Senior Instrument Designer

Job Description

On behalf of our EPC client, Petroplan is seeking a Senior Instrument Designer to service an LNG project currently in FEED phase. The role is based in Leatherhead, Surrey. Offered as hybrid working (3 Days in office, 2 days WFH).

This contract opportunity is outside IR35. Starting Immediately for an initial 6 month renewable period.

Job Overview;

This role involves preparing various Instrumentation and Telecommunication engineering deliverables, such as block diagrams, location layouts, cable routing layouts, material takeoff, bill of materials, control room, and rack room layouts.

Job Purpose;

• Prepare and deliver high-quality Instrumentation and Telecommunication engineering deliverables for an LNG project in FEED phase.
• Ensure accurate and efficient design and drafting of instrumentation and telecom systems, complying with project and industry standards.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to provide comprehensive instrumentation and telecommunication solutions.

Job Requirements;

• Experience as a senior instrument designer working on on-shore FEED projects.
• Experience with Smart 3D (S3D) for 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation.
• Ability to integrate instrumentation and telecom designs with Electrical and Piping teams.
• Proven ability to oversee a design team and ensure quality of work.
• Experience in coordinating with high-value Engineering Centres.
