Job Overview - LET Electrical Field Engineer/Technician
Reporting to the LET Construction Lead, you will be responsible for oversight of electrical construction activities and the installation of heat trace on piping scopes during the dry dock phase of the Terra Nova Life Extension Turnaround
Key Accountabilities
? In conjunction with the LET Electrical Planner develop a database that provides oversight to the Construction Lead on the progress of completion of heat trace related work. ? Provide guidance to contractor on electrical and heat trace scopes of work when required. ? Liaise with the Terra Nova Engineering contractor(s) for completion of engineering design packages for piping and heat trace scopes ? Ensure project specifications and requirements are maintained throughout project execution ? Management of electrical drawing as building. ? Review and mechanical completion signoff of electrical and heat trace work scopes ? Perform warehouse verification of materials and coordinate marshalling with Supply Chain
Required Qualifications
Experience and Education:
? Electrical Certification (diploma in electrical technology or journeyman electrician) with 10 years offshore industry experience; ? Experience working in a fabrication environment; ? Experience planning work activities within a computerized maintenance software system; ? Experience working with P&IDs, Piping and Heat Trace Isometrics; ? Experience with MS Office and SAP would be an asset.

Skills and Knowledge:
? Marine/dry dock construction experience with detailed knowledge of oil and gas platforms ? Detailed knowledge of Terra Nova FPSO systems would be an asset;; ? Hands on multi discipline construction knowledge and strong sense of ownership; ? Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment; ? Ability to monitor progress and manage change orders to ensure project budget and schedule; ? Demonstrated ability to lead multiple and changing priorities under tight deadlines with strong decision-making skills; ? Hazardous Area Equipment Training would be an asset.
Working Conditions
? Work is initially office based for approximately 5 months, 40 hour work week ? Followed by approximately 4 months of field construction while in dry dock (Spain).
