Document controller

Job Description -

Our Client an EPC company are looking for a Document Controller to join the on a long term contract in their offices in Aberdeen. The role will be offered with a negotiable hourly rate outside IR35.

Job Overview -

As a Document Controller you'll report directly to the Document Controller Manager Undertaking control of all documentation entering and leaving the Project.

Responsibilities -

• Undertake control of all documentation entering and leaving the Project, including registering, numbering, filing and distribution using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), to allow rapid and efficient retrieval of documentation.
• Regular interface with Planning
• Produce the Project Master Document Register as and when required by the Project/Dept Manager
• Generate Reports as and when required by the Project/Dept Manager
• Provide assistance to Engineers in the use of Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
• Responsible in conjunction with other Project members for the collation, formatting and issue of As-built dossiers
• Responsible for the control of the Project/Dept Specific DCC Mailbox
• Liaise with Drawing Office (DO) to ensure DCC receive latest version of all drawings new and revised
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors Document Controllers
• Liaise with external printing company for arrangement of photocopying for mobilisations and as-builts
• Archive Project Documentation in accordance with the TechnipFMC Archiving Procedure
• Provide assistance to new starts
• Assist and support procedural and process maps development, maintenance and improvement as required
• Participate fully in Work Groups to constantly improve the Document Control Function
• Provide temporary cover as necessary for other Document Controllers during absences for holidays or sickness
• Remain flexible and adaptable to other tasks including additional hours due to mobilisations deadlines etc when required by the Document Control Manager and/or Project Manager

Qualification and Experience -

• Relevant secretarial or business administration qualification
• Document Control Foundation Course
• Relevant experience of ProArc and OpenText EDMS
• Proficient user of Microsoft MS office, Excel, Sharepoint, Powerpoint
• Relevant Experience of Subsea Projects
• Good standard of education
• Good level of experience in a Document Control role
• Ability to convey and enforce Document Control services
• Relevant experience of Subsea Projects
• Competent in use of PC based application: Windows, MS Office and Web portal tools and Adobe Acrobat
• Good understanding of Document Control applications, systems and processes
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good time management skills
• Capable of working autonomously
• Attention to detail
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Ability to cope with periods of intense workload

Senior Engineer

Petroplan are assisting a client of ours with their search for a Senior Engineer to join in office/offshore on a rolling contract basis. The client is an EPC operating within both O&G and renewables. They have offices in Aberdeen, Europe and Brazil.
As such we are recruiting for a Senior Engineer with 8 years' experience.. You must be someone who has demonstrated their interface skills, ability to work with contractors and the Client. You must have demonstrated experience in mooring design and installation.
You will become a key member of the team and have the exposure across Renewable and O&G Projects while being able to learn from a range of experienced Project and Senior Engineers within the business.
Location: Aberdeen, Denmark, Remote
Status: Contract
Salary: D.O.E
Core Competencies/Requirements:
* Minimum Engineering Degree from University/College in Offshore, Subsea, Naval, Marine, Mechanical, Civil or Similar.
* Minimum of 8 years' experience in the Offshore Energy industry.
* Design and analysis of mooring systems / assessment of floating wind foundations
* Experience with SPM/CALM Bouy/FPSO systems ??????

The Well Site Leader (WSL) has a key role in managing safety, people, and performance, at the well site. The WSL will report to the Well Superintendent and will:

• Understand risk and verify control measures are reviewed, discussed, and in place.
• Verify that well monitoring and well control procedures are understood and implemented.
• Assess the performance of the enduring risk barriers through Self-Verification (SV) and Oversight (OS).
• Foster and maintain a safety culture that allows others to speak up, stop-the-job, identify hazards, and manage change.
• Maintain OS of contractor Safety Management System (SMS).
• Verify that the well operations are performed safely, in compliance with the applicable regulations, and conform to Requirements.
• Promote timely reporting of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) incidents.
• Understand the capability of the team to execute the programme.
• Provide support, coaching, direction, and build relationships through active participation and communication with the crew in the execution of work (i.e., the WSL is to have a visible presence outside).
• Manage service contractors by providing service quality feedback.
• Verify that a process is in place to brief new and returning crew members as they arrive on the installation and/or rig regarding their duties, expectations for HSE, and operational performance.
• Demonstrate Values and behaviours by personal example that reinforces personal and process safety, continuous risk reduction, and performance improvement.
• Daily supervision of operations programme execution and witness of critical activities.
• Continuously monitor performance, collate lessons learned, and look for opportunities n.to enhance efficiency. Be prepared to take remedial actions.
• Verify After Action Reviews (AARs) are held at the well site to capture any lessons learned.
• Communicate clear performance expectations and ensure visibility of delivery versus the plan along with relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) (e.g., Non-Productive Time [NPT]).
• Accurately record daily time summary details in OpenWells reporting software, focus on the facts, and maintain oversight and control of cost (for contractors and third party).

Key Criteria:

• Minimum 10-years Well Site Leader (drilling supervisor) experience including drilling and completion operations.
• Ability to work offshore, North Sea UK inclusive of MIST, FOET, UK medical and CA EBS certification.
• Current (IADC or IWCF) supervisor-level drilling well control certification for extent of employment contract.
• The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Safety Critical Role competency assessment and agree a gap closure plan with their Well Superintendent.
