Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to join their Southern Area Power Operations Department. The department is responsible for delivering electrical energy to customers in the safest, most reliable and economical manner through a competent workforce committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Your primary role will be to plan, estimate and schedule maintenance work across our sites. You will utilize corporate maintenance computer programs and databases such as SAP to provide information in a timely efficient manner and respond to business queries related to assets maintenance, work order, cost, depreciation and any other associated details.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
Process work orders and visit job sites when necessary.
Utilize knowledge of craft skills and knowledge of the equipment involved, and places job steps in the proper sequence.
Identify all materials, tools, equipment, and special preparations required for each job step.
Provide foremen with a completed package at minimum cost. Ensuring that materials are received prior to scheduling the job and that surplus and excess materials are returned to the proper materials handling personnel for eventual return to the Storehouse.
Arrange and schedule support service equipment, to coincide with the maintenance order scheduling.
Provide maintenance performance monitoring data for your assigned area or unit. Prepare whole job standards and review the log of existing whole job standards for potential application.
Schedule coordination meetings and present the weekly schedule of workable maintenance jobs from the backlog. Ensure which jobs will be worked in the upcoming week.
Prepare daily schedules from the approved weekly schedule. Coordinate the daily schedules with maintenance foremen, supervisors and operations Foremen and ensure that a complete planning package is attached to the work order.
Request crane/trailer and ensure contract readiness or other resources required on the daily scheduled jobs. List, edit and check all issued maintenance tickets and plans/schedules work.
Plan major jobs with the assistance of senior planner and develop critical path charts if required.
Update maintenance order statuses.
Generate plant maintenance reports.
Provide maintenance performance monitoring data for your assigned area.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you must have a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Equipment Maintenance or Electrical field.
You should have a minimum of 11 years of field experience as an electrical technician/engineer.

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Cables Department in Leer, Germany on a staff basis. We are also open to applications for our Aberdeen (UK), Oslo (Norway) and Zoetermeer (The Netherlands) offices.

What you will be doing

  • Undertakes responsibility for production of deliverables, which may include engineering support to the Drawing Office, design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, study reports and various 3rd-party submissions.
  • Signs and issues technical documentation as originator or checker, accepting personal responsibility for its content.
  • May agree and monitor performance requirements with direct reports. Where necessary provide day to day guidance.
  • Ensures all relevant safety standards and legal requirements are met.
  • Represents the Company in meetings/correspondence with Clients, Subcontractors, 3rd Parties etc.
  • Support the Principal Engineer and Project Engineering Manager in performing and coordinating engineering for effective project delivery.
  • Ensure full traceability of the technical development of the assigned scope throughout the life of the project.
  • Provide technical support to local tendering teams.
  • Agree and monitor performance standards with direct reports.
  • Understand Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes and key SCM commodity strategies.
  • Actively engage in the project risk assessment and mitigation processes.
  • Undertake, and check others', analysis, design and engineering activities associated with works.
  • Design and detailing in accordance with acknowledged industry Codes, Standards and Design Guides; Client Specifications and Scopes of Work.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Ability to control interfaces within a project structure, including other disciplines, drawing office, document control, project management, client etc

  • Ability to guide and Mentor graduates and junior engineers.
  • Demonstrable experience in high voltage cables and termination accessories.
  • Experience in cables FAT and SAT.
  • Be acquainted with cable monitoring systems.
