Business Development Consultant - Joint Ventures
We are seeking a Business Development Consultant to join the Domestic Joint Venture Management Department (DJVMD).
The Business Development Consultant primary role is to participate in activities related to sourcing, screening, analyzing, planning and developing new growth opportunities related to the DJVMD portfolio of investments. Incumbent will also handle project proposals of varying scope and complexity involving the DJVMD portfolio of investments and valued above $100MM.
As the successful candidate you will have:
A bachelor degree in engineering from a recognized and approved program, with additional studies in business administration, economics, accounting or a related field preferred. An advanced degree is also highly desirable.
At least fifteen years of experience in business development in the refining industry.
Refinery experience in process technology, economics, feedstock and fuel production markets, and commercial management in a joint venture environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with excellent command of oral and written English.
Duties and responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Participate in the business development process from screening through closure.
Drive screening and validation activities to move growth proposals through the different stage gates.
Prioritize growth proposals against investment criteria and company downstream strategy.
Determine the scope and objectives of the projects, offering commercial and technical solutions that add value to the company.
Coordinate with corporate SMEs (Law, Finance, Corporate Planning, Management Services, Engineering, etc.) to ensure projects progress.
Work with internal organizations, refining domestic joint ventures and external investors to promote new growth opportunities.
Conduct reviews of proposals and present briefs to senior management.
Ensure that proper documentation is maintained on all the development's work
