* Understanding the business needs and able to articulate that information into technical documents.
* Understanding of data integration, data quality and extraction, transformation and load (ETL): Understands data quality, data profiling and ETL tools.
* Understanding database performance for load and retrieval of data. This should include indexing, partitioning, views, data materialization, virtualization, and propagating data to other systems (if necessary).
* Design integration solutions to adhere to the data framework/environment as defined by the Data Architect
* Mapping from one or more sources to a target requires documentation on the process, quality of the data, anticipated values and any other technical notes required for data integration projects.
* Complies with the organization's data integration best practices and standards.
* Manage the scheduling and support of data integration jobs; Analysis of defects/failures; Impact analysis of source changes.
* Manage functional and integration testing of various data integrations and database components; document test cases/scenarios.
* Collaboration with the business, its applications, solutions, Data Architect and with other data integrators and governance teams to understand the implications of respective architectures and to maximize the value of information across the organization.
* Maintain current with data integration technologies and identify/review available technologies that would aid in improving data management processes.

* Minimum of 5 years' experience supporting databases and ETL
* Proficient using Oracle, PL/SQL, Python, SQL Server, Teradata
* Experience in geology, geophysics, time series, production operations and/or reservoir engineering data management is an asset.
* Proficient using Microsoft Office, Visio, Jira, DevOps
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* A good understanding in analytical tools such as Spotfire and Power BI
* A good understanding of Agile Methodology
* A good understanding of the concepts behind data management in relational databases as well as data lakes

The Mechanical Engineer facilitates the design and development of technical projects and reports from a mechanical perspective, ensuring the quality, integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance of projects.     • Utilizing the Management of Change (MOC) procedure to assess and progress temporary and permanent changes on the plant
    • Preparing, reviewing and maintaining mechanical standards and specifications for projects
    • Managing contract engineering services related to mechanical modifications and upgrades
    • Providing mechanical and piping designs for modifications and upgrades made to the plant
    • Reviewing and verifying the mechanical design integrity of equipment
    • Supporting materials selections to minimize costs and maximize facility reliability and maintainability
    • Supporting the Maintenance and Operations departments with respect to equipment maintenance issues and emergency changes
    • Ensuring pipe specifications for the site remain current
    • Ensuring compliance with Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) requirements related to pressure equipment, and actively promoting compliance with Methanex policies, procedures, and applicable standards with engineering, construction, and construction support contractors
    • Leading or participating in site hazard reviews and tap root analysis activities
    • Actively participating as a member of the Local Reliability Team



Requirements

  • In order to qualify for this role, you will need an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, along with previous mechanical engineering and project management experience.

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) is preferred, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • You have familiarity with industry codes and regulations and mechanical engineering practices, along with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Accounting/Inventory Analyst

As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to learn the current processes in the current SAP system (ECC6) and then apply these in the new SAP S4 cloud system. This role will also provide the opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of our refinery business, refined products trading, and SAP S4. The role offers significant learning opportunities in understanding our integrated value chain and the refined products markets.

You will use your expertise to:

  • Create the monthly report of crude and refined inventory valuation based on First-in First-out (FIFO) methodology and for the quarterly net realizable value (NRV) for the refinery and product supply
  • Analyze crude and refined product inventory impacts
  • Support the SAP conversion of inventory processes to the new SAP S4 cloud system and participate in future system and process improvements
  • Participate in reshaping the current role post SAP S4 go live to include due diligence and analysis on all the revenue and expenses associated with the refined products deal cycle, thereby expending your breadth of knowledge of our business
  • Respond to non-routine requests for financial information and analysis
  • Prepare working capital analysis for supply and inventory related accounts
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Description
This contractor position will be located working remotely with business trips to the engineering offices in Toronto, Canada and to the jobsite in Miami, Arizona.
Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of assigned large/complex structural engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.

Essential Functions:

  • Apply working knowledge of structural engineering principles to assigned engineering projects, using sound engineering, data measurement & collection, calculations, analysis, interpretation and problem solving.
  • Review, interpret, comment and approve structural engineering deliverables. Review reports for structural design projects and provide recommendations to site team and to project consultants.
  • Lead the structural efforts on large/complex engineering projects, which may include the development of new or modification to existing systems and processes, including the responsibility of approving work from other engineering disciplines.
  • Manage projects and serve as a structural subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex projects.
