Petroplan are looking to hire The Head of QA/QC to work in Doha Qatar.

This is a permanent residential staff role in country.

You will be working on an asset called Idd Elshargi and its offshore asset.

The position is located in Doha with frequent offshore visits.

The ideal candidate should have all 15 minimum years of experience, education and qualifications such as Charted Quality Professional Member (MQI) or Fellow status, or equivalent. International Register of Certificated Auditor (IRCA) registered Lead or Principle Auditor.

Senior Offshore Commissioning Engineer

Petroplan are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join a major client of ours in a staff position. The client is an integrated national oil corporation that focuses on operating sustainable, long term Oil and Gas resources.

As such they are seeking a Commissioning professional with extensive offshore experience to take responsibility for Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning and Start-Up of facilities in projects within guidelines/procedures set by the organisation.

Location: Doha, Qatar

Salary: Dependent on experience benefits package

Core Competencies/Requirements:

  • Experience working within Commissioning for a major Oil & Gas operator
  • Candidate must have experience in FEED and EPIC projects with capability to review contractor deliverables
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in design, commissioning and start-up of O&G processing plants and as a leader in Topsides, Process Platforms etc.
  • Must have BSc in an Engineering Discipline or Diploma with extensive experience in commissioning of Oil & Gas projects

Control System Engineer

JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
Plan, develop, maintain and coordinate control system DCS & Process Emergency Shutdown (PES/SIS) engineering activities, design, and operation and construction management for all plant facility projects to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of all DCS & PES systems in company plants.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
People Management

  • Supervise the activities and work performed by direct reports to ensure that it are carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
  • Contribute to the development of Qatari employees. This accountability is applicable to expatriate employees only.

Control System Management

  • Monitor performance, identify upgrade needs, collect, analyse and interpret performance data to ensure optimal control systems performance.
  • Monitor and participate in control system installation, modification and upgrades to ensure effective implementation.
  • Work closely with Procurement team in the identification of upgrade requirements, technical qualification of vendors and final selection to ensure that services provided meet company needs and standards.
  • Modify the control systems throughout the plants, by installing all parameters, carrying out procedures as per set guidelines and practices to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare spare parts management requirements at all times and monitor inventory, especially prior to major planned overhauls to avoid and minimize control system disruptions.
  • Plan and schedule the upgradation of DCS & SIS equipment and systems and ensure alignment of all relevant stakeholders to maintain DCS & SIS systems reliability and optimal operation.
  • Participate in developing of process and instrumentation diagrams to support clear and effective operation of control systems.
  • Prepare DCS & SIS system specifications to ensure accurate standardization of material.
  • Prepare cost estimates for respective projects, review and approve documentation developed by contractors to ensure effective selection of contractors that would meet company needs within allocated budgets.
  • Work closely with ICS cybersecurity team to ensure all DCS & SIS assets are secured.
  • Participating of keeping DCS & SIS assets working within the target security level.

  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of departmental systems, policies, processes and practices taking into account 'international leading practices' in order to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Provide critical input to support the development of Section's systems, policies, processes, and procedures in order to meet business requirements.
  • Ensure team members comply with all Section's policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Quality, Health, Security, Safety and Environment
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and relevant quality, health, safety, security and environmental procedures and controls across the Department to guarantee employee safety and delivery of high quality products/services.

Education
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic / Process Control Engineering.

Preferred
Master's degree in Electrical / Electronic / Process Control Engineering or any related discipline.

Experience
Required
Total of 5-7 years of experience in control system function preferably in O&G Industry, out of which 2-3 years at a similar position as Emerson control system engineer, Honeywell control system engineer or Yokogawa control system engineer

Preferred
Experience in Petrochemicals Industry or DCS/SIS systems OEM experiences

Preferred:

  • Functional Safety Engineer
  • ISA Certified Automation Professional« (CAP«) Certification
  • ICS Cybersecurity Fundamentals

Languages
Required: English- proficient
Preferred: Arabic- working knowledge

Job requirements:

Provides estimating expertise and services covering the cost estimates for tenders projects, operating and capital contracts, in order to aid management in determining price of services and materials.

Job Purpose:

  • Minimum 7 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry with major international contractors or clients.
  • Hands on experience of estimation in Facilities Management contracts/tenders, like maintenance & operations of MEP/FF/HVAC systems, Civil & infrastructure renovation projects, catering, manpower for general services and office fit out contracts, etc.
  • Excellent computer literacy with particularly high proficiency in MS Word Excel, PowerPoint, Projects and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Good working Knowledge of SAP.

  • Excellent planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
