Asset Integrity Engineer

The Asset Integrity Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the technical integrity of process equipment such as pipelines, pressure equipment and tanks.

Overview

  • You will be responsible for integrity activities of pipelines, pressure equipment and tanks;
  • You have knowledge of threats such as corrosion and external factors and you are able to assess mitigating measures for effectiveness and performance;
  • You keep track of which assets need to be inspected and you take care of the inspection programs;
  • You initiate and send third parties to carry out inspections on the assets;
  • You analyze the inspection data and report back the findings;
  • You quantify risks and prioritize them;
  • You come up with improvement proposals to reduce risks and increase efficiency;
  • You manage and improve the existing Asset Integrity processes.

Pipelines

You monitor the integrity of approximately 350 km of pipeline through an Asset Integrity Management System and you have knowledge of laws and regulations such as the NEN3655, the External Safety Pipelines Decree and the WIBON.

Pressure Equipment & Tanks

You monitor the integrity of the pressure equipment on gas extraction and treat installations in which you work closely with various internal stakeholders. You have knowledge of laws and regulations regarding pressure equipment and refuelling, such as the PRDA and PGS.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Fluency in Dutch is essential for the position
  • You are technically inclined, eager to learn and curious about the underlying technology;
  • You can think analytically and make connections;
  • You have generic knowledge of degradation mechanisms such as corrosion;
  • You have knowledge of mitigating measures against degradation such as KB and chemical protection such as corrosion inhibitors;
  • You have generic knowledge of inspection techniques such as ILI, DCVG, ROW, Coating inspections;
  • You are able to gain knowledge about materials and their characteristics;
  • You can make generic and detailed plans taking into account various aspects in a project;
  • You are able to make detailed budgets and work descriptions and you can keep an overview of progress and costs during the implementation of projects;
  • You can communicate clearly and listen to the team and external stakeholders;
  • You are able to initiate, implement and evaluate projects;
  • You are a team player and driven;
