Overview

This position is responsible for supporting Leak Detection Initiatives and ongoing Capital Projects.
Duties
*This position is accountable for configuring, maintaining, and quality assurance testing leak detection Computational Pipeline Monitoring (CPM) systems and related technologies.
*Responsible for supporting Leak Detection Subject Matter Experts (LD SMEs) in the development and execution of implementation plans, as well as the development and update of project documentation.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Works under the direction of Leak Detection subject matter experts and Project Managers.
  • Performs statistical analysis of large data sets.
  • Performs routine maintenance tasks on leak detection models which includes reviews of alarms,
  • Displays, overrides, model diagnostics, and data files.
  • Performs datapath commissioning.
  • Performs updates to model configurations.
  • Creates/reviews/updates documention.
  • Develops and updates rollout plans.
  • Creates/updates procedures and training materials.
  • Provides forecasts for work tasks, and provides progress updates.


Qualifications

  • A Professional Engineer, or an equivalent Systems Analyst, with a minimum of 4 years of hydraulic and computer programming experience, that includes at least 1 year directly related to computational pipeline modeling.
  • Knowledge in pipeline hydraulics.
  • Previous experience using real-time transient model software and/or statistical modeling software.
  • Experience working with analyzing large data sets.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Effective communication, facilitation, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work remotely.

  • Experience with Synergi Pipeline Simulator.

Duties

Job Overview
This is a great opportunity to put your accounting and analysis expertise to work in a dynamic accounting environment for bitumen production and marketing.
Duties

  • Execute the Fort Hills (FH) partnership month end cycle, including entries related to production costs, inventory, purchase/sales, intercompany transactions, and intercompany profit eliminations
  • Prepare bitumen invoices and related accounting entries for production
  • Work closely with the supply, trading and optimization front office to understand and record sales, purchases, and related intercompany transactions
  • Prepare monthly stewardship reporting and analysis from a gross/segment perspective for key stakeholders in Finance
  • Support the SAP S4 implementation as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for FH crude accounting


Qualifications

  • A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (legacy CA, CMA, or CGA)
  • Experience and Education:
  • 8 years of experience working with hydrocarbon accounting transactions within an inter-company environment
  • An Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Finance or equivalent education
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and analysis skills
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Knowledge of Commodity Trading and Risk Management (CTRM) systems
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to facilitate cross-functional working meetings
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to partner effectively with remote teams and key business contacts

  • To align with COVID-19 protocols the position will begin with working from home and transitioning to working at site at Base Plant
  • Primary work activities will take place at the Steepbank Mine Complex, while occasional field tours will take place in various work locations within Base Plant
  • Coordinator will be embedded within the Field Services Group


Qualifications

  • Individual should have 3-5 years of relevant project coordination, execution, and field logistics experience
  • Individual is to be highly motivated and detail orientated
  • Previous site knowledge is a strong asset

Duties
* Deliver daily reports and critique and validate bi-weekly contractor deliverables.
* Monitor and validate progress against plan.
* Deliver accurate and consistent productivity reports and actions.
* Monitor progress of construction and verifies progress payment certificates
* Lead a multidiscipline team to ensure the pipeline project is constructed in a cost effective and efficient manner in accordance to the governing code, corporate specifications, best practices & regulatory requirements
* Monitor contractor's compliance to HSE regulations to ensure consistency with Operational Integrity Management System (HOIMS) elements
* Ensure all construction contractors, and other third parties construction activities are performed and meet contractual requirements and obligations while adhering to all applicable policies, procedures and safe work practices
* Ensure compliance to drawings, codes and ITPs
* Facilitates coordination between Contractors and CMT and other entities (C and SU/Operations/Drilling and Completions etc.)
* Participates in and supports System Completion process (Walk Downs, Inspections, Testing)
* Verifies and authorizes cost reimbursable activities of the Contractors for approved change requests

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an applicable technical diploma program, and/or combination of education and relevant experience
  • Supervisory experience in heavy industrial oil & gas construction project management
  • Experience in large diameter pipeline construction and operation of gas and oil production facilities/pipelines
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents including contracts, drawings, specifications, subcontracts
  • Familiarity with relevant construction codes, standards, and practices
    Computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications
  • Valid Drivers License
  • HSE and Quality inspection background
