What You Will Do:

*Working independently, able to find, deliver technical solutions and complete custom complex engineering and energy efficiency calculations for assigned customers (Primarily Institutional accounts including: Colleges, Universities, Hospitals, District Systems, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Military Bases).
*Establish and build operational and technical relationships with customers at all levels in the organization aimed at building long-term trust and commitment from the customer to achieve natural gas usage reduction targets.
*Effective use of documentation of Customer Relationship Management tools) for customer interactions to demonstrate effective relationship management and providing supporting documentation for potential audits and verifications
*Proactive outreach to assigned accounts, conduct site walk-throughs to assist customers with the identification, business screening and technical evaluation of potential energy conservation opportunities to improve operational efficiencies through basic building and thermal system audits in pursuit of natural gas savings
*Timely implementation of projects into DSM tracking systems of all potential, active and completed projects that are verifiable and capable of withstanding the audit and verification process and provide specific support during customer audit verification process as required. Provide accurate and timely personal outlooks and forecasts for current year energy conservation delivery results
*Establish alliances with business partners (contractors, equipment suppliers and manufacturers, consulting engineers, etc.) to facilitate the development and implementation of energy efficiency projects, outreach and results.
*Drive energy conservation participation by assisting and influencing their customers, develop high-level business justification cases to help customers make decisions to proceed with projects.
*Develop, update and implement annual account plans for assigned territory and customers.
*Attend and present energy efficiency programs at customer meetings, applicable trade shows and energy forums and events. Promoting energy conservation and representing the brand.

Who You Are:
You will have the following education and experience:

*Related university degree or Engineering degree (preferred mechanical or electrical).
*6 or more years' experience in project engineering, technical sales or project management in industrial or institutional environments.
*Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP).
*Experience with energy and process efficiency projects for complex Commercial or Industrial facilities.
*Exceptional understanding of HVAC systems and the application of process improvements.
*Strong technical and analytical proficiency.
*Proven time management skills, ability to co-ordinate multiple projects while managing personal time.
*Superior written and verbal communication ability and excellent interpersonal skills.
*Strong relationship building, problem solving skills and negotiation skills.
*Membership in Professional Engineers of Ontario or similar professional organization is an asset.

Working Conditions:
This role is a mix of office based (60%) and field based (40%) and requires travelling (approx 60%) mainly within Ontario including overnight. Valid driver's license with a responsible driving record is needed.

Position
Our client is seeking a Project Construction Manager candidate reporting to the Project Director, to manage construction activities from detailed engineering through mechanical completion and handover to Operations for commissioning. The EPC phase is expected to be 4 to 5 years. The selected individual will be part of the Owner's team (PMT).
This senior level position requires previous experience in managing construction for large capital projects in the oil & gas industry, in all phases of project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
* Overall responsibility for safe on-time completion of construction and associated facilities for the project
* Provide leadership and supervise the Owner's construction team located in Houston, Site and Contractor's yards, as required
* Provide input into the overall construction execution strategy including contracting strategy and project execution, as the project develops or changes
* Responsible for construction oversight of primary EPC contractors and other contractors working on the project with the support of the Owner's construction team
* Develop and manage Owner's construction execution plan; provide input into other Project and Contractor plans and procedures
* Coordinate with Owner's Regulatory & Permitting group to provide input for permitting applications, consultations and site permits required to execute site construction; ensure company meets applicable oil and gas industry as well as Canadian safety, regulatory, environmental and quality standards and codes for compliance during the construction phase
* Participate in engineering, supplier and contractor reviews, workshops and audits to ensure safe, cost-effective constructability of the facilities
* Ensure QA/QC and equipment/materials preservation during construction
* Manage construction scopes of work, safety, quality, risk management, change management as well as cost and schedule for forecasting to deliver the project within budget and schedule
* Provide construction reports and presentations
* Prepare the Final Project Construction Closeout and Handover Report
* Support the delivery and handover of plant and facilities to Operations, including "as-built" input to key documents, drawings and systems, as required

Required Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
* 10 years of direct supervisory experience managing large teams
* 20 years of construction management experience in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry; Onshore and Offshore project experience is preferred; LNG project execution experience is a plus

  1. Site Operations Engineer to join their Lloydminster Operations Process Engineering team.
    Work schedule will be 40 hours a week, however as there is travel required at least two days a week and due to the nature of the role, additional hours may be required as needed and directed by the workload and team needs.

