Project Senior Document Controller
Description: The Project Senior Document Controller reports to the Manager, Project Services within our Downstream / Midstream Capital Projects team. The incumbent is assigned to support large and small projects by overseeing the project-specific document control duties with intent of setting projects up for success: setting Project-Specific Document Control Plan (including numbering systems, protocols); maintaining and executing the Document Distribution Matrix; setting up and maintaining the Capital Projects Workspace SharePoint site; and providing training, oversight, coaching, and guidance to the Engineering Companies and Vendors who will be directly executing certain aspects of the Document Control Plan. This role will be working with both third-party contractors (engineering companies, vendors, contractors) and internal clients and requires strong customer service and communication skills to align with the needs of the individual project managers and Major Projects leadership.
The Senior Document Controller will lead the implementation of department initiatives intended to: enable continuous improvement; achieve standardization; improve integration across functions; gain efficiency; implement new technology, and align on post-merger transition projects (ex. support transition from Capital Projects Workspace (CPW) to McLaren, or from other legacy systems such as HDMS to McLaren), etc.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reoccurring monthly work effort includes:
1. Facilitation of regular meetings with the engineering companies for ongoing coaching, mentoring, quality checks.
2. Setting up meetings as required with remote, asset-based Drafting/Drawing control teams to manage the check-in / check-out process.
3. Oversight checks of the Document Systems to ensure they are kept up to date.
4. Maintenance and update of the Document Distribution Matrix.
5. Quality checks against the latest Document Index to ensure Project Files and Construction Work Packages are up to date.
6. Development of training programs and roll out and delivery of training to EPs, PMTs, and stakeholders.
Lead Project Services initiatives from document control function:
1. McLaren transition from legacy systems (Tech. Docs, HDMS, other systems)
2. Liaise with Upstream counterparts to obtain consistent Document Control standards within the Capital Projects Team.
3. Initial set up of the Capital Projects Workspace for Downstream / Midstream Capital Projects.
4. Integration of work process with the Engineering Companies, remote asset-based Drawing Control teams, Master Data team, PMTs, etc. This may require occasional travel for planning, progressing tasks.
5. Other initiatives as required to support attainment of 'Best in Class' Document Management per Independent Project Analysis (IPA) benchmarking.

Description: Purpose:
The Maintenance Planner is a key member of the Integrated Planning Team, supporting the Integrated Partnership Model in Production Operations. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning day-to-day preventative and corrective activities. Technical

Ensuring all materials, resources, services, and equipment required, as per an individual work order line-item detail, are identified and available as required:
Requisitioning of resources and materials, Providing accurate cost estimates, Providing accurate cost coding to vendors, Attaching all relevant documentation to the work package, Assigning qualified vendors to undertake work, Manage the planning backlog; work with the relevant integrated partners to plan work requests so that orders are "ready to schedule" For break-in work, create work orders for tracking costs and history. Facilitate weekly schedule review meetings with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to discuss ongoing activities, prioritize activities, review upcoming planned work for the next two weeks and identify maintenance requirements which may have been overlooked.
Identify gaps in SAP master data compliance with the M&R master data standards (e.g., accurate asset register, equipment static data, cost centers including data related to maintenance plans) and take action to address issues. Provide input into improvement and optimization of Preventative Maintenance (PM) Plans. Develop Standard Job Plans, including task lists, based on input from Coordinators, Craftsmen, and vendors. Manage PM plans; develop new and refine existing plans where applicable. Provide support to the RCFA process. Provide input into requirements for commonly used spare parts, in support of the Materials Management process. Leverage warehouse and surplus inventory during the planning cycle, in support of the Materials Management process. Support bidding and execution of major maintenance events and overhauls, as required. Perform active debriefing and after-action reviews in all phases of the planning processes to surface key lessons and continuously improve the quality of planning. Participate in monthly cost review and annual budget development meetings with Maintenance Foremen, Senior Trades, Maintenance Planners and Operations. Leverage performance metrics, including PM completion data, to ensure processes are operating effectively; provide reports as required. Identify, prioritize, implement, and support continuous improvement opportunities.
Promote a disciplined culture as it relates to the accuracy and management of the PM master data.
Collaborate with Operations in turnaround planning. Develop task lists for repetitive routine tasks and turn around activities. Participate as a member of project teams related to Production Operations' and cross-functional initiatives, as required. Support the MOC process.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry experience in Planning and Scheduling.
A strong and proven commitment to safety.

In depth knowledge of maintenance planning fundamentals, including capacity planning and scheduling.

