Description:

The Alberta (AER) and British Columbia (OGC) collect well drilling, completion, well servicing and abandonment data in order to maintain an accurate record of wellbores in the provinces. This wellbore data is used by the AER/OGC for its own use and by industry to ensure operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

The Wells Regulatory Reporting Technician is responsible for analyzing and reporting the provincial regulatory required data for drilling, completions, well servicing and abandonment operations. This includes:

* Providing a review of the data accuracy of reports in the data collection database, Wellview.
* Collaborate with reservoir, drilling, completions, well servicing and abandonment engineers to resolve data discrepancies.
* From Wellview, create the operational government reports with the required AER/OGC data.
* Submission of the operational reports to governments using their online reporting systems.
* Analyze, update and maintain the internal tracking systems.
* Respond to government related requests.
* Liaison with the wells team, asset teams, well testing, production accounting, and Wellview groups.
* Provide knowledge sharing and support on special projects, as required

Requirements:

* Basic knowledge of regulatory (AER, OGC) guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications

* Minimum five years of industry related experience
* Proficient in AER-DDS & OneStop, Wellview, MS Office programs, Petrinex, Accumap
* Post-secondary education such as SAIT's Upstream Petroleum Certificate, would be an asset
* Strong communication, organizational and time management skills
* Good government liaison skills
* Proactive with a strong team approach, shows good judgement and professionalism

Location:

* Office Calgary, Alberta. Due to databases and connectivity speed this position is office based.

Description: Project advisor reporting to Manager; Site Operations; Canadian Refined Products. The Project Advisor will be involved in small Capital projects management support and Cost controls & Reporting across Canadian Refined Products construction team.

Responsibilities
* Small capital projects management (HVAC, Paving, Roofing, Site Re-Branding, Branded Dealers)
* AFE creation and cost management across Construction team

Reporting directly to the Manager Asset Integrity this position supports for the development, improvement and sustainment of the Facility and Piping Assessments in support of the Conventional Asset Integrity Management Program.
This position will:
* Provide technical support to the Conventional BU Asset Integrity Specialists by providing subject matter expertise relating to the corrosion circuits, inspection strategies, maintenance, repair and failure analysis of pressure vessels and piping in upstream oil and gas facilities.
* Work with the Asset Integrity Data Management team to ensure accurate, consistent and functional records are maintained for the BU's pressure equipment.
* Develop and maintain Piping Integrity Management Program documentation.
* Develop and participate in training and awareness presentations to diverse teams within the Conventional BU.
* Participate in networking and knowledge sharing activities with peers.
Provide technical support for Turnaround planning and execution as required.

1. Work in conjunction with the Asset Integrity Team, Engineering and Operations to develop pressure equipment and pressure piping:
* Integrity inspection strategies
* Integrity threat assessments and corrosion circuits.
* Integrity program supporting procedures and best practices
* Integrity program and supporting procedure training
* Deadleg register and management program.

2. Work with the Asset Integrity Team providing mentorship on:
* Integrity program, procedures, and practices
* Regulatory and code requirements
* Inspection strategies, planning and techniques
* Inspection reporting and integrity assessment
* Deterioration mechanisms
* Failure analysis
3. Maintain, optimize, and report on the plant and field asset integrity programs including:
* Non-destructive examinations of pressure equipment, tank and pressure piping
* Non pressure and pressure equipment integrity inspection planning and execution
* Plant & field shutdown integrity inspection, assessment and repair coordination
* Corrosion monitoring and mitigation measures
4. Support the development and execution of scheduled pressure equipment, tank and piping integrity inspections.

Overall, Job Summary:
As part of the Maintenance, Reliability and Asset Integrity Department, this role provides technical leadership and asset integrity support to Conventional Operations. Asset Integrity includes oversight of the pressure equipment, pressure piping, tank, and pipeline integrity programs.

Job Description Summary:
Senior level. Responsible for complex assignments and specializes in capital project estimation. Works with limited supervision and provides guidance to more junior staff to implement and evaluate assigned work. Viewed as senior site expert in Project Controls.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide a full range of cost estimating services involving a full technical understanding of construction estimation.
  • Direct support to Projects, or Programs.
  • Collaborates with project management and teams on matters relating to project controls estimating, other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Works on projects that are low to medium in risk and complexity.
  • Lead end to end Estimating processes on project initiatives less than $100MM.
  • Understand fundamentals of project estimation, and develop estimates from start to finish.
  • Ensures project estimates use IPA and internal benchmarking tools.
  • Advises on the conversion of the estimate into a Control Budget.
  • Supports estimate requirements for Gate Review and AFE appropriation documentation
  • Supports the development of business cases and provide economic analysis.
  • Analyze Foreign Exchange impacts to the project.
  • Leads and prepares cost estimates for change orders, trends, and extra work orders.
  • Challenges change proposals from Contractors.
  • Participates in Technical & Commercial bid analysis of packages and construction contracts.
  • Proficient in synthesizing Benchmarking Analytics
  • Understands and recommends what types of benchmarking need to be done at the various ADEM (Asset Development and Execution Model) phases of a project.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent). Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering or in a related field.
  • 7 years of Project Controls (or equivalent) related experience.
  • 10 years of estimating experience in Mining, O & G or other industries.
  • AACEI (Assn. for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) Certified Cost Professional or Certified Estimating Professional (recommended).
  • Covers positions at the senior level within the project control function with specialized working knowledge. Specialized skills & knowledge are applied to complex studies & problems.
  • Provide value-added solutions with stakeholders, including external vendor relationships.
