Technical Writer

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Work closely with engineers and specialists to create and publish management system documentation, technical standards, policies, procedures, and other documentation to support the safe and reliable operations of energy companies.
* Understand and translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation targeting a wide range of audiences.
* Ensure that management system documentation follow established writing rules, company standards, and legal requirements.
* Create document templates and other internal processes and standards, leveraging existing content.
* Perform copy/edit and provide suggestions for improving structure, presentation, and delivery of content to end-users to resolve information gaps and inconsistencies.
* Create and update technical illustrations, graphics, and job aids as needed.
* Provide guidance on technical writing principles to Safety and Reliability team, as needed
* Provide suggestions for continuous improvement of existing department standards and processes.
* Manage multiple streams of work and parallel deadlines
* Demonstrate strong work ethic in all areas

Qualifications:

* 7 years of technical communications experience in an engineering, IT, or technical environment
* Solid understanding of single-sourcing principles and structured and topic-based authoring.
* Experience creating deliverables in PDF, HTML, and other output formats.
* DITA authoring experience and experience with oXygen XML Editor is strongly desired.
* Familiarity with version control systems or component content management systems (Ixiasoft DITA CMS preferred).
* Experience with Adobe Technical Communication Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
* Familiarity with SharePoint, XML, HTML, CSS is strongly desired.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a sharing, supporting team environment.

We are a full-time, multi-discipline, industrial emergency response team looking for the right candidate to join us as a Emergency Response Officer. This roll will report to the onsite Emergency Services Lead and provide a variety of emergency response services to our onsite clientele. Some of these services include leading emergency response crews, providing medical care, inspecting onsite safety equipment, providing fire safety inspections and acting as incident command in the absence of the Emergency Services Lead.

Summary of Responsibilities

* Act as subject matter expert for corrosion and metallurgical engineering related to subsea equipment;

Responsibilities:
The role resides in the Integrity Data Assessment team in Integrity which focuses on risk modelling and assessment, data governance, and software administration for all types of assets in Integrity.
This contract position will be dedicated to a multi-year integration project to integrate Legacy Union TIMP pipelines into the Pipeline Risk and Integrity Management (PRIM) software; the team is looking for a highly motivated and technically sound Engineering Analyst to perform the following duties:
* Conduct detailed checks of converted pipeline dataset to ensure they meet reporting standards and accurately reflect the pipeline specifications * Review Engineering drawings, bill of materials, other company records to validate pipeline specifications * Review and assess pipeline Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) records and digitize pertinent information using the PRIM software package.
* Create and manipulate GIS dataset using satellite imagery and basic tools in ESRI ArcMap software package * Obtain a technical understanding of Integrity documents and processes to drive improvements to the data supporting Integrity and Risk assessments.
MUST HAVE qualifications:
* Technology diploma, Engineering degree, or experience with Enbridge records * Ability to read and comprehend technical documents, engineering drawings, and as-built construction drawings * Technically inclined with ability to understand and solve problems by formulating conclusions based on various data inputs * A high level of attention to detail and capable of quickly and independently learning new processes * Strong sense of organization and planning * Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ability to self-learn new software platforms
NICE TO HAVE qualifications:
