Job Summary:
As a senior role, the job requires a degree of influence, mentorship, coaching and guidance to our lesser experienced team members.
In addition, the role requires collaboration cross functionally while demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate and influence decision making.
This position requires the ideal candidate to be able to provide strong governance over the finance business processes at the individual manufacturing sites while supporting key business function stakeholders in collecting, consolidating, and reporting on key financial KPI's and performance metrics. An essential part of the role is to maintain networks within the broader downstream operational teams, finance teams and performance networks.
The position requires an ability to identify, plan and implement key improvement initiatives in Finance to improve analysis quality, reduce reporting redundancies, increase productivity and improve cycle time resulting in significant business. The ideal candidate should be able to help the organization identify opportunities for improvement by analyzing data and conducting research.
Job Description and Key Deliverables:
1. Strong business analysis skills:
a. Business process improvements (Striving towards standardization and simplification in the reporting cycles)?
b. Support the delivery of various transformational improvement initiatives for Finance and Downstream.?
c. Actively participate and often lead the manufacturing Finance Modernization & digital initiatives.
d. Conduct wide-ranging business analysis in identifying and documenting requirements across our key manufacturing finance business processes.
2. Strong Data analytical Skills:
a. Develop actionable data models and data wrangling processes by integrating data extraction considerations into business solutions
b. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business process improvements and efficiencies across manufacturing financial reporting.
c. Communicate effectively with all stakeholder in ensuring transparent and clear understanding of financial reporting as well as simple and easy to understand reporting visualizations.
d. Support back-end data models in Power BI and Spotfire to ensure stability in digital analytical reporting tools
e. Support designing financial data model using SQL and DAX coding to help drive decision making and improve business performance transparency.
3. Project Management skills:
a. Actively engage and project manage large financial modernization initiatives.
b. Actively seek opportunities of deploying AI and digital analytics in various facets of financial reporting (i.e. data wrangling, data modelling, data gathering etc.)
Technical Skills:
*Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering
*CPA/MBA considered an asset
*Advanced knowledge in Power BI, SQL and other digital analytics software (Required)
*SAP Knowledge considered an asset
*Hands-on experience building complex Power BI reports using various data sources and data integrations
*Proficiency in creation of reporting data visualization solution and experience in building technical and process documentation requirements.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills in order to work collaboratively various stakeholders across the organization

Financial Analyst
Location: Calgary

This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely reporting of the company's corporate activities including company-wide G&A analysis and reporting. This includes understanding a consolidated view of both managed and landed G&A costs and company allocations. The successful candidate will work closely with the company's corporate stakeholders to provide meaningful monthly spend analysis and assist with accounting and forecast activities. Other responsibilities include preparation of the monthly cost allocations report and collecting and updating G&A allocation rates on a quarterly basis.
The successful candidate will be a team player who strives for excellence in reporting accuracy and demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills while working within a team environment. Deliverables:
*Liaise with various teams and gather information to assist in creation and maintenance of cost centres and the recording of monthly journal entries and accruals.
*Coordination and preparation of monthly and quarterly general and administrative reports, pre-and-post allocation and explain variances to budget and forecast.
*Prepare and update forecast information in the SAP Business Planning and Consolidation tool and actively participate in preparation of the annual budget.
*Coordinate the update of G&A allocation rates from cost center owners quarterly.
*Preparation of the G&A allocations cost mapping report monthly.
*Act as gate keeper for the creation of new G&A cost centers to ensure they are created consistent within the defined rules while still meeting business requirements.
*Review consolidated financial statements to ensure they appropriately reflect the results related to the Company's corporate activities.
*Participate in the development and improvement of business processes.
*Support overall compliance with SOX processes and controls.
*Liaise with external auditors as necessary.
*Perform other duties as assigned.

Senior Credit Analyst

Description:
This position is responsible for managing daily counterparty exposures and business relationships within the controls and credit risk appetite set out in the Credit Policy, Standard & Procedures. Success in this role requires strong technical financial analytical skills, initiates collaboration, cultivates and manages counterparty and internal stakeholder relationships, manages business risk within established policies and procedures, and fosters good business acumen. The role requires the independent ability to complete complex credit review requests, quickly decision counterparty credit limits, ratings and terms, provide input on contract negotiations, mitigate with collateral, monitor and produce reporting from various ETRM's and Credit tools, and ownership of quantitative scoring models. This role will take ownership of individual counterparty relationships and ensure that all business segments are monitored and supported within the approved guidelines of the Credit Policy, Standard & Procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
*Review and ensure daily credit exposures are within pre-approved counterparty credit limits and tenors, and manage all business segments in compliance with the Credit Policy, Standard and Procedures
*Perform ongoing credit intelligence and interpret internal and external market and business challenges, and recommend best practice to manage counterparty and credit risk portfolio
*Complete complex credit reviews for recommendation and approval by the Supervisor and Senior Finance Leadership Team
*Review and provide inputs towards daily, monthly and quarterly reporting and monitoring requirements
*Own, monitor, and manage the quantitative credit scoring models and benchmarking for the portfolio
*Negotiate and monitor counterparty and portfolio risk mitigation strategies and business contracts language
*Solid understanding of commodity trading and markets including the counterparties involved.
*A primary subject matter expert and enabler at the working level available to liaison with the business on new counterparty requests, credit requirements and deal structures
*Detail-oriented with knowledge of ETRM systems and trade data structure
