Working with the Digital and Information Technology (D&IT) supply chain category management team, you will lead and coordinate the development and implementation of subcategory and sourcing strategies and initiatives, develop and negotiate contracts, and manage contracts through their lifecycle

You will use your expertise to:

  • Lead utilization of D&IT category profile of all risk/complexity levels, and actively participate in cross functional team meetings to collate demand, evaluate business requirements, and identify optimization opportunities
  • Develop go to market strategy, bid evaluation and selection criteria for all levels of complexity, integrating market intelligence from historical supplier performance and contract compliance information
  • Develop negotiation strategy and lead the evaluation of and develop recommendations for the commercial structures of high risk/high complexity contracts, including but not limited to software end user license agreements, maintenance-support agreements, outsourced service level agreements, hardware, and cloud-based services.
  • Complete review of terms and conditions and engage Client's legal, insurance, credit risk, and cyber security teams as required.
  • Run effective implementation and roll out of negotiated contract terms and conditions to peers and business unit. Lead change management process for contracts and assist more junior professionals in conducting this process; lead contract close-out process and ensure supplier performance feedback is gathered for future reference and manage performance issues
  • Ensure that commercial and business requirements are met, with performance issues addressed in a timely fashion at the senior leadership level

Job Overview: Metallurgy Engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills, acting as a discipline Engineer in a Multimillion dollars portfolio of Sustainable projects . Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide technical support and review welding-related documents, including Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs), Procedure Qualification Records (PQRs), Welder Qualification Records for offsite and onsite fabrication. This includes structure / piping / pipeline / pressure vessels projects considering the applicable technical welding standards (CTS-0903, CTS-0220, CTS-0910, CTS-0909) and relevant CSA, ABSA, ERCB (EUB), CWB and ASME code requirements;
  • Provide technical supports on welding alloys and Corrosion Resistant Alloys;
  • Provide technical support related to material selection and metallurgy-related inquiries for the BUP projects in all stages, including vendor documentation review (e.g., problem definitions and project development, concept selection, DBM/FEED, detail design, etc.);
  • Analyze material test reports (MTRs) and NDTs and Inspection plans and provides recommendations;
  • Work closely with Fabrication / Constructor and clarify technical questions related to welding for compliance to Standards;
  • Promptly respond to BUP project technical deviations (TDNs) and requests for information (RFIs) related to materials, welding, and welding procedures;
  • Has a strong technical background in welding technologies and applications. Minimum of 5 years with proven welding experience;
  • Has field/plant operation support experience and understands the most common damage mechanisms in the Oil and Gas refineries and Upgraders to be able to propose practical, fit-for-purpose solutions to problems and understand the impact on operating assets;
  • Has good communication skills with other disciplines and project business personnel;
  • Has good organizational skills. The incumbent need to fill out and maintain the work request resolution log of , track the hours allocated to each project, and maintain a scorecard for the evaluation of the EPCs and Fabricators.
  • Regular site visits are not expected / required except on special occasions if necessary and justified by business needs (e.g., introduction to the team, etc.).

Required Qualifications: Must be an APEGA registered Professional Engineer.

Experience and Education:

  • Must be Metallurgy or Materials Engineer / or Mechanical Engineer with Master in Metallurgy / Materials Engineering
  • Must be a Candidate with 15 years of professional experience as a minimum .
  • Field experience in Maintenance and Reliability is highly desirable.
  • Oil gas experience is highly desirable.

Job Overview: Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, the Sr. Project Controls Advisor will provide support for all phases of the project and/or event lifecycle including, but not limited to, project set-up, estimating, funding, performance analysis & close-out.   • Prepare and maintain monthly progress reporting
  • Prepare preliminary monthly reporting on incurred cost and schedule forecast for Project (and/or) execution Manager's review and approval