This role resides in the Facilities Integrity Management Program (FIMP) team. Facilities Integrity focuses on sites that connect multiple pipelines or supply gas to customers and perform functions such as increasing or decreasing pressure, as well as measuring and conditioning natural gas. This team develops inspection plans for these sites then assesses the results of the inspections. Each of the unique assets in these sites must be assessed to confirm they are safe for continued service.
The specific role will have a focus on the creation of Integrity Plans for many critical facilities at our company. The creation of these Integrity Plans requires the collection and review of relevant records including design drawings and past condition monitoring activities, identification of integrity threats applicable to the site, and fitness for service assessments.
Previous experience in station design or station integrity within the oil and gas industry would be beneficial.
Requirements: minimum of 2 years work experience.
Education: the candidates would be required to have at minimum an Engineering degree
Technical skills: Experience with MS Office software, Adobe Reader, MS Teams necessary
Helpful but not necessary:
Experience with ProjectWise or similar records management system
Experience with Bentley Navigator or View
Experience with modelling/coding in SPSS software or similar

The Inspection Specialist will be accountable for setting up inspection programs based on industry standards and support the execution, sustainment and continuous improvement of the program. Our client, an industry leader in the North American energy market, is looking for a experienced Asset Integrity Specialist, to join their team in Calgary.


The role supports the Fixed Asset Inspection Management (FAIM) team and APM deployment by creating an interface plan with the Maintenance and Reliability (M&R) and Planning & Scheduling teams of various business units across various sites.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Leverage industry experience, equipment knowledge, software know-how, and customer satisfaction skills to deliver world class experience within the scope of the project.
  • Support project team in review of GE (formerly known as Meridium) APM Mechanical Integrity deliverables to ensure high quality and customer confidence, that could include but not limited to, advise customers on work process and system configuration options around the maintenance and asset integrity management processes.
  • Contribute into the reliability strategies, inspection, process and procedural development and execution.
  • Navigate GE APM MI module to check data and run queries to extract data into excel. Data conditioning in excel (Vlookups, duplicate entries clean up, merge data, link records etc)
  • Navigate SAP R3 PM Module and understand existing process of Preventive Maintenance and Floc structure Fill out excel templates as per the requirements defined by GE APM data migration. Able to run SQL scripts in excel to extract data from databases.


Roles and Qualifications:
Must have:

  • 3 Years of O&G/Petrochemical industry experience.
  • 2 Years of SAP PM Module and master data experience.
  • Basic understanding of Fixed Equipment Reliability management concepts.
  • Knowledge of API 510/570.
  • Knowledge about working on Microsoft SQL management studio
  • GE APM previous experience on any module.

  • Job Overview:
    • The Maintenance Engineer (Technologist) will collaborate with Terminal Operations to provide technical support for equipment and identify reliability improvement opportunities to increase availability and utilization of Distribution assets. This will include: asset performance troubleshooting, sparing strategy development, quality investigations on equipment failures and loss of containment incidents, completion of corrective action, supporting the maintenance work process through work scope development, and trending and course correction of reliability performance indicators. The Maintenance Engineer (Technologist) will be required to support multiple terminals and is a key contributor to the Cross Functional Team and regional distribution terminal network.
  • Key Accountabilities:
    • Support terminal supervisor to perform risk assessments and recommend short term solutions and long term plans for mitigation. Work the CFT to identify, evaluate and implement reliability improvement opportunities through changes to operating procedures, maintenance procedures and equipment upgrades
    • Lead reliability incident evaluations and improvement opportunities, including identification of root cause (RCA)
    • Responsible for Operational, Maintenance and Technical input to the operations of the facility, maintenance of the assets and consult with the CFT on design of new systems and infrastructure
    • Assess the effectiveness of existing asset maintenance strategies and provide recommendations for improvement, where necessary.
    • Assess the effectiveness and quality of maintenance program work, capture and analyze performance trends and provide recommendations for improvement, where necessary.
    • Recommend maintenance & operating technologies and methodologies that eliminate unsafe working conditions and environmental excursions
    • Provide reliability input into the terminal maintenance budget
    • Identify and develop multi-year programs (major overhaul, regulatory inspections, reliability improvement opportunities, etc.)
    • Champion life cycle cost analysis use for equipment selection, maintenance and investment decisions
    • Support major projects to ensure proper turnover and integration into existing reliability programs
    • Share reliability incident learnings with cross function team and reliability specialist peers
    • Lead MOCs for changes related to imminent or actual breakdown of assets
  • Required Qualifications, Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
    • Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited University or College
    • Minimum 10 years of technical experience in Oil and Gas Industry or Refinery
    • Ability to work well with the maintenance execution team and Operations providing technically sound, clear and succinct solutions to equipment issues and repairs that arise.
    • Background and knowledge on troubleshooting and advising on repairs of various types of equipment, especially tanks, piping, pumps and Vapour Recovery Units (VRU's)