    The Site Operations Engineer will:
    * Provide field level process engineering support to Operations and other stakeholders within Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil.
    * Apply engineering theory and problem-solving skills to resolve safety/environmental/integrity concerns, optimize facility performance, and scope/identify opportunities that reduce OPEX or add business value.

    The roles and responsibilities of this Site Operations Engineer will be:
    * Support and collaborate with Operations to:
    o Resolve operational process / equipment issues (analyze and troubleshoot process issues, recommend ideas and solutions).
    o Verify process changes, validate process function, and perform equipment sizing / rating by creating and updating process simulations models and/or completing engineering calculations / analysis.
    o Identify facility bottlenecks, process improvements, and OPEX reduction opportunities; scope and frame to resolve.
    o Support safety, environmental, and integrity concerns; scope and frame to resolve.
    o Complete or support work intake for process engineering investigations and process, management of change requests.
    o Complete process release calculations to support process safety event incident investigations.
    * Provide process engineering representation and support for Operational risk assessments, Project / MOC PHA, revalidation HAZOPs, and other related evaluations (eg. Alarm , Rationalization).
    * Define, implement, monitor, and sustain facility Safe Operating Limits.
    * Support integrated production planning by identifying and managing facility constraints.
    * Support facility outages by quantifying outage production impacts, supporting operational risk assessments, completing process engineering calculations / modelling, and supporting found work resolution.
    * Complete performance monitoring on facility process and equipment; collaborate to drive business performance and operational efficiency.
    * Execute process engineering investigations and small MOCs (ex. set-points changes, chemical changes).
    * Interface with Facilities Engineering to support process engineering requirements for front end scoping and execution of engineering investigations and MOCs (process engineering support for facility changes).
    * Coordinate process trials (PTRs) (eg. chemical trials, process optimization).
    * Interface with capital project teams as needed, support up front scoping and integration/consideration of operating conditions.
    * Support the Enhanced Production Audit Program (annual measurement schematic review, engineering estimates, monthly or quarterly gas sample verification, audits).
    * Complete data gathering / trending to support business needs.
    * Complete and support engineering work in alignment with the Client's professional practice management plan.
    * Support the continuous improvement of business processes and documentation.

    This Site Operations Engineer will possess:
    * Solid understanding of upstream process and equipment.
    * Solid understanding of engineering principles and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
    * Ability to work closely with operations, maintenance, and other engineering teams to achieve goals.
    * Able to manage and prioritize competing demands in a fast paced, operational front-line work environment.

    Qualification for this role will be:
    * Must be registered with APEGA / APEGS as a P. Eng.

Senior Manager, Project Procurement

Petroplan have recently partnered with a Canadian base metals mining company with operations and projects internationally, primarily producing copper, zinc, gold and nickel.

This position will be located in Vancouver BC, Canada initally followed by Argentina or as designated by senior owners leadership team.


Lead Owner's project procurement function for managing the procurement function, engineering/ supply chain interface, and supply chain construction interface activities within the project.
In addition, perform owner's management team oversight of the EPCM contractor supply chain.
The Senior Manager will generally be responsible for projects in the 1 billion to multi billion dollar range. Provide management advice and guidance for all phases of the project including large complex tasks, associated programs and purchase order documentation ensuring a successful project conclusion through all phases while incorporating world class safety and quality oversight and at an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.

