Job Profile Summary

  • Within scope of the role, has accountability for the following at various levels of responsibility.
  • Planning, development and administration of procurement activities.
  • Procure materials and services. Managing the Purchase Order process.
  • Tactical execution in support of business partner requirements.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Supports end to end supply chain processes.
  • Manages procurement against contract or category strategy.


Job Description
Key Accountabilities:

  • Creates purchase orders.
  • Maintains and manages entire lifecycle of purchase orders and other basic procurement documentation.
  • Assists with and addresses procurement process issues as required and escalates those which are unresolved to more Senior Procurement Coordinators and Specialists.
  • Meets the demands of multiple clients including external stakeholders.
  • Ensures all procurement activities are aligned with the purchasing strategy and procurement plan.
  • Identifies approved suppliers to address requirements.
  • Illustrates independent resolution of basic issues and problems.
  • Understands the key drivers of the business unit being supported.
  • Creates individual annual objectives, measures, and performance targets aligned with the overall Procurement Team and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) functions' performance targets.
  • Has acquired the ability to independently resolve basic issues and problems.
  • Displays the ability to analyze data, review requirements and negotiate effective solutions.
  • Applies general Supply Chain Management concepts and processes and articulates key terminology in daily work.
  • Problems dealt with range from limited to moderate complexity and are guided by policies and procedures.
  • Works directly with line/ site managers.
  • Exercises judgment to achieve the required result based on the technical requirements provided.
  • Follows existing practices, procedures and standards when making decisions.
  • Receives coaching on interpretation of new requirements.
  • Deals with problems which range from limited to moderate complexity and are guided by policies and procedures.



Minimum Requirements:

  • Skill development is focused on decision making and judgment. Work is increasing in scope and responsibility.
  • Ability to apply procurement concepts to execute complex processes in daily work.
  • Ability to analyze data, review requirements and negotiate effective solutions.
  • Demonstrates broad general understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) with advancing skill in key areas of Procurement and Planning, Scheduling and Coordinating.
  • Requires communication skills and effective interaction with partners and suppliers.
  • Applies advanced ERP knowledge to execute tasks.
  • Minimum 1 - 3 years in a Supply Chain or a Procurement related role.
  • Post-secondary Business or Supply Chain background preferred.
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry preferred.
  • Some roles will require a working knowledge of written and verbal French.

* Conducts surveillance of operating equipment and critical parameters, while keeping accurate operations logs.
* May prepare equipment for maintenance and perform maintenance and preventative inspections.
* Identifies improvement opportunities and work with others to implement changes.
* Supports and complies with the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of Client's Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System.

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
* Senior level, typically 7 years of experience.
* Provides more technical support than administrative support.
* Typically viewed as a technical/functional specialist in discipline.
* Ability to apply extensive knowledge and experience to a wide variety of situations.
* Recommends solutions to complex problems.
* Performs major accountabilities.
* Typically acts as a lead in the technical/functional area, coordinating the work of others, but is not a supervisor.
* Class 2 or 3 Steam Ticket a plus
* Prior experience working in a large O&G Plant preferably in Alberta Oil Sands

Turnover and Handover Coordinator

Turnover and Handover Coordinator

Location: Fort McMurray

Contract term : 12 months

Site based position - 2/2 rotation.


The Turnover and Handover Coordinator will report to the site QA/QC Superintendent and support projects in Alberta and British Columbia projects on a two week on/two week off schedule.

Responsibilities are as follows:


* Ensures the contractor quality and commissioning records, acceptance certificates, mechanical completion certificates and the documentation for specific systems and buildings/areas are prepared and collated in accordance with project requirements
* Administers and maintains completion management software
* Coordinates with the planning and scheduling department to ensure milestone dates are understood for each turnover and handover area/system
* Coordinates with the site QA/QC and commissioning for the completion of as-built turnover and handover documentation
* Resolves any discrepancies between the completed milestone, quality and commissioning documentation
* Coordinates with the commissioning department to define the scope of work and develop system component (tag) lists
* Assist the site subcontractors to compile turnover dossiers as required
* Provide turnover and handover progress information for incorporation into project reports
* Monitor hydrostatic test packs for incorporation into the completion management system
* Consider the implications of delays in QC as-built turnover documentation and bring to the attention of the site QA/QC manager
* Monitor and control the status of punch list and exception lists relevant to quality dossiers and walkdowns
* Attend the weekly QA/QC, and commissioning meetings
* Coordinate any inconsistencies with test packages with the field QC site inspectors
