The role:

As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be directly working on offshore wind projects and provide geotechnical input in the design and consultancy work Team. You will also have the opportunity for personal development in a range of fields

The key requirements:

  • Geotechnical design/survey/installation works for projects involving foundations and subsea structures
  • Team leader/PM on monopile design for OWT foundations, working together and jointly with the structural and geotechnical teams.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Experience with geotechnical/geophysical data and geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR). Experience managing geological/geotechnical ground models is an advantage
  • Leading the work packages of geotechnical engineering on offshore wind project portfolio - from feasibility through to detailed design with diverse tasks such as geo survey specification, geotechnical interpretation and assistance in certification
  • Providing technical input on project deliverables related to geotechnical subject for OWF
  • Assisting/leading working groups for developing new geotechnical engineering delivery digital tools

Your Qualifications and Experiences:

Essential:

  • Good working knowledge of applicable regulations, codes of practice and standards, particularly for OWF and O&G projects
  • Piled foundation design experience is preferable, including familiarity with state-of-the art 3D FE design methods (PISA or equivalent)
  • Advanced level of understanding of geotechnical issues for OWF
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Motivated, team work
  • Attention to details

Preferable:

  • Awareness of applicable developing geotechnical engineering technology and analysis techniques/methodologies
  • Experienced with proposals and CTR preparation

Job Description

You would be joining the Offshore Structures Team. This exciting team of experts supports the entire offshore wind business. You'll work to build a renewable energy future and as a team to set the standard. You will have proven experience in the design and engineering of wind turbine generator foundations in the offshore environment.

Your Role:

  • Carry out in-place structural analysis and design of offshore wind structures including wind turbine generator foundations, met masts and substation platforms
  • Undertake concept, pre-FEED, FEED and detailed designs
  • Carry out ultimate, serviceability, fatigue and accidental limit state design
  • Lead a project or work with a lead engineer to achieve delivery of projects within allotted budgets and timescales
  • Carry out foundation design involving soil/structure interaction
  • Undertake design for transportation and installation phases of offshore structures
  • Carry out analyses using SESAM or SACS software
  • Provide technical supervision to junior structural engineers as required
  • Produce technical reports, drawings, design briefs and specifications
  • Provide effective leadership for a small team and to be innovative and pro-active within a multidisciplinary team
  • To be responsible for delivering work packages as assigned
  • To be responsible for ensuring that all design work is performed reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with project specific engineering procedures

Key Competence:

  • Recent senior level experience in the design of offshore structures (over 5-years' experience in OWF)
  • Familiarity with current OWF foundation design practices and developments
  • Strong experience and knowledge of offshore wind regulations, codes of practice and design standards
  • Familiarity with integrated load assessment (combined wind and wave analysis in the time domain)
  • Familiarity with time domain, spectral and deterministic methods of fatigue assessment
  • Familiarity with soil structure interaction techniques such as pile/soil interaction, PISA soil analysis
  • Assessing, reviewing and interpreting geotechnical input for offshore structural design (liaising with consultants for detailed design)
  • Experience of SESAM or SACS software will be to the candidate's advantage although practical experience of comparable software will be considered
  • Experience of preparing engineering reports, specifications, briefs and drawings
  • Experience in generating weight reports
  • Any experience in Python programming advantage

Qualifications:

  • BEng or Master Degree in a civil / structural / mechanical / marine engineering or related discipline

The Role:

Working across multiple offshore wind farm projects, the primary focus for the Senior Project Engineer is to deliver scopes of work on Wind Farm projects. The Senior Project Engineer will support the end clients to deliver their Offshore Work Packages and also support on other live offshore wind farm projects including involvement on live bids, proposals, consulting, technical advisory and R&D design lead scopes.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead projects or work with lead engineers to achieve a satisfactory conclusion of the project within the allotted budget and timescale.
  • Responsible, as directed, for providing project engineering services to projects in various phases (design, construction, commissioning or operations)

  • Contract management, preparation, and review of Technical Communication notes.
  • Package / Contractor interface; various - HSE, QA and QC, consent compliance, stakeholder engagement and site conditions (geophysical, geotechnical and metocean).
  • Manage Package Document Control.
  • Assisting in Factory Acceptance Tests or audits of contractors and their sub-contractors.
  • Assisting in the daily management of contractors once the Project moves into the construction phase
  • Proactively identifying engineering issues and risks to be addressed
  • Managing interfaces between construction packages, Marine Warranty Surveyor, Consents Compliance and Health, Safety and Environment
  • Ensure that all design work under their control is performed, reviewed, checked and approved in accordance with ODE and/or project specific engineering procedures

Your Qualifications and Experiences:

  • BEng or Master's Degree in Electrical, Structural, Civil or related Engineering or above

  • Senior level (over 5-years' experience in OWF).

