Description:
Role: Gas&Power Market Risk Analyst
Key Accountabilities:
* Produce, analyze, and explain daily profit & loss, and exposures for natural gas and power positions
* Work with risk control colleagues and traders in ensuring compliance to Risk Management Policy
* Ensure a strong control environment within Client's trading groups, particularly trading limits (VaR, term, fixed price)
* Validating forward price curves and pricing analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
* Strong focus on process improvements, streamlining the reporting process
* Work closely with back office accounting staff for month end settlements
* Daily interaction with traders, schedulers, risk analysts, I.T., and accounting groups

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor Degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Mathematics
* CFA, PRM, ERP would be considered an asset
* Risk Management experience in the areas of natural gas or power

-Providing Support to the Scoping, Engineering and Setup of a pervasive wireless vibration monitoring program
-Mapping control system tag data to analytic inputs/metrics by reviewing P&IDs and Historian Databases
-Collecting and reviewing engineering documentation for equipment specifications and system information
-Provide Innovative ideas to support asset performance management initiatives
-Providing updates to APM program team, with support to schedule, scope and budget management
-Coordinating, directing and reviewing the work of vendors and engineering contractors
-Identifying risks and issues within your area of responsibility

Main Skills/Qualifications Required:

What You Will Do
* Working independently, able to find, deliver technical solutions and complete custom complex engineering and energy efficiency calculations for assigned customers primarily Industrial accounts.

* Proactive outreach to assigned accounts, conduct site walk-throughs to assist customers with the identification, business screening and technical evaluation of potential energy conservation opportunities to improve operational efficiencies through basic building and thermal system audits in pursuit of natural gas savings.
* Timely implementation of projects into DSM tracking systems of all potential, active and completed projects that are verifiable and capable of withstanding the audit and verification process and provide specific support during customer audit verification process as required. Provide accurate and timely personal outlooks and forecasts for current year energy conservation delivery results.
* Working in collaboration with internal departments to complete all application requirements.
* Develop, update and execute annual account plans for assigned territory and customers.

Who You Are
You have the following education & experience:
* Post-secondary degree in Engineering (preferred mechanical, chemical or electrical) with minimum 6 years' experience in project engineering, technical sales or project management in industrial environments.
* Membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or within Canadian jurisdiction.
* Experience with energy and process efficiency projects for Industrial facilities.
* Self-motivated, self-starter, able to operate independently but work with team of like-minded professionals.
* Customer and results focused.
* Certified Energy Manager would be an asset.
Working Conditions:
* This role is a mix of office based (60%) and field based (40%) and requires travelling mainly within Ontario including overnight. Valid driver's license with a responsible driving record is needed.