Essential functions:

  • Responsible for managing the owner's procurement function's efforts as they relate to project safety, quality, cost, schedule and scope
  • Manage monitor and report on the work performance of the EPCM contractor for the project. Assist in implementing and maintaining cost and schedule controls for the project.
  • Support owner's team directors in all related activities in engineering, construction, controls etc.
  • Evaluate commercial portions of bid submittals, and oversee administration of orders with vendors for the provision of equipment, vendor engineering and technical support.
  • Provides guidance and counsel to the project management taems an applicable processes, practices and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulations, local procurement requirements/


Job Scope:
Develop and lead a world class owner's Procurement team which will manage the associated efforts of EPCM and consultant organisations. Nature of work: Works on extremely complex issues, implements solutions through individual efforts but may delegate more routine tasks to others.
Level of interaction: Collaborates with senior Project executives and site leaders and interacts with external colleagues, Governmental Agencies and senior client management.
Autonomy/decision making: Works under limited supervision and has significant latitude to set objectives, priorities and timelines that may affect a group or functional area within the project.
Budgetary responsibility: Contributes to budget preparation by supplying costs and recommendations. Implements and maintains necessary budgetary controls within the supply chain department.

Management scope: Managers and overseas a direct function staff of 8-10, oversees an EPCM supply chain staff of 50 plus.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a business or technical discipline from accredited curriculum, or in lieu of a degree having successfully completed senior leadership positions on large capital mining or similar projects
  • and ten years related experience and familiarity with processes, systems, project management, supply chain, and construction.

Review and verify contractor invoices related to scopes of work overseen. Requirements and Experience

  • A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technologist with extensive High Voltage electrical design and installation experience preferred.
  • Competent in NFPE 70E Code & Arc Flash Safety
  • Minimum of 5 -10 years' experience in the oil and gas, heavy industrial construction, engineering, and other construction-centric work.
  • Attend all required training courses and certifications related to ongoing and new works.
  • Specific training will be provided by WLNG as required in areas such as confined space, work at height, first aid and incident command, etc.
  • Willing to comply with LNGC's drug-free and harassment-free work environment and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
  • Have good organizational, computer and communication skills working in a team environment.


Additional Requirements:

  • Squamish Area resident preferred or live locally within 30 minutes-1hr drive is preferred.
  • A valid driver's licence and passport.
  • Must be comfortable with Marine type environment as site is remote and travel daily is by boat only and is approximately 7km from Squamish.
  • This role will be a combination of office site-based role.
  • The position is based at our site in Squamish, BC. There may be occasional travel to a local engineering office in the Vancouver area, the EPC contractor's office in Houston or to the Company's Vancouver Office.

The LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

Position
Seeking a Project Engineer - Electrical to lead and manage the design, procurement and installation/commissioning of the Temporary Construction Power System at the LNG site. There also will be an ongoing need to support other components of the early works program. The successful candidate reports directly to Preconstruction Works Project Manager and will play an essential part in supporting the company's engineering and senior management team through the construction phase of the project.
Responsibilities

  • Ensuring safety compliance to WLNG's Occupational Health and Safety programs; promote a true HSE culture leading by example and actively participating in all aspects of supporting the development of safe work plans, JHA, reporting, corrective actions, etc., as required.
  • Ensure compliance to WLNG's Environmental Management Plans and contractor meets permit requirements set forth by stakeholders, environmental agencies and district of Squamish.
  • Support QA/QC requirements and work with PMT Quality Management.

Aides in the development of the strategic direction and vision as a member of the senior liquids team (SMT) and provides input into the development and implementation of the PCSLD vision. Apply deep knowledge of the enterprise service, operations and stakeholder vision for IT Business transformation.

Provides strategic senior leadership for the SCADA Replacement Program by ensuring that goals and objectives are translated into detailed operational Key Performance Indicators that coordinate the activities of the department. Conceptualizes, leads and implements the strategic multi-year program and initiatives focused on using the selected vendors offerings, the strength of certain purchased or internally developed software applications to deliver a reliable and efficient platform for the control and monitoring of all liquids pipelines facilities and related systems.

