Deputy Project Director - Onshore Reporting to the Project Director, to manage key areas of the project post-FID through handover to Operations. The EPC phase is expected to last 5 to 6 years.
The position is based in Squamish, BC with travel to EPC contractor's office in Houston and other locations, as required, to support project execution for meetings, workshops, audits, etc.
Key responsibilities:
The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing all aspects of project execution in Canada, primarily at site, including HSSE, Quality, Project Services, Procurement, Subcontracts, Regulatory & Permitting, Interface Management, Early Works, Site Construction, Logistics, Pipeline Oversight and Commissioning Support for handover to Operation
  • Supervise local PMT team with members located both in the WLNG Vancouver office and at site
  • Manage EPC Contractor and other local contractors as well as subcontractors onsite
  • Develop and implement key Canadian site specific project plans and procedures to support the overall project execution aligned with core project plans and procedures
  • Coordinate with WLNG BU, core PMT, Regulatory Bodies, Indigenous Groups and local contractors in the development, submission and approval of all Canadian Federal, Provincial and Local permits to support the project execution strategy
  • Ensure areas of responsibility meet all company, oil and gas industry as well as all Canadian codes and standards for safety, regulatory, environmental and quality compliance
  • Accountable for managing scopes of work, procurement, subcontracts, logistics, interfaces, cost, schedule, risk management and change management in Canada as well as forecasting to deliver the project within budget and schedule for areas of responsibility
  • Provide accurate reporting in a timely manner
  • Prepare all documentation for handover of the LNG Facilities to Operations for Commissioning and Startup as well as support Operations during Startup
  • Build strong relationships with Regulatory Agencies, Indigenous Groups, FortisBC and BC Hydro and Local Contractors to support project execution
  • Prepare final project closeout report for areas of responsibility


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 20 years of project experience in major capital projects in the oil and gas industry in various execution phase key roles in project management, engineering, construction and commissioning management
  • 10 years of major capital project experience in Canada, primarily in British Columbia is preferred
  • LNG project and Marine Facilities project experience is preferred
  • Has strong knowledge/experience in field construction and commissioning of LNG, gas compression and gas processing facilities is preferred
  • Has practical working knowledge/experience in HSSE, Quality, Contracts, Project Controls (Cost and Planning), Procurement, Materials Management and Logistics
  • At least 15 years of direct supervisory experience managing large teams
  • Worked on $1.0 Billion EPC projects
  • Able to balance technical decision making with commercial considerations to protect the project goals, objectives, cost and schedule
  • Team player with proven management and leadership skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships quickly in multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural, and multi-company environments

What You Will Do:

Collaborate and guide with Engineering team members and Plant Managers to ensure compliance of applicable assets.

Project

Quality Engineer to champion its quality management program during the pre-construction and construction phases of the project. The successful candidate reports directly to Quality Manager and will play a part in supporting the company's project team through the construction phase of the project.
This position will require the individual to function with minimal supervision and be proactive in ensuring quality in all spheres. The position will require close interaction with the company's Project Management, Engineering, Procurement and Construction execution teams to ensure successful execution of the Company's Quality Management program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the quality focal point for fabrication and construction site activities.
  • Manage and guide the QA/QC activities during the execution of pre-construction and construction work in a manner that achieves the project quality requirements within the Quality Standards, Cost, and Schedule targets set by the Company.
  • Ensure that all actions, works, and services undertaken by Contractors and subcontractors are in accordance with the respective Contractual Agreement.
  • Assess construction / installation work process and work product verification, (e.g. perform site QC surveillance, participate in Mechanical Completion process, and monitor specification deviations).
  • Prepare site related project quality system management documentation
  • Identify trends, assist and work with Contractor to minimize nonconformance situation.
  • Implement the Execution Assurance program at site in accordance with the project specifications and procedures
  • Monitor quality control performance, coordinate project quality metrics and reporting, and provide quality metrics as requested by Quality Manager
  • Monitor independently the construction work to ensure job compliance in accordance with project specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance to field inspection personnel as required
  • Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
  • Monitor the progress and effectiveness of the project quality management system, propose recommendations and implement improvements
  • Conduct Quality surveillance audits during the pre-construction and construction execution phases with timely management reporting.
  • Ensure that QA/QC culture is visible across all projects at all levels.
  • Provide inputs to the collection of Lessons Learned for the project.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent with 10 years' experience in a quality management position on capital construction projects in the oil/gas industry.

Internal

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing project quality systems that meets the requirements of ISO 9001 for Quality Management Systems.
  • Experience in managing large-scale capital projects including early civil works by performing regular audits and critical inspections as and when required.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops to lead the project team through development of project quality procedures and programs.
  • Has clearly demonstrated strong Quality Assurance competence.
  • Ability to work within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment in both national and international team environments
  • Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
  • Expertise in Welding, NDT systems and ISO auditing is preferred.
  • Have good, computer and communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • Squamish Area resident preferred or live locally within 30 minutes-1hr drive is preferred.
  • A valid driver's licence and passport.
  • Must be comfortable with Marine type environment as site is remote and travel daily is by boat only and is approximately 7km from Squamish.
  • This role will be a combination of office and site-based role.

Our client is currently searching for a SAP Functional Analyst to join their operations in Plano, Texas. The SAP Team Member requires an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of MM/SCM and other Procure-to-Pay related modules.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Provide configuration and support in the SAP Material Management (MM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM).
* Ensure functional specifications and testing cases/results are documented properly.
* Provide immediate support for business to operate smoothly.
* Seek new and innovative Procure-to-Pay (P2P) solutions based on business needs for SCM and other business units.
* Liaise with system developers to determine solutions and analyze business impacts.
* Direct face to face interaction primarily with the company's SCM department.
* Regularly interact with internal customers on support and business initiative issues.
* Responsible for providing feedback to manager regarding project status.


Required Skills & Abilities

* Must have at least 2 years of SAP SCM/MM configuration and troubleshoot experience.
* Ability to configure SAP SCM/MM per business requirements.
* Prior experience in Procure-to-Pay implementation as well as production support is required.
* The candidate must be effective in gathering requirements from the business users, know the appropriate SAP standard functionality/options and be able to clearly articulate the pros and cons associated with each option.
* Ability to identify and analyze issues and develop solutions to complex P2P problems.
* Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of employees, management, external contacts, end-users, and technical contacts.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality, work independently, and handle stress effectively despite time constraints while displaying a can-do attitude.

The Senior Workday Analyst will support our Talent (HR) team, other internal business partners, and company management in the development, on-going maintenance, and operational and technical support of all aspects of the Workday HCM system. In addition, this person is expected to take a critical role in the design, implementation, deployment, and documentation of key Talent projects that leverage the Workday platform.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Workday HCM system expert and point-of-contact for day-to-day support of business processes, integration support, reporting, and dashboards to ensure consistent, high-quality business operations
  • Partner with our Talent team and other internal stakeholders to help them define business requirements, implement, test, and deploy additional HCM modules, changes to business processes, or integrations as needed
  • Develop system reporting and analytics to enable our Talent business partners to identify trends and to empower leadership decision-making
  • Work with IT security team to manage security re-assignments, user access and permissions, and integrations-related security issues
  • Support and test Workday system updates or upgrades
  • Identify system gaps and deficiencies, and if applicable, suggest best practices or process improvements to help fill those gaps

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of HRIS experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of Workday experience

  • Strong Workday Reporting including Advanced Reports, Matrix, and composite reports.
  • Work experience at a company that has implemented Workday HCM
  • Understand Workday security, compliance, and controls to effectively manage and maintain security and roles.