Responsibilities

Network & Infrastructure Specialist

We are currently supporting a global oil trading company in their search for a Network & Infrastructure Specialist to join them in their London office on a permanent staff basis.
The Network & Infrastructure Specialist will be the technical lead, providing end to end solutions and maintaining the Network and Security life cycle ensuring operational efficiency. Your responsibility is safeguarding the company's networks and systems. You will plan and implement security measures to protect all systems from cyber-attacks, hacking attacks, intrusion, infiltration, and natural disasters.
You will report directly to the IT Team Leader.
The position will focus on Network maintenance and Security prevention with support work assisting the support and infrastructure teams as and when required.

Budgetary and risk management responsibilities: This role will ensure that the networks function adequately. They will also be responsible for liaising with the Finance team on budgetary matters and keeping track of IT spend in their area and following due process as it relates to finance.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure IT network and security infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Provide BAU Infrastructure support and assist the support desk duties when requested by the IT Team Leader.
  • Infrastructure administration and project management using existing tools.
  • Work closely with and monitor logs generated from SIEM & Sophos MTR. Perform threat hunts with the tools available to you as and when a security related incident occurs.
  • Identifying, monitoring, and defining the requirements of the overall security of all systems. * Maintain high patching status on all systems.
  • Configuring, maintaining and implementing intrusion detection systems and firewalls, virtual private networks, web protocols, and email security.
  • Perform annual Pen Tests with a third party and follow up remediating found vulnerabilities based on CVSS score and the likelihood of the issue being a problem. Work with the IT Team in working through the issue's found in the Pen Test report.
  • Maintain system uptime and availability as close to 99.99%.
  • Configuring and installing security infrastructure devices.
  • Investigating intrusion and hacking incidents, collecting incident responses, and carrying out forensic investigations.
  • Determining latest technologies and processes that improve the overall security of the system by keeping up to date with the latest security and technology developments.
  • Plan for disaster recovery and create contingency plans in the event of any security breaches.
  • Working with the IT Team Leader - Inform senior management about any security incidents as soon as possible.
  • Be able to re-act fast to security incidents as they happen. Apply mitigation and work-a rounds as a priority to protect systems after a breach has been detected.
  • Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity.
  • Defining and maintaining security policies.
  • Maintaining network switches and devices. Performing upgrades to devices that are vulnerable to attack and have CVE's identified against them.
  • Engage in 'ethical hacking', simulating security breaches.
  • Coordinate with the IT Team Leader during all system incidents, changes and implementations.
  • Maintain and enforce company IT security and compliance policies.
  • Create and maintain a high level of documentation.
  • Ensure that SLA's are adhered to with suppliers.
  • Other tasks as deemed necessary from time to time when requested by the IT Team Leader.


Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in an IT related subject or equivalent, with relevant advanced IT qualifications

We are currently searching for a Project Lead Cost Controller to join our client, one of the largest offshore EPCI companies with engineers, fleets and projects globally.
This is an exciting opportunity to join their Global Projects Centre which is responsible for their largest and most challenging projects.
The position is based in their South London offices with hybrid work options available and a choice of either contract or permanent employment.


Responsibilities:
Within the Finance department, the lead cost controller ensures the provision of all cost control on the project including budget set up, updates and monitoring, change management, variation estimating, cost reporting, risk contingency, and management as well as all forecasting activities.
Your main missions will be:

  • Supervise and monitor the activities of the project cost control team
  • Ensure all costs are allocated to the right destinations (departments, contracting entities).
  • Interface with budget owners regularly to review commitments and challenge their forecasts
  • Ensure in-depth analysis and reporting of variances periodically
  • Ensure constant monitoring of the progress of work by reviewing necessary supporting material (planning and reports) and information
  • Calculate and plan Estimate To Complete (ETC)
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of forecasted and actual expenditures and the production of project accruals
  • Prepare the monthly report in association with the Package Manager Project service manager and the project cost controller

Regular trips to Europe might be required


Your profile

  • 10 years experience in Project Cost control, 2 or 3 years in Leading Cost control on projects, preferably in Oil & gas
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering Cost Control and various types and size of the project.
  • Strong communication
