Part time to full time- cost admin in grand prairie, Alberta

FIELD OFFICE & COST ADMINISTRATOR

The field office and cost administrator is responsible for managing all administrative and cost tracking aspects of a construction projects, including invoicing, submittals, contractor billings, and communicating with contractor and subcontractor, clerical tasks , placing small site service orders. This individual must display a high degree of professionalism, organization and cooperation with customers and coworkers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor and track all project job costs, Job progress.

Assist in project control reporting.

Collect, validate and file project field reports / field tickets.

Organize project documentation in an organized and intuitive manner.

Assist in clerical duties where required and perform a range of administrative services through all phases of our projects, from start-up through construction and close-out.

Attend meetings between Client and contractors / subcontractors and taking minutes.

Prepare and maintain RFIs and change orders logs.

Review, validate and process contractors' vendor expenses upon approval.

Manage office supplies, materials and small field services as needed.

Skills & Experience

  • Administration / cost support background.
  • 5 years' experience working in a fast-paced project / site environment.
  • Previous experience on a large scale construction project.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work load.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, effective team player, self-motivated, quick learner.
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work well in team environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in changing work conditions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Email, internet, Excel, Word (MS Office products) and others.
