HR Reporting Advisor
Contract initially until end of year, with a view to extend

You will use your expertise to:
Key tasks:

• Develop and maintain data collection tool on a daily/weekly basis to support Human Resources team members including scheduled data refresh, extraction of working files and change / enhancements (requires close collaboration and alignment with all HR reporting to ensure consistency and accuracy)
• Providing data process support for HR Operations team related to data management and integrity and technical use of the tool
• Engagement with HR Stakeholders on data needs based on unique requirements per project
• Provide custom data and reporting to track progress of each initiative
• Ensure data aligns to standard metrics and also adheres to strict privacy standards. Support the infrastructure used to store the data and tool

- Evaluate data and report requests, working closely with stakeholders to refine and deliver the required output
- Manage the intake and prioritize conflicting high priority requests
- Analyze and profile large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets with a variety of tools
- Perform in-depth analysis with a continuous improvement mindset to identify trends and/or causal relationships to provide relevant, credible and actionable recommendations used to monitor and measure the effective and efficient delivery of end-to-end processes
- Participate in key projects providing input on how to best leverage the information available to assist in building requirements and/or validating business assumptions

• Five years of reporting and analytical experience
• Advanced proficiency with HCM custom reporting, Power BI visualization and dataflows, Microsoft Excel and Power Query
• Preference for experience with workday custom reporting

Description:
Role: Gas&Power Market Risk Analyst

Key Accountabilities:
* Produce, analyze, and explain daily profit & loss, and exposures for natural gas and power positions
* Work with risk control colleagues and traders in ensuring compliance to Risk Management Policy
* Ensure a strong control environment within Client's trading groups, particularly trading limits (VaR, term, fixed price)
* Validating forward price curves and pricing analysis, ensuring data integrity and accuracy

Education and Experience:

Actual Title: Energy Efficiency Engineer

What You Will Do
* Working independently, able to find, deliver technical solutions and complete custom complex engineering and energy efficiency calculations for assigned customers primarily Industrial accounts.
* Establish and build operational and technical relationships with customers at all levels in the organization aimed at building long-term trust and commitment from the customer to achieve natural gas usage reduction targets.

* Working in collaboration with internal departments to complete all application requirements.

Who You Are
You have the following education & experience:
* Post-secondary degree in Engineering (preferred mechanical, chemical or electrical) with minimum 6 years' experience in project engineering, technical sales or project management in industrial environments.
* Membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or within Canadian jurisdiction.
* Experience with energy and process efficiency projects for Industrial facilities.
* Self-motivated, self-starter, able to operate independently but work with team of like-minded professionals.
* Customer and results focused.
* Certified Energy Manager would be an asset.

Working Conditions:
* This role is a mix of office based (60%) and field based (40%) and requires travelling mainly within Ontario including overnight. Valid driver's license with a responsible driving record is needed.

The Mechanical Engineer facilitates the design and development of technical projects and reports from a mechanical perspective, ensuring the quality, integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance of projects.   • Utilizing the Management of Change (MOC) procedure to assess and progress temporary and permanent changes on the plant
  • Preparing, reviewing and maintaining mechanical standards and specifications for projects
  • Managing contract engineering services related to mechanical modifications and upgrades
  • Providing mechanical and piping designs for modifications and upgrades made to the plant
  • Reviewing and verifying the mechanical design integrity of equipment
  • Supporting materials selections to minimize costs and maximize facility reliability and maintainability
  • Supporting the Maintenance and Operations departments with respect to equipment maintenance issues and emergency changes
  • Ensuring pipe specifications for the site remain current
  • Ensuring compliance with Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA) requirements related to pressure equipment, and actively promoting compliance with Methanex policies, procedures, and applicable standards with engineering, construction, and construction support contractors
  • Leading or participating in site hazard reviews and tap root analysis activities
  • Actively participating as a member of the Local Reliability Team

Requirements

• In order to qualify for this role, you will need an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, along with previous mechanical engineering and project management experience.

• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) is preferred, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

• You have familiarity with industry codes and regulations and mechanical engineering practices, along with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Accounting/Inventory Analyst

Location: Calgary

Contract: initally until December, with a good chance of extension.

As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to learn the current processes in the current SAP system (ECC6) and then apply these in the new SAP S4 cloud system. This role will also provide the opportunity to gain deeper knowledge of our refinery business, refined products trading, and SAP S4. The role offers significant learning opportunities in understanding our integrated value chain and the refined products markets.

You will use your expertise to:

• Create the monthly report of crude and refined inventory valuation based on First-in First-out (FIFO) methodology and for the quarterly net realizable value (NRV) for the refinery and product supply
• Analyze crude and refined product inventory impacts
• Support the SAP conversion of inventory processes to the new SAP S4 cloud system and participate in future system and process improvements
• Participate in reshaping the current role post SAP S4 go live to include due diligence and analysis on all the revenue and expenses associated with the refined products deal cycle, thereby expending your breadth of knowledge of our business
• Respond to non-routine requests for financial information and analysis
• Prepare working capital analysis for supply and inventory related accounts
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Work with distribution and supply to ensure month-end accruals are booked in the system

Senior Structural Engineer (Contract)
Description
This contractor position will be located working remotely with business trips to the engineering offices in Toronto, Canada and to the jobsite in Miami, Arizona.
Provide technical advice and guidance for all phases of assigned large/complex structural engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.

Essential Functions:

• Apply working knowledge of structural engineering principles to assigned engineering projects, using sound engineering, data measurement & collection, calculations, analysis, interpretation and problem solving.
• Review, interpret, comment and approve structural engineering deliverables. Review reports for structural design projects and provide recommendations to site team and to project consultants.
• Lead the structural efforts on large/complex engineering projects, which may include the development of new or modification to existing systems and processes, including the responsibility of approving work from other engineering disciplines.
• Manage projects and serve as a structural subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex projects.
• Oversight and guidance of the structural department of an engineering company, construction planning and construction supervision.
• Provide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations
• Contribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated engineering areas
• Develop and/or review scopes of work, evaluate proposals, draft formalized internal requests for funding.
• May evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipment as approved and required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related Engineering discipline and eight (8) years discipline related engineering experience, OR
• Master's in Structural Engineering or related Engineering discipline and three (5) years discipline related engineering experience

Language Skills, Certifications and/or Training

• Fluency in English
• Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of structural engineering
• Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
• Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written, including the ability to actively listen and to adapt behavior and communication style based upon the audience
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
• Skill in following safety practices, and recognizing, controlling and/or eliminating hazards Ability to build trust and credibility with employees/peers and establish common goals and expectations
• Strong analytical skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer's license
• At least 5 years of work experience

Experience in the design, analysis and installation of smelting plants and associated supporting systems.
