Petroplan is seeking to hire Control Systems and Instrumentation Engineer for one of its clients

Job Summary
The engineer will need to work with plant networks and systems security group, plant automation groups, process engineers, operation engineers, maintenance engineers, contract engineers and other disciplines as deemed necessary to enhance and resolve process control and instrumentation activities within the organization. Additionally, the engineer is expected to participate in the organization and company initiatives including safety programs, innovation programs, operational excellence, knowledge sharing, self-development and other programs as required.
Job Requirements
Hold a bachelor's or preferably master's degree in related engineering discipline to control systems and instrumentations (i.e., Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent) from a recognized and approved program
Have a minimum of 10 years related experience in control systems and instrumentation. Recent experience with Gas Turbines Compressor Control is added advantage NCEES PE (Practice of Engineering), ISA CAP (Certified Automation Professional), TUV/EXIDA FSE (Functional Safety Engineering) are preferred and will be a priority in selection criteria. At least one certification is mandatory
Have good working experience with Honeywell DCS and Honeywell ESD. Experience with Yokogawa Fast/Tools SCADA and Yokogawa ESD/RTU, Emerson Deltav SIS, Schneider Triconex/Trident and Siemens Simatic S7 Systems, (Bentley Nevada) VMS, process analyzers and flow meters is also an added advantage
Have experience plant instrumentation sizing and control design (pressure, temperature, level, flow etc)
Have knowledge of instrumentation and control system design, project handling, studies, and troubleshooting and plant trip investigation
Have knowledge of control system security and control system network
Have the understanding of communication protocols like DNP3, Modbus, FieldBus, TCP, IEC, SPA, RP570, ANSI and General Process Automation Protocols. Industrial communication and wireless technology knowledge is an advantage as well

We are currently supporting our client, a market leading oil and gas company, in finding an experienced Contract Engineer to join their Global Manufacturing Admin Area in Saudi Arabia.
Your primary role will be to develop and prepare contracts for Turnaround Maintenance. It involves preparing contract packages including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Preliminary Cost Estimate, Evaluation Criteria in line with approved contracting strategy and procurement manual.


As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

  • Coordinate and work closely with Turnaround Engineer / Planning team to prepare Requests For Proposals (RFPs) for Turnaround services.
  • Coordinate and prepare contract terms and conditions for the requested services for approved turnaround scope.
  • Prepare / develop Evaluation Criteria and preliminary cost estimate.
  • Coordinate and work closely with Contract Advisor to manage all activities related to bidding process.
  • Route contracts for signature, track work progress and submit regular reports.
  • Participate in Pre-qualification requirement and development of approved bidders list to maximize competition.
  • Participate in Job-Explanation meeting & site visits with intended bidders.
  • Provide & coordinate for clarifications, questions & answers during bidding process.
  • Participate in evaluating offers, bid review team member, reviewing pre-award packages in line with approved contracting strategy and procurement manual.
  • Participate & Coordinate Kick Off Meeting with the awarded contractor, establish deliverables for the contractors to be ready to fulfil the contract requirement.
  • Assist in preparing, developing and measuring Key Performance Indicators for contracting.
  • Maintain computer records of contract information and update all involved parties and stakeholders with current status of contracts and expectations of completion.
  • Assess contractor's performance during the execution of work to ensure that all contractual requirements are being met.
  • Verify and review Contractors' Proposed Variation Orders and submit a Variation Order Status Report.
  • Provide technical advice and guidance on contracting processes and related issues to Turnaround Team.
  • Assist in formulating and improving contracting strategies for turnaround in order to optimize cost and reducing risks in line with procurement manual.

  • You should be able to demonstrate an overall knowledge of computer-estimating programs, such as Aspentech CCE (Capital Cost Estimator), Timberline etc. and shall be familiar with estimate databases such as Means, Richardson and SAP.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), AACE-CCP (American Association of Cost Engineers - Certified Cost Professional) or AACE-CEP (American Association of Cost Engineers - Certified Estimating Professional) certification is preferred.

Job summary
As a control system engineer you will be actively working on all aspects of Honeywell DCS, ESD, and other control systems. This includes System troubleshooting, Failure analysis, Engineering analysis, Logic Modification, Project support, Obsolescence management, keeping systems up to date, developing engineering procedure to enhance the system operability, efficiency and safety in compliance with the applicable International Standards

Job Requirement
You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics or Computer Science from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.
You will have more than 10 years of experience in Industrial Automation Systems, including at least 7 years in DCS and ESD systems.
Advance working knowledge of Honeywell TDC-3000 DCS system comprising of EHPM, ENIM, HM, AM, APP nodes, LCN, Native Window functionality is a must.
Advance working knowledge of Honeywell Experion PKS DCS system comprising of C-300 controller, ESVT server, EST station, HMI Web display Graphics, Alarm management, APC node, OPC is a must.
Advance working knowledge of Honeywell Safety Manager ESD system and its communication with DCS is a must.
Knowledge of Rockwell PLC & HMI, Triconex ESD, CCC, Bentley Nevada will be preferred.
Practical Experience with establishing communication interfaces with third party systems using Ethernet Network and Modbus is necessary.
Networking fundamental knowledge is required
Knowledge of Industrial codes and standards- DIN/ASME/API/ANSI/NEMA/ATEX etc. related to Area of work will be preferred
