to the site, and fitness for service assessments.
Previous experience in station design or station integrity within the oil and gas industry would be beneficial.
Requirements: minimum of 2 years work experience.
Education: the candidates would be required to have at minimum an Engineering degree
Technical skills: Experience with MS Office software, Adobe Reader, MS Teams necessary
Helpful but not necessary:
Experience with ProjectWise or similar records management system
Experience with Bentley Navigator or View
Experience with modelling/coding in SPSS software or similar

POSITION INFORMATION

Support Accountabilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of the safety program (e.g. safety meetings, ILP investigations, site inspections, audits, tool box talks, etc.)
  • Support and follow the safety program

  • Work within the CHEPTW system, and issue permits as required.

  • Ability to restart equipment after shutdowns

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Power Engineering Certificate - 4th Class or equivalent experience
  • 5 years of field experience in similar Commissioning roles in both Brownfield and/or Greenfield Projects
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a variety of Industrial backgrounds
  • Strong working knowledge of OH&S Regulations

Job Overview:

From a data migration perspective, support the ERAM (Enterprise Reliability Asset Management) project delivering an upgrade of GE APM v3.6 (Meridium) to APM v4.5.

The key skill / prior experience is "Equipment Strategy Data Sheet transformation". Please confirm candidates have this experience:

  • Authoring of new ESDS's from scratch or updating existing ESDS
  • Understanding the purpose and function of an ESDS within an engineering setting (O&G, Aviation, etc.)
  • Advanced MS Excel skill level

The resource will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing existing ESDS initially authored in prior template version
  • Analyzing the ESDS for irregularities in content such as in appropriate data entry in fields
  • Migrating/transferring existing ESDS information into a NEW standard template (data loader)
  • Loading the new template with the transferred data into GE APM (aka Meridium)
  • Remediate, translate, prepare static equipment strategies to standardized template for application loading
  • Provide data cleansing, quality, and validation efforts
  • Transform data into usable load sheets for vendor data mapping and migration efforts
  • Develop test conditions and validate expected results to ensure business objectives are met
  • Facilitate and ensure operational acceptance of data quality

Client is seeking a Project Engineer - Civil Demolition to lead and manage the hazard assessments, scoping and detailed planning and execution of the demolition of several buildings and miscellaneous facilities within the Client's LNG site. The successful candidate reports directly to Pre-Construction Works Project Manager and will play an essential part in supporting the company's engineering and senior management team. This is a 1-year termed employment.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring safety compliance to Client LNG's Occupational Health and Safety programs; promote a true HSE culture leading by example and actively participating in all aspects of supporting the development of safe work plans, JHA, reporting, corrective actions, etc., as required
* Ensure compliance to - Client LNG's Environmental Management Plans and contractor meets permit requirements set forth by stakeholders, environmental agencies and district of Squamish
* Support QA/QC requirements and work with Project Management Team (PMT) Quality Management
* Manage day-to-day activities of engineering consultant, scope development, assigned to contractor or as assigned by PCW Project Manager
* Coordinate field queries (RFI, technical queries, etc.) and scope changes with PMT Site Management, PMT Engineering, PMT Project Controls and PMT Regulatory & Permitting
* Support Site Procurement/Subcontracts in the development of supporting technical or construction scope documentation for bidding, technical evaluations and contract awards
* Review and verify contractor invoices related to scopes of work overseen

Basic Purpose/Accountabilities

Overall Areas of Responsibility
* Work closely to manage existing contracts and contractor performance
* Participate as a member of both CPC SC & Projects teams to support the effective execution of SC programs through highly effective cross functional communication & coordination strategies
* Lead/facilitate the development and implementation of procurement and contract strategies for Minor and Brownfield Capital expense requirements

The SCM Specialist, Contract & Sourcing Specialist (CS) is an integral role elevating our requirement for commercial expertise with external suppliers and contractors and developing and maintaining support with internal Business partners. The CS manages, assists, and facilitates pre/post contracting and sourcing activities. The scope covers contract formation through to administration. This role will support the Production Operations teams with category management for Material contracts. In addition, this role includes supply chain support for aviation, logistics and transportation contracts.

Overall Areas of Responsibility
* Provide expertise on commercial content and negotiation support to relevant stakeholders for specific contract development
* Ensure that Supply Chain is represented during the formation of commercial relationships in efforts to achieve optimal value
* Support the development and on-going post-award contract management activities including dispute resolution, claims support, scope of work and compensation agreement amendments
* Provide contracting expertise and guidance to both strategic and routine requirements for various service and material agreements
* Support tactical and technical material & equipment sourcing and procurement