Provides operational leadership by:

leading the integration of PCSLD business processes, systems, applications and software for the LP business as a result of the SCADA Replacement Program

manage the creation of service level agreements, build training and resource plans, lead change, conduct performance monitoring, develop disaster recovery plans, etc.

Provides vendor management leadership by:

Defining and implementing an effective vendor resourcing strategy to augment the team and mitigate program risk and ensure successful delivery of program

Support vendor RFP and evaluation process including input on key contractual terms and continued management against the SOW

Provides people leadership by:

resourcing/coaching/mentoring/motivating program and project teams

being responsible for the resourcing, assignment and evaluation of all assigned internal resources to ensure the quality, cost efficiency, and timeliness of work associated with their assigned responsibilities.

Who You Are:
You possess a University degree in a related field, e.g., MBA, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

Relevant industry certification, e.g., Program Management, technical certifications or equivalent combination of experience and education

15 years of progressively responsible and related experience, e.g., Information or Operations Technology processes and business management through mergers and acquisitions

Extensive experience in a leadership position and leading technical implementation

Demonstrable experience as overall program leader for at least 1 large scale SCADA implementation for midstream or equivalent industry

Outstanding experience leading large vendor / systems integrator teams

Experience with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA or other enterprise grade commercial SCADA systems preferred.

Proficiency in communications related to leading and acting independently

Deputy Project Director - Onshore Reporting to the Project Director, to manage key areas of the project post-FID through handover to Operations. The EPC phase is expected to last 5 to 6 years.
The position is based in Squamish, BC with travel to EPC contractor's office in Houston and other locations, as required, to support project execution for meetings, workshops, audits, etc.
Key responsibilities:
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing all aspects of project execution in Canada, primarily at site, including HSSE, Quality, Project Services, Procurement, Subcontracts, Regulatory & Permitting, Interface Management, Early Works, Site Construction, Logistics, Pipeline Oversight and Commissioning Support for handover to Operation
  • Supervise local PMT team with members located both in the WLNG Vancouver office and at site
  • Manage EPC Contractor and other local contractors as well as subcontractors onsite
  • Develop and implement key Canadian site specific project plans and procedures to support the overall project execution aligned with core project plans and procedures
  • Coordinate with WLNG BU, core PMT, Regulatory Bodies, Indigenous Groups and local contractors in the development, submission and approval of all Canadian Federal, Provincial and Local permits to support the project execution strategy
  • Ensure areas of responsibility meet all company, oil and gas industry as well as all Canadian codes and standards for safety, regulatory, environmental and quality compliance
  • Accountable for managing scopes of work, procurement, subcontracts, logistics, interfaces, cost, schedule, risk management and change management in Canada as well as forecasting to deliver the project within budget and schedule for areas of responsibility
  • Provide accurate reporting in a timely manner
  • Prepare all documentation for handover of the LNG Facilities to Operations for Commissioning and Startup as well as support Operations during Startup
  • Build strong relationships with Regulatory Agencies, Indigenous Groups, FortisBC and BC Hydro and Local Contractors to support project execution
  • Prepare final project closeout report for areas of responsibility


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 20 years of project experience in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry in various execution phase key roles in project management, engineering, construction and commissioning management
  • 10 years of major capital project experience in Canada, primarily in British Columbia is preferred
  • LNG project and Marine Facilities project experience is preferred
  • Has strong knowledge/experience in field construction and commissioning of LNG, gas compression and gas processing facilities is preferred
  • Has practical working knowledge/experience in HSSE, Quality, Contracts, Project Controls (Cost and Planning), Procurement, Materials Management and Logistics
  • At least 15 years of direct supervisory experience managing large teams
  • Worked on $1.0 Billion EPC projects
  • Able to balance technical decision making with commercial considerations to protect the project goals, objectives, cost and schedule
  • Team player with proven management and leadership skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships quickly in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural, and multi-company environments
