Job Title: Electrical Designer

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office / 2 days remote)

Job Description:
Petroplan are looking to hire an Electrical Designer to work for a major client of ours out of either their Netherlands office. This role focuses on designing and developing electrical systems for both new installations and refurbishment projects, with an emphasis on innovation and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings, schematics, and layouts for industrial gas plants, focusing on new builds and refurbishment projects.
• Utilise software tools such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant Electrical, and Revit for accurate and efficient design work.
• Collaborate with engineers and other project team members to ensure designs align with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment selection to ensure optimal system performance..
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure designs are implemented accurately and efficiently on-site.
• Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and standards to enhance design quality and innovation.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Electrical Designer in the oil and gas industry, with a focus on industrial gas plants (new and refurbishment projects preferred).
• Familiarity with Air Separation Units (ASU) design is advantageous.
• Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant Electrical, Revit, or similar.
• Strong understanding of European electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
