Senior Financial Analyst (Europe) - Solar / BESS Project
Investment & Project Finance
€75k - €85k DOE plus benefits

Petroplan are recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst to join an established Solar Project Developer to support their activities right the way across Europe.

Our client have a long history of successfully developing Utility Scale Solar and Battery Storage Projects, and are active in over 10 countries globally with the majority of their attention focussed within Europe.

They have recently secured new funding to grow their brand and pipeline in a number of new regions across both Western and Eastern Europe - meaning they can hire this position in any of their offices throughout the UK, Spain, France, Austria, Hungary or Poland.

Job Responsibilities:

* Analyze prospective investments and prepare the Investment Committee Memo, including analysis of commercial, financial, and operational characteristics, and contributing to the structuring, due diligence, and documentation of selected investment projects
* Adapt financial models to each project (VBA is a plus)
* Support Project Financing all over the financing process, from origination to closing
* Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
* Work directly with the business to create actionable insights for M&A deals
* Support Senior Management Team with in-depth financial and business analysis

Ideal qualifications/experience:

* MSc/Master finance or accounting
* Strong financial modelling skills
* 3 years of experience in energy industry (or project financing related)
* Strong accounting background
* The Ability to work under pressure
* The Ability to work with multiple teams across countries

Petroplan are pleased to be working alongside an international solar project developer and operator based in Vienna Austria, who are seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join the team working for large scale Solar Power Plants

Responsibilities:

* Manage the O&M services for PV plants
* Perform analysis, error detection and operational optimization
* Are first point of contact for customer inquiries on technical and operational issues
* Prioritize, plan and coordinate on-site services related to field service and subcontractors
* Document work assignments and reporting in digital systems as well as reporting to customers
* Manage internal service technicians and external service providers
* Process projects such as plant certification, retrofits and conversions to increase efficiency.

Requirements:

* A degree of a technical university or college of engineering (HTL) preferred electrical engineering or similar
* Professional experience in the solar industry, other renewable energies or in project management is an advantage
* Quality awareness and forward-looking action in recognizing and eliminating errors, defects and problems
* Experience of EPC and O&M contracts is an advantage
* Willingness to travel and work in an international environment
* Confident and communicative demeanor
* English in speech and writing
* Driving license of at least Type B.

Petroplan are pleased to be working alongside an international solar project developer and operator based in Vienna Austria, who are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team working on Battery Energy Storage Systems

The ideal candidate will be able to manage and develop projects assigned on battery market. The Project Developer will be likely to work on a range of projects over time, some earlier stage (acquisitions or greenfield) and some later stage. You may work on greenfield development or acquisitions of project rights.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects in development stage together with our international local teams
  • Implement technical solution
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with other departments, including engineering, procurement, and operations
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Report on project progress and provide regular updates.

Requirements:

  • A degree of a technical university or college of engineering (HTL) preferred electrical engineering or similar
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in the electrical power industry preferable solar industry
  • Technical knowledge of battery storage systems and their associated components
  • Understanding of EPC and O&M contracts.
  • Willingness to travel and work in an international environment
  • Fluent or professional in German and English (both written and spoken).
  • Driving license of at least Type B.

Petroplan are pleased to be working alongside an international solar project developer and operator based in Vienna Austria, who are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the team working on Large Scale Solar Power Plants.

The ideal candidate will need to have Electrical Engineering background with an extensive experience in EPC projects preferably in Solar industry and will work on the pre-construction phase of the plants so managing the tender process and supporting the design team will be key. You will also work alongside the operation team so to have understanding of O&M contracts is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage our international projects
  • Conduct project evaluations, site assessments and technical due diligences.
  • Design and plan solar power plants and battery energy storage systems
  • Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and manufactures
  • Perform technical analysis and simulations
  • Provide technical support of the project purchase / sale process
  • Participate in high level operations & maintenance activities.

Requirements:

  • A degree of a technical university or college of engineering (HTL) preferred electrical engineering or similar
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in the electrical power industry preferable solar industry
  • Expertise in battery storage systems is of advantage
  • Understanding of EPC and O&M contracts
  • Willingness to travel and work in an international environment
