Job Title: SC - Materials Management - Materials Coordinator III
Work Location: FORT MCMURRAY
Assignment Scope: MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19 PRIOR TO START DATE
14 days on/14 days off at Surmont

Key Accountabilities
Responsible for ensuring on time delivery of materials in accordance with contract terms and conditions, including, but not limited to:
* Provide updates for material status and open purchase orders, including expediting, tracking and returns.
* Coordinates scheduling for orders based in material lead times and arrival dates.
* Provides status updates and follow-up to internal client groups.
* Maintains integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory by location.
* Responsible for year-end physical inventory counts as well as daily/weekly/monthly cycle counts.
* Maintains records/spreadsheets for repairs and plan for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts.
* Works closely with supply chain Buyers & operations personnel to prepare, execute and follow material orders and deliveries. Helps to maintain inventory traceability and accuracy.
* Physically capable of lifting materials and product up to 50 pounds.
* Compliance with policy and industry regulations.

Required and Preferred Skills and Experience
* Experienced level, typically 5-7 years of experience.
* Requires a strong understanding of discipline.
* Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations.
* Makes decisions within broad parameters.
* Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.

Maintenance Engineer - Tailings Electrical & Instrumentation
Location: Fort Hills
Contract: Until August 2024
Schedule: 4/3 Day Shift, 40hrs per week 8/12/12/8 due to flying in day 1 and out day 4
Job Overview:

  • Act as point of contact for electrical/instrumentation maintenance and reliability engineering, working closely with E&I maintenance technicians
  • Support as technical interface between FH and equipment OEMs to resolve technical issues and evaluate new products
  • Support and/or lead incident investigations
  • Support project work
  • Provide engineering/field input
  • Review engineering documents and work packages
  • Gather field information
  • Support asset strategy development (spares strategy, PMs, material master)
  • Support turnaround scope development
  • Assess and optimize existing asset strategies
  • Review and/or revise electrical maintenance procedures and practices
  • Power systems analysis, including load flow, short circuit, protection & coordination, arc flash
  • Develop SOWs and engineering packages for brown-field electrical and instrumentation work, including calculations and drawing updates
  • Review and respond to RFI's submitted by Maintenance, Ledcor, or a vendor. Communicate change and assign follow-up actions as necessary
  • Answer SCM/vendor technical questions
  • Perform RCA, prepare report, assign causal analysis team members and set up meetings, assign Enablon actions, communicate learnings
  • Support Ops/Maintenance response, field observations for RCA

Key Accountabilities:

  • SOW creation for electrical projects
  • Analytics' for various Tailings assets (i.e. wear rates, life achieved, etc.),
  • Support maintenance and operations as needed
  • Daily interaction and sharing of data and information within the Reliability group
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Experience and Education: Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Degree; P.Eng Status; 5 years experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Well-versed with CEC/CSA codes; Experience in LV and MV electrical system design and maintenance including UPS, VFD, MCC, switchgear, motors, cables, protection devices.

Job Description Summary:
Senior level. Responsible for complex assignments and specializes in capital project estimation. Works with limited supervision and provides guidance to more junior staff to implement and evaluate assigned work. Viewed as senior site expert in Project Controls.
Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide a full range of cost estimating services involving a full technical understanding of construction estimation.
  • Direct support to Projects, or Programs.
  • Collaborates with project management and teams on matters relating to project controls estimating, other stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Works on projects that are low to medium in risk and complexity.
  • Lead end to end Estimating processes on project initiatives less than $100MM.
  • Understand fundamentals of project estimation, and develop estimates from start to finish.
  • Ensures project estimates use IPA and internal benchmarking tools.
  • Advises on the conversion of the estimate into a Control Budget.
  • Supports estimate requirements for Gate Review and AFE appropriation documentation
  • Supports the development of business cases and provide economic analysis.
  • Analyze Foreign Exchange impacts to the project.
  • Leads and prepares cost estimates for change orders, trends, and extra work orders.
  • Challenges change proposals from Contractors.
  • Participates in Technical & Commercial bid analysis of packages and construction contracts.
  • Proficient in synthesizing Benchmarking Analytics
  • Understands and recommends what types of benchmarking need to be done at the various ADEM (Asset Development and Execution Model) phases of a project.
  • Accountable to inform project decision making.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree (or equivalent). Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Civil/Structural Engineering or in a related field.
  • 7 years of Project Controls (or equivalent) related experience.
  • 10 years of estimating experience in Mining, O & G or other industries.
  • AACEI (Assn. for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) Certified Cost Professional or Certified Estimating Professional (recommended).
  • Covers positions at the senior level within the project control function with specialized working knowledge. Specialized skills & knowledge are applied to complex studies & problems.
  • Provide value-added solutions with stakeholders, including external vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrates coaching and influencing skills.
  • All PC requirements conform to PC terminology.
  • Ensure that the project PC folks understand and are complying to PC processes (teach, guide as required).
  • Measure/track project performance and estimates against metrics and benchmarks.
  • Develop plans/themes to drive continuous improvement.
  • Participation in cold eyes reviews to support internal projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Excellent communication skills - interpersonal, written & verbal
  • Advanced level of knowledge on construction drawings and specifications and understanding of Civil, Mechanical & Electrical systems
  • Understanding of various procurement methods and scheduling and their impact on the estimating basis

* Job Overview: In this role, you will develop job plans that support safe, environmentally responsible and efficient maintenance and outage work to meet strategy-based maintenance requirements
* Key Accountabilities:
-Promote safe working practices in all production and scheduling activities, and follow the set work breakdown structure in the creation of all maintenance schedules
-Collaborate with maintenance and operations to prioritize work and set important outage achievements
-Develop and maintain detailed task lists to assist in the creation of job plans
-Build and distribute weekly or daily schedules to the maintenance team; facilitate schedule development meetings and craft capacity outlook reports
-Submit detailed reports of work progress and status, and assist in reviews that compare actuals with planned projections and schedule; analyze earned value to communicate any possible issues

* Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Valid Drivers license and clean driving record.
* Experience and Education: 5 years exp in Mining/Oil & gas, 3 years exp in planning & scheduling, Trade certification an asset. Completion of planning & scheduling courses an asset
* Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling concepts. Familiar with SAP. Mobile equipment maintenance experience is an asset. Strong communication skills required.