Summary of the ST&O Transformation Program
The focus of the program is to transform Client's Supply, Trading & Optimization (ST&O's) operating model, processes and systems to better optimize Client's Mid-stream value chain. This will be achieved by taking a merchant approach to Client's equity Mid-stream assets by actively managing equity risk positions (inventory, asset utilization etc) in a timely, transparent and measured manner.
The program as a whole will change the culture, systems, and processes within ST&O to drive focus, transparency and measurement of ST&O's optimization of the assets in the Mid-stream Operating Segment. Under the program a new corporate "Mid-stream Operating Segment" was created, and associated reporting will highlight where along the value chain value is being created. This focus will also help ST&O to identify where along the value chain it may be most prudent to invest.
Project Manager, Refined Products Trading workstream
The Refined Products Trading Workstream is an exciting initiative supporting the ongoing stand-up of the new Refined Products Trading business within Client's existing Supply, Trading & Optimization (ST&O) organization. Reporting to the General Manager of the ST&O Transformation Program, you will lead all aspects of the implementation of new products trading activities. You will be working with senior individuals from the STO business unit, various finance/accounting functions, middle office functions, and supporting business units such as Tax and Legal to implement required changes across all to enable high value add trading activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate amongst multiple functions the implementation of new commercial activities into the end-to-end deal flow:
    • Solicit support and create a subject matter working team
    • Manage the SME working team from ideation to inception
    • Work with change to develop and communicate a robust work plan
  • Responsible for delivering the project on-time, on-budget, and with a high-quality outcome for the Client:
    • Develop and manage the project timeline/budget/scope
    • Provide regular project updates to workstream steering team, sponsors, and the project management office
    • Support workstream through roadblocks and setbacks
  • Provide leadership on business process changes within STO to support the ongoing buildup of supporting functions to the Products Trading business (I.e. scheduling, LP, back office, middle office, etc.):

Required Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

The focus of the program is to transform our clients Supply, Trading & Optimization (ST&O's) operating model, processes and systems to better optimize their Mid-stream value chain. This will be achieved by taking a merchant approach to the equity Mid-stream assets by actively managing equity risk positions (inventory, asset utilization etc.) in a timely, transparent and measured manner.

The program as a whole will change the culture, systems, and processes within ST&O to drive focus, transparency and measurement of ST&O's optimization of the assets in the Mid-stream Operating Segment. Under the program a new corporate "Mid-stream Operating Segment" was created, and associated reporting will highlight where along the value chain value is being created. This focus will also help ST&O to identify where along the value chain it may be most prudent to invest.

Business Analyst
The Refined Products Trading Workstream is an exciting initiative supporting the ongoing stand-up of the new Refined Products Trading business within the existing Crude trading platform. Reporting to the workstream lead, you will support the scoping, requirements gathering, design and implementation of new products trading activities. You will be working with individuals from the Supply, Trading and Optimization business unit, various finance/accounting functions, middle office functions, and supporting business units such as Tax and Legal to implement required changes across the businss all to enable high-value add trading activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate amongst multiple functions the implementation of new transfer prices into a database system called MarketView:
    • Evaluation of market-based prices relative to historical wholesale sales prices
    • Work with change to develop and communicate a robust sustainment plan
  • Provide guidance/coordination around business process changes within STO to support the ongoing buildup of supporting functions to the Products Trading business (I.e. scheduling, LP, back office, middle office, etc.):
    • Solicit support and create a subject matter working team
    • Build on the current state processes and roles and responsibilities work done thus far
    • Identify required data and process requirements to streamline service offerings
    • Collaborate with appropriate functions to build out new processes and clarify roles & responsibilities
  • Promote, educate, and support the workstream change/communication strategy amongst numerous business units outside of STO by participating in:
    • Quarterly town hall sessions
    • Ad hoc awareness sessions
    • Monthly digital media releases
  • Provide content/guidance to the project team creating a learning database of business and role specific information
  • Duties as required by the project


Required Qualifications:

Experience and Education:

  • Entrepreneurial experience working at or founding a startup welcome
  • 5 years' experience within downstream oil and gas or a bank, preferably with trading office (front, middle, or back office) experience
  • Professional project designation (Prosci, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, PMI-PBA) or MBA preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in business, economics, or engineering



Skills and Knowledge:

  • You are naturally curious and have the capability to rapidly learn new functions within a business
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to interact and provide expert advice to director level audience
  • You are a self-starter and work well in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work effectively within a cross functional team (tax, legal, finance, operations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of refined products and subsequent commodity markets
  • Understanding of gasoline, diesel, jet fuel pricing
  • You are organized and able to work on parallel activities
  • Must know how to do business process mapping
  • Must be computer literate with proficiency in Visio, PowerBI, Excel and MS Office suite
