Coil Tubing Supervisor

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures to meet operational service line requirements

  • Ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures to achieve safety objectives

  • Provide positive solutions, constructive operational feedback, and corrective actions to senior leadership

  • Interact with the customer to provide troubleshooting techniques, job solutions and to confirm all program requirements are monitored

  • Participate in investigative activities where infractions occur

  • Responsible for providing supervisors and crews of the Coiled Tubing Department with proper support, leadership, and guidance while maintaining a high degree of service quality

  • Work directly with and support the Department Supervisor to provide technical expertise and demonstrate best practices

  • Help to identify department needs, as well as helping to create and organize improvements and initiatives

  • Forefront on special projects, commissioning of new equipment, and high profile jobs

  • Review of job programs and tickets

  • Perform regular on-site inspections

  • Conduct special projects, equipment follow up, and clerical duties

  • Job program interpretation and application; executing job design

  • Supervision of junior Coiled Tubing Operators


KEY ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:


  • Strong understanding of coiled tubing capabilities, job types, equipment maintenance and manufacturing processes

  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform equipment assessments to ensure equipment and personnel safety for a mobile coiled tubing operation to maximize customer expectations

  • Must be able to interact effectively and work comfortably with both field and management staff

  • Strong leadership, mentoring and delegation skills

  • Travel to/from the district base is required

  • Ability to perform position expectations in remote locations

  • Basic computers skills, including: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • This position is considered to be a Safety Sensitive Position and may require additional screening

  • This position has bona fide physical requirements and may require additional screening (please refer to the applicable Physical Demands Profile)


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • 5 years progressive work experience in the Coiled Tubing service line including developed operational experience in all equipment

  • Satisfactory Class 1 and driver's abstract required

  • Leadership and / or supervisory experience mentoring personnel in the service line

  • Thorough knowledge of Coiled Tubing pump operations required

  • Basic fracturing knowledge an asset

  • Previous oilfield services experience required
